Summary
Anastasia Dutton returned to Hogwarts to escape a monster, only to fall for the one everyone else feared.
Remus Lupin is everything Anastasia shouldn't want. He's her professor, he's dangerously guarded, and he carries a weariness that mirrors her own. Yet, an all-consuming pull she couldn't explain began to tug at her very soul – drawing her into Remus’ orbit, revealing the kindness behind his tired eyes and the secrets he's desperate to hide. While Anastasia fights to prove she is more than her trauma, Remus remains hidden behind high walls, convinced his lycanthropy makes him a monster unworthy of love.
As the shadows of their pasts refuse to stay buried, the sanctuary Anastasia sought begins to crumble. With an obsessive ex-boyfriend resurfacing time and time again to reclaim what he thinks is his and the wizarding world eventually spiraling into war, Remus and Anastasia find themselves caught in the crossfire. From the first snows of her sixth year to the final battle of the Wizarding World, they both must decide if they are fated to be – or if the darkness will finally tear them apart.
