Work Text:
Gwen screamed, a sharp shrill sound, one that bounced through the morgue. Toshiko was standing, wrapped in one of the shrouds that they used in the morgue, her eyes wide and horrified.
Toshiko died in 2008. Toshiko died 10 years ago.
She felt nausea rise up her throat, and clutched a hand over her mouth.
Toshiko stared at Gwen, confusion written over her face, “Who are you?” She looked down at herself, “Who am I?”
Gwen couldn’t look at her anymore. Couldn’t see the woman she’d loved and lost looking at her as if they’d never met.
“Stay there,” Her voice was shaky, but the commanding tone remained strong. Toshiko just nodded.
Gwen fled.
