Summary
Daotok thought the past had finally stopped following him.
He had Arthit now. A love that felt warm, steady, and safe. Friends who stood beside him like family. A life that no longer belonged to old wounds.
But when Kram comes back, refusing to accept that Daotok has moved on, the quiet peace Daotok built begins to shake.
And this time, Daotok will not have to face it alone.

I really liked how soft and protective everyone was
“Yes, P’Arthit.”
Arthit looked at him.
Daotok smiled sweetly.
“What?” he asked.
“You only call me that when you want to look innocent.”
“I am innocent.”
“You are not.”
Daotok’s smile widened a little. “But you like me.”
Arthit’s expression softened before he could stop it. That was one of Daotok’s favourite things about him. Arthit always tried to look composed, like nothing could shake him, but sometimes his feelings betrayed him in the smallest ways.
A softer gaze.
A slower breath.
A hand reaching out before he remembered they were in public.
“I do,” Arthit said quietly.
Leaving had not been simple.
Kram cried. Then shouted. Then promised to change. Then blamed Daotok for giving up. Then disappeared long enough for Daotok to believe it was finally over.
And then Arthit happened.
Not suddenly.
Not dramatically.
Arthit did not crash into Daotok’s life like a storm. He arrived like sunrise. Slow, warm, patient. He never demanded Daotok’s trust. He earned it in little pieces.
He listened.
He waited.
He stayed.
When Daotok flinched from affection, Arthit did not get angry.
“Dao.”
Arthit.
Daotok turned.
Arthit stood at the end of the hallway, still in his faculty shirt, breath slightly uneven like he had walked fast or run. His eyes found Daotok first.
Checking.
Always checking.
Daotok gave the smallest nod.
Arthit’s gaze moved to Kram.
The warmth disappeared from his face.
He walked forward, slow and controlled, until he stood beside Daotok.
Not in front of him.
Beside him.
Daotok loved him so much in that moment it hurt.
Kram looked Arthit up and down. “So you’re the boyfriend.”
Arthit did not answer the bait.
Instead, he looked at Daotok. “Do you want to leave?”
