Summary
Kim Soleum was told that he will be going into a high level darkness by the squad leader. Seriously, why him of all people—like, he does get that he's the top rookie of all the rookies but still, a coward like him needing to go into a B level darkness?!
To make matters worse, Baek Saheon, who is his psychopathic roommate is also coming with him and Lee Jaheon into this ghost story. Why him of all people? He can't just outright refuse to go because the higher ups specifically choose him to go on this expedition with the people he is going with—and that he practically has no power in this company.
Kim Soleum just prays in his soul and heart that no incidents happen and that he will rarely need to interact with Baek Saheon. But hopes are just hopes for a reason.

PART 3 SPOILERS, DIVERGES FROM CANON AT CH 373
It had been three years since that day. Baek Saheon was doing great. In terms of his job, he had climbed the ranks faster than anyone else. Already a Section Chief with his own team. The proper higher ups were kissed up to, the proper subordinates were menaced. He prioritized his life and job over everything else. He was flourishing. So what if his long-term subordinate just died? People come and go so easily, it was best not to get attached, so of course he felt nothing about it. And the fact that it happened the day before that specific anniversary definitely did not make it hurt worse. Baek Saheon was fine.
So when a Doll in a familiar shape appears on his desk, delivered by someone he thought was long dead, what else was he supposed to do? NOT bring it into a Darkness with him and follow the instructions in order to summon himself a Good Friend?
It wasn't like he needed the companionship or anything...
But maybe this one wouldn't leave him.
