Usually, you’d spend the night in your own room within the Ethereal Island castle. But the room was way larger than expected and it often made you feel lonely. So you thought about asking your partner, Reebro, to sleep with it in its room for the night.
You paced around your room trying to figure out how to tell it without sounding weird or desperate, when suddenly, someone knocked on your room’s door.
You didn’t think it’d be Reebro, but you really hoped it was. When you opened the door, you saw Jeeode in front of the door, arms crossed and a patient expression on its face.
“Jeeode? What’s up?” You asked, trying not to sound too disappointed.
“Reebro’s what’s up. It wanted me to ask you if you’d be willing to let it sleep over with you.” Jeeode said, sounding a bit annoyed. It looked like it just wanted to sleep.
“Yeah!!!” You exclaimed, but then quieted down, as everyone else might be asleep.
Reebro dashed into the room very quickly, shocking you. Jeeode then left, muttering, “Why did I have to relay that?” as Reebro curled up and your bed, looking at you pleadingly.
You laughed, shutting the door and walking towards your bed to sit down next to Reebro.
“Sorry about that, I just got… nervous!” it explained to you.
“It’s alright… I also got nervous.”
“Nervous to what?”
“I was also gonna ask the same thing as you…” you confessed, blushing a bit.
Reebro laughed and playfully punched your shoulder. “Of course you were!”
You laughed too and wrapped it in a biiig hug. It wasn’t too late, so you thought… maybe you could watch a movie together.

At this point you had no idea how almost 45 minutes had gone by because you were in and out of micro-sleeps. Though you knew that Reebro was still awake, so you tried to keep petting its head.
Reebro was sitting on your lap while you leaned on the bed frame with your legs crossed, enjoying the movie.
Even though the movie was your idea, you were feeling very very sleepy. Especially because you were cuddling Reebro in such a comfortable setting.
You hoped Reebro wouldn’t notice you nodding off, but since you were giving it head pats, it definitely noticed when you stopped even if for a few seconds.
“Hey… feeling tired?” Reebro asked, half-teasing and half-genuine.
“No… it’s fine, I’ll survive the movie.” You lied, knowing you probably couldn’t but not wanting to stop cuddling Reebro.
“Oookay then. If you say so.” It replied, definitely not convinced.
The movie droned on in the background, but your focus was on trying to stay awake and petting Reebro.
You loved it so much and you didn’t want to disappoint it by sleeping in the middle of the movie! Speaking of time, how much time was left in the movie…?
Oh. It’s only been ten minutes you still have at least an hour! And how many times have you almost fallen asleep in the past ten minutes? Yeah, no, you’re not making it.
And Reebro knew that too, so the next time it spotted you nodding off, it took the remote and paused the movie.
You crossed your arms in slight frustration, but you weren’t winning against Reebro nor sleep.
It got off of your lap to let you lay down, and you did. It curled up beside you and you put your arm over its head.
Reebro put its arms around you, trying to give you comfort so that you fall asleep easier.
Even though you didn’t want to, it was kinda of late, and you’ve been so tired that your eyelids felt heavy.
“Hey… I know you’re really tired. So uh… just rest, okay? Don’t try to stay awake if you can’t.”
You blinked a couple times, and finally the sleep won. But it was okay, because Reebro was lying right next to you, and you know it would stay there all night.
