Ethan Young has a Luca Haas shaped problem. But No matter what he does, Luca Haas is totally clueless. Flirting, trying to get closer, nothing works. He's starting to try to come to terms that his crush ( or love of his life, take your pick) is straight. Girl-liking, no fashion sense, "kissing the homies goodnight isn't gay" type straight. God he was so fucked.
Luca Haas is trying to stay calm. Very calm, very still. He's worried if he makes any sudden moves, he'll scare off his "straight" "best friend" Ethan Young. He can handle the closeness, constant hanging out, rooming together, sleeping in the same bed even on occasion. That's just what "straight" "bro friends" do right? Right?
"I'm just going to hang out with Luc!" Ethan protests. "Hanging out huh?" Wyatt says playfully. "Hanging out is very vague, where are you going?" He adds on, looking for further reaction past Ethan's flushed face. "Y'know what? I don't think this was in my contract. You're too nosy for your own good!" Ethan shouts out playfully before practically running out of the door.
What was so interesting about him hanging out with his best friend ?! Like sure it was the third day they had seen eachother... for like 8 hours straight each day, and maybe it was currently 8 am... and it was possible that the other day Lisa had found them cuddling over a bowl of popcorn and a scary movie... but that's just what bro's do!
Who was he kidding? Ethan Young is in love. In love with a blonde, blue eyed, muscular, beautiful boy - named Luca Haas. He sighs. For now, all he could do was keep the effort to woo him and hope he notices. This is really what his life has came to. And the whole MLH thing if you count that as impressive, but whatever.
"Hey! Where are you going!" Ilya calls out whilst pouting. "Shane, our son doesn't love me enough to tell me where he's going, later when he gets kidnapped we will not know who to pay ransom to!" Shane quickly responds,"Still not our son."
Living with the Hollander-Rozanovs was great. It really was. They took Luca under their wing whilst he got settled in to a new country, team, and dealt with homesickness. But when someone loves as hard as Ilya Rozanov, he notices things. And more times then not, he chooses to be a complete and utter menace about it. That man was too perceptive for his own good.
"Jeez dramatic much, I'm going to hang out with Young." Luca shouted from the doorstep whilst stumbling to put his shoes on.
"Don't forget condoms!" Shane replied.
Luca slowly turned around, getting redder by the second."What was that Hollander?"
"Just your dad making sure you practice safe sex, now hurry along зайчик !" Ilya said in-between giggles.
"We're just! Friends..." Luca stuttered out. He quickly walked out with one airpod in.
"Luc! What are we listening to today?" Ethan says.
Right. Ethan. His liebe. Bien-aimé. Geliebten. Standing right Infront of him. Down-bad is what Ilya would call him. If he knew. So far only the diary he kept underneath his bed needed to know anything more than the simple facts. Ethan Young is his best friend. Roomie. And Luca Haas is "straight".

"Malcolm Todd ?"
Luca nods. They get into the car. Together, as it always is. "Hey what times Bood's barbeque again? Ethan asks tentatively. "Like three? What do you want to do before that?" Luca responds.
"We could ask Bergy and Pointey if they wanna go somewhere."
"Yeah but I like spending time with just... You." Luca knew he fucked up. If you couldn't tell by the bright blush of his cheeks, you could tell by the way he was stuttering to make up for it.
"Not like - not like that, if you wanna invite them you can."
"We don't have to."
Really? "We don't have to",what was Luca supposed to respond to that? Curse Ethan's voice and the way it's so... Stunning. No literally, Luca was stunned. Like a baby deer. Does he drive around with Ethan all day, with him being funny, and lively, and endearing the way he perfectly sings along to any song whilst claiming to be tone deaf? Or does he offer a movie marathon where he has to deal with the most beautiful man he's ever laid eyes on lay his muscular body across Luca's lap without being able to do anything about it? Abort mission. Syntax error.
"No we should ask if they want to do anything"

A 10 minute drive. 3 songs . Approximately ten minutes of belting at the top of his lungs with Luca Haas. Cool. That works.
When they arrive, they slip into a booth and wait for Bergy and LP. Next to eachother, as always. Any closer and they'd be on top of eachother. As always.
