Kim Iwol quietly walked along a street, fully, or just mostly, hidden and covered as he navigated through crowds. Maybe because he happened to be dressed like a criminal, but he did recieve a few strange stares from other people. He swears he's not a criminal, though. He's just an Idol! And the last time he went out with a hazy mind and a pitiful state, he forgot to wear a cap and mask and was bombarded by multiple fans and non fans alike.
Wow. How has his life changed so much.
Anyways, he was actually just on a regular walk, but as he stopped, he happened to glance at a store that coincidentally was selling The Dawn merch. He looked at a certain bunny-eared man plushie, he looked away, his eyes slid back uncontrollably. They perfectly recreated that adorably smug smirk Hoyun would have whenever he knew he was saying something right and correct... and it looked like no one was going to buy it.... and the craftmanship.... maybe Iwol should just get it.... he didn't have much to spend his money on..... and it was just staring at him...... and the material.......
Kim Iwol glanced around, half discreet before shuffling into the store, feeling a warmth creeping up his neck and onto his cheeks as he dashed through the aisles and found his eyes catching more.... beautifully made.... works and he couldn't help but grab them. I mean- that poster looked like it was drawn by an amazing artist! And that keychain definitely had a lot of work put into it. Wouldn't the manufacturer be sad if no one bought it? And obviously, if he was getting one plushie, he had to get another to make sure it wouldn't be lonely.
... Before he knew it, he approached the person at the till and avoided their eyes, pushing the various merch he'd grabbed toward them and reaching for his card.
"Ah. A Seo Hoyun fan?" They spoke in a friendly tone, probably having been trained to say that but Iwol still nodded, trying to ignore how it felt like he was receiving multiple deadpan or disgusted stares. Hey, even that dog was looking at him a little weirdly... he pushed his cap lower. "That's so cool, I'm also a fan of him! I personally prefer staring at his face whenever I'm tired.. it energises me." Oh, a kindred spirit.
Except Kim Iwol wasn't exactly a fan- Not to say he wasn't a fan, but he wasn't not one either. Wouldn't it be better to say he was just supporting his boyfriend? But obviously, he couldn't say that in public and he definitely was also acting somewhat similar to a fan. He just gave a low grunt, trying to hide his voice and nodded his head quickly.
"You bought so much merch, that you're eligible for a special prize! This is a personally autographed bunny hat in the theme of Hoyun-ie." The cashier spoke, "it's a lottery, would you like to enter? Just write your email on this form, and you can pick this up in a few days if you win!"
If they were offering....................................
Kim Iwol scribbled down an email quickly, watching the cashier bag the various items that made him feel embarrassed for falling to temptation and beauty and desire and his boyfriend and he actually wasn't embarrassed about that one but it was technically Hoyun's fault for being so cute! So it counted. He had to dash out of the building before he could be held back any longer, making sure his mask didn't fall and that his cap remained firm on his head as he resolved himself to not do this ever again, even if he probably would...
Seo Hoyun
Ya. Kim Iwol.
What is this.

Explain.
Kim Iwol
Surprise...??
I'm sorry.
Seo Hoyun
?
Why are you apologising?
Kim Iwol
?
Aren't you angry?
Seo Hoyun
Am I?
I'm just wondering why someone would buy cheap knockoffs when they have the real thing.
Kim Iwol
Ah.. but you looked really cute as a plushie...
And the keychain meant I could carry something related to you around all the time.
So I couldn't resist.
We're both so busy, that we can barely even go out on dates too, so we've never even gone out to a restaurant either. I just wanted something to remind myself of you.
Seo Hoyun
Keep it.
We'll figure something out about hanging out.
