Summary
Will Graham accepts a well-paid position as caretaker at the isolated Lecter manor, desperate for solitude and a chance to escape his troubled past.
His only duty is to care for Hannibal – a life-sized porcelain doll the elderly couple treats as their living nephew. The rules are strange, but breaking them has consequences. Doors open by themselves, music plays in empty rooms, and Will’s belongings disappear from locked spaces. The house watches, punishes, protects, and seduces with invisible hands.
Hannibal Lecter is supposed to be long dead, but the haunting grows more intimate, until fear slowly twists into something dangerously close to courtship.
Soon, Will becomes less certain he ever wants to leave…
