Raphael: Felix! Hey!
Felix: Ugh.
Raphael: Great morning for some training, huh? It’s so quiet! Not even the birds are up this early!
Felix: It WAS a quiet morning. Before you showed up.
Raphael: Pretty nice to have the whole training grounds to ourselves! Say, since we’re both here, why don’t we spar for a bit? Loser treats the winner to lunch!
Felix: No.
Raphael: Aw, why not?
Felix: Unlike some people, I came here to train, not make friends.
Raphael: Friends? Well, that’s just silly. We’re already friends!
Felix: Since when?
Raphael: Anyway, I’m here to train, same as you. Can’t go slacking off if I want to become a true knight, after all! My sister’s counting on me, so-
Felix: And how is dying for some Alliance nobleman going to help your sister whatsoever?
Raphael: Dying? Well, I don’t plan on dying, so-
Felix: Nobody ever plans to. But it happens. Can you handle that? Are you prepared to watch your comrades perish?
Felix: If your commander ordered you to charge straight towards your own death, would you do it?
Raphael: Uh…
Felix: Just as I thought. You’re not taking this seriously at all, are you? From what I can tell, the only thing you ever take seriously is lunchtime.
Felix: Do you really want to help your sister? Then here’s my advice.
Felix: Drop out now. Save her the embarrassment of having a failed knight for a brother.
Raphael: …Oh. Is that really…
Felix: …
Raphael: It is! THAT’S what that sound was! The breakfast bell just went!
Felix: What?
Raphael: Oh, boy! It’s Garreg Mach Meat Pie Monday! I gotta be first in line! See you later, Felix!
Felix: That idiot… Did he listen to a word I just said?

Raphael: Hey, Felix! It’s another beautiful morning!
Felix: What do you want?
Raphael: Wanna be training buddies again today? We had a lot of fun last time!
Felix: What part of our previous conversation was “fun” in any sense of the word?
Raphael: I guess that’s true. You were a real jerk.
Felix: …You don’t seem that broken up about it.
Raphael: Course not! I’ve figured it all out. That was your way of looking out for me, wasn’t it?
Felix: What gave you that idea?
Raphael: You were saying I shouldn’t be reckless on the battlefield. Right? Not when I have someone who’s relying on me to come home.
Felix: …
Raphael: War’s a messy business. All it takes is one mistake, and you’re toast. I don’t like thinking about it, but… that’s how the path of a knight is. Even the ones in storybooks don’t tend to live that long.
Felix: Finally, you’re talking some sense. So, what will you do? Tuck tail and go back to your village?
Raphael: There’s nothing for it. If getting defeated in battle would break my sister’s heart…
Raphael: Then I just have to become so strong that nobody can beat me!
Felix: What?
Raphael: If I can overpower any enemy I run into, then boom! Problem solved! All I have to do is keep training!
Felix: You must be joking. THAT’S the conclusion you came to?
Raphael: That’s what you’re aiming for too, right? Unbeatable strength, to protect your friends!
Felix: Are you trying to pick a fight?
Raphael: Whoa, hey! No fights here! Unless you want to strap on some gauntlets and practice our grappling?
Felix: …Fine. One round. If only so I can show you exactly how stupid your logic is.
Raphael: That’s the spirit! But don’t think I’m going to go easy on you just because we’re friends.
Felix: We’re not– Tch. I don’t know why I bother. Come at me!

Raphael: Oh, hey! Felix!
Felix: Raphael.
Raphael: Whoops, sorry. I should be quieter. Good morning, Felix…
Felix: Don’t bother whispering. Everyone’s used to being woken up by your bellowing by now.
Raphael: Haha! I guess so. We’ve been fighting together for a long time.
(if no recruited students have died)
Raphael: And we’re all still alive and kicking! Just goes to show how tough everyone is. What did I tell you? Unbeatable strength solves everything!
Felix: I think it has more to do with the professor’s strategies than your harebrained theories.
(if at least one recruited student has died)
Raphael: Wish we were all still here, though… I guess you were right. There’s no such thing as “unbeatable strength,” is there?
Felix: Of course there isn’t. You needed me to tell you that?
Raphael: Well, one thing’s for certain. I sure am glad I stuck it out at the Officer’s Academy.
Felix: Seeing real battle hasn’t given you any second thoughts?
Raphael: Nope. If anything, I’m even more sure than I was before. Knighthood’s the place for me.
Raphael: Not because it’s easy. The opposite, actually. I’ve gotta do it because it’s hard. So people like my sister don’t have to.
Felix: What a way to call your sister a weakling.
Raphael: Hey, that’s not what I meant! If Maya really wanted to become a knight, then-
Felix: Let me finish. Becoming a killer to spare your sister the burden… What kind of a life is that?
Raphael: Well, what about you? Do you regret learning to fight? Would you choose to do something else, if you could?
Felix: What a foolish question. If I said yes, would that change anything?
Raphael: What I mean is... You told me before I should be careful not to die on the battlefield. Or something like that, anyway.
Raphael: But doesn’t that go for you, too? Don’t you have lots of people who would miss you? I know I would.
(Azure Moon route)
Felix: Of course I know that. I have a dukedom to look after. Obviously I’m not going to throw my life away. But I’m not about to hold back, either.
(All other routes)
Felix: I… I know that. Whatever. It doesn’t matter either way.
Felix: I plan to fight as I always have. If other people have a problem with that, it’s got nothing to do with me.
Raphael: Looks like we think alike. I’m glad we have so much in common.
Felix: Us? Don’t make me laugh.
Raphael: If we’re so different, then why do we make such good partners?
Felix: Don’t flatter yourself. You’re just… slightly less irritating to be around than the others.
Raphael: Aww, Felix! I didn’t know you felt that way!
Felix: SLIGHTLY less. So, are we doing this or not?
Raphael: You bet we are! Right after breakfast! The bell’s gonna go any minute!
Felix: Seriously? Breakfast already? I didn’t even get to unsheathe my sword.
Raphael: You can’t train on an empty stomach, you know! C’mon, I’ll save you a seat!
Felix: Sigh… You never change, do you?
