Chapter Text
Ms. Hunter's breath left her, as she shifted to her side. Her body tensed feeling the tight muscles pinch at the spine. It felt like a thousand sinaps creating a burning rush, as she groaned in pain. She carefully placed her hands at her sides, and softly pressed down the firm mattress to lay back down on her back.
It took too much to even move, so she tried to understand where the pain was coming from now. Her spine, her leg, her hip, her stomach? The pain was all connected in a way that it would drift to different points if she dared move. Sometimes sharply, or slowly travel to each point tricking her into believing she was safe just this night.
It didn't matter if her brain had been too tired that day because the pain kept her there. If she laid too long, she would be in pain, but if she moved too much she would be in pain.
It felt haunting alone on days when her breath didn't feel like her own. When she began to slip into her mind to try to lull herself back to bed. Carefully looking into her mind just to remind herself that it was going to be alright. Her eyes would move around trying to decide if it was even worth moving.
Unlike last night, she didn't think to give an ounce to her movement. It hurt each time to remind herself how fragile she was.
What was another bump of pain when her hip hit against the wall when her spine finally relaxed into a curve? Another pressure that slowed her legs while she avoided the wanders, or a gash that she caused herself being reckless?
Ms. Hunter’s eyes slowly shut before letting out a held in breath. She prayed it wasent going to take long until another hit of fatigue came. Pain became another noise. To her it was another thing that slowly tired her out, but to Rafayel it was another risk that she was willing to take.
