A/N
This story is told in several different poems, a boy to a boy, each poem like a chapter. It also deals with heavy topics such as grief and suicide (just a quick warning).

He is dead.
that is the first thing I know,
when I get the text,
I freeze
in place.
I know that somewhere,
he is lying motionless, but an empty shell.
Who found him first?
the thought that follows quickly after
as my mind still processes the emotions,
maybe it was Glorie, his dog
what an awesome dog,
would come up to his resting face
and lick it, that one last time
and bark
and whine
and wish he would wake up
because he was a dog person
a person like a dog
with that endless sun radiating in his smile
that energetic glow in those bright blue eyes
a person like a dog
a dog boy.
maybe a part of her soul died when he did.
