Work Text:
The locker room walls reverberated with the sounds of men’s laughter. They were like this before every practice but they were especially hyped for the game they had coming up.
Hakari quickly finished tying up his lace and grabbed onto his stick. He always liked to be the first one out on the ice, making sure that it was smooth, scoping out the layout, making sure everything’s perfect. As he approached he noticed he, for once, wasn’t the first one out there.
Her hair was long, reaching her mid back. It was styled as mullet with a streak of vibrant teal in her bangs. She had piercings on her face and her ears. She wore a simple small light gray dress that flowed with her movements. Her eyes opened for just a second and Hakari was met with the most beautiful purple eyes he’d ever seen. He could feel his face heat up as she spun around the ice.
She’d stopped, seemingly noticing his staring and quickly skated up to the side where he stood. “Sorry. Thought you guys weren’t gonna be gonna be out for at least a little while.” She giggled nervously as she leaned against the wall. Hakari felt himself smirk as she spoke. She had a nice voice, cute. “I don’t mind a free show.” He rested his head in his hand as he looked at her. She laughed again, the voice like music to his ears. “Besides, we aren’t supposed to be out yet, I just like being the first one.” He continued. She smiled and hummed in agreement. “Yeah same, I prefer the extra practice with the contest coming up.”
So she was a figure skater. It figured, she was way too skilled to be a hobbyist. He looked down at the way the way the outfit clung to her figure, her slim waist and small breasts looked great. “The names Hakari, what about you gorgeous?”
She looked at him slyly as she tilted her head to the side. “Hoshi.” He pouted slightly, “What no first name doll?” She giggled at his words. “Not unless you give me yours.” He dramatically sighed and looked away. “Fine, Hakari Kinji.” She slowly stepped out of the rink patting him on the shoulder. “Nice to meet you Kinji. Have fun of the ice handsome.”
He called out for her as she left. “Hey! You still didn’t give me your name!” He could hear her laugh echo as she left, leaving him high and dry. He sighed and went to start practice.
After a while of practicing he sat down for a break. Panda, sat down next to him and silently handed him his water bottle. “Hey man, were you talking to some girl out here?” He asked. Hakari spat out his mouth guard and took a long sip. “Yeah but she wouldn’t give me her name.” He sighed in defeat. Panda handed him a small slip of paper. Hakari raised his eyebrow as he unfurled it. “Yeah thought so, she gave me this and said to give it to you.” On it, in neat strokes was written,
Call me I’ll be at your game. - Hoshi Kirara.
Right next to the letters was a small heart and underneath it was her phone number. He gave a small chuckle before folding the paper back up and tucking it into his jersey.
Jackpot.
