MMJ! to host their new Descent tour starting May 2031. Show locations within the tour's first leg have been confirmed.
Fresh off their Asia sweep that concluded in Taipei last December, MORE MORE JUMP! (MMJ!) have just announced a global tour on all social media platforms including PicShare, TrickTrick and Chatter.
"I'm at a loss for words," says their manager Saito Ayaka. "I'm so, so proud of them. The girls have worked really hard to give their all to their fans across Asia in the past year. It's only fair to reward that dedication with an even wider audience. Hope is in short supply these days, after all."
When asked about what the fans can expect, Saito laughs heartily. "I mean, I'd love to tell everything to all of you! But if I talk too much, Airi-chan (Momoi Airi) will nag me until the sun rises tomorrow, so…"
She clears her throat. "A-anyway!"
"Fans can definitely expect our original lineup on the upcoming tracklist and a few new ones as well. Obviously, it hasn't been easy for the girls to prepare new songs especially when we're moving around so much. But after Taiwan, we're fortunate to have some time to record a few songs back at home."
"This time, MMJ! wants to focus a lot more on the concept of 'stumbling'. No one on this planet can always have good days, you know? Sometimes there are moments where things just don't work out. In the past, the answer from the girls has always been the same - to keep looking forward and keep having hope. But how can you appreciate that without fully understanding the bad days?"
"We hope to give our take on what that all means in the end. This isn't us forgetting our roots, rather us wanting to bring a new chapter into our story as a band. And hopefully the fans will be there to witness it too."
The first show of the Descent Tour will be held on the 8th of May 2031 at the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo, Japan. Pre-sale of tickets will begin on the 11th of February 2031 at 10:00 a.m. JST.

MORE MORE JUMP! are an independent idol group based in Tokyo, Japan. Formed in 2024 while they were in high school, the group consists of Hanasato Minori (lead), Kiritani Haruka, Momoi Airi and Hinomori Shizuku. They rose to fame after winning the inaugural LUMINA Grand Prix in 2025 - widely considered as the hardest edition in its production history starring teams like Cheerful*Days, ReLight and ImU.
MMJ! are notable for their extensive repertoire of bright pop songs often revolving around themes of hope. Off the stage, they also do the odd livestream that fans can tune in to via PlayTube and Witch.

There's a DARK turn in MMJ's new tour?!
They finally announced it. OH MY GOD.
In case you're still under a rock, MMJ! are hosting a new world tour titled Descent starting this May. Their first stop is the Budokan, before setting off to Seoul and beyond. But you're not here to listen to me lecture on facts. I mean, those dusty editors at Tokyo-Neo already do that (booooo).
You want scoops, and our insiders have just the thing for you!
First, the songs. The classics are essentially confirmed:
- Newly Edgy Idols
- FUN!!
- We are
- The peachy key
- Angel's Clover
- IF
The second-batch songs are still largely unknown (we think it's a toss-up between Heart Forecast, Poppin' Candy☆Fever! and Kisaragi Attention), but our sources swear on one song. Apparently, MMJ! plan on using it to transition between their current tracklist to the new releases.
That song is Going On as We Are.
Holy shit. Holy, holy shit.
That is a Leo/need trademark - MMJ! are doing a cover of their breakout song. Could this be another escalation in the spat between both groups?
For those unaware, MMJ! lead Hanasato Minori has been spotted arguing with Leo/need bassist Hinomori Shiho last September in Osaka during the MMJ! Asia sweep. Rumour has it that Hinomori accused Hanasato of "defending someone she never understood" and that Hanasato will "regret stepping in". A stunning turn of events, given that we know both were extremely close friends in the past.
Both have denied the incident.
We know that Hanasato and fellow MMJ! member Kiritani Haruka announced in August 2030 that they have been secretly dating for quite a while (look at them in Goa!). One wonders, could this be a fit of jealousy from Hinomori? After all, she's known to be the serious one in her band - it's rather rare for her to show emotion in public, let alone this.
And Leo/need also took a small break from performing just as the announcement was made, so…
Well if everything is true, then this is unprecedented from our dear little idol group. Imagine, Hanasato is offering the olive branch to Leo/need herself! True to her word, she's always giving hope no matter what.
Now what say you, Leo/need? I dare not imagine the consequences if there isn't grace in return. They won't let the fans down, right? Surely not…
And how can we forget the new songs? Our sources wrangled two names for us - Corrosion and Glass Evening. It really looks like they're going all in with the new message of 'stumbling', huh? Our team has a few theories on how the songs will look like here, so go check it out!

BREAKING: Leo/need to cancel stops in national tour in an unexpected move.
Famous J-rock band Leo/need have announced the cancellation of stops in Sapporo, Sendai and Fukuoka on all notable social media accounts. The root cause is not immediately clear to fans, although leader Mochizuki Honami took to PicShare to share her thoughts.
"First of all, I'm really sorry to the fans! You've taken so much time off in hopes of visiting our shows, so for us to pull the rug like this is pretty awful on our part." she stated in her latest post. "We're dealing with a bit of a personal matter within our group and it's taking up a bit of our energy. So right now, our focus will be on venues closer to just around Kantō at the moment."
"We know that you're worried about us, but please don't worry! It's a small issue and we still want to meet all of you. Leo/need will definitely host a rescheduling soon, you have my word."
Fans all over have given their support and well-wishes to the group, although a few online users have noted a similar parallel to their sudden pause in September last year.
