Summary
Kanade, the daughter of a comatose composer, goes on a search for medicines throughout Kanto (get it since they live in kanto yeah you get it) in order to help her father and his Pokemon. She meets a few friends on her journey, with their own goals: Mafuyu, a "destined" prodigal Pokemon trainer; Ena, a "failed" artist; and Team Neo-Rocket grunt Mizuki all meet Kanade along this journey, and this is how their paths cross, zigzag, and maybe even connect.
This will not contain spoilers (aside from, like, locations and who characters are (no plot though)), nor is knowing much about the games required. Some creative liberties have been and will be taken, so keep that in mind (like, cities will be bustling rather than just like kinda populated). also they might go to other regions
This will not contain any canon characters from Pokemon except those required for relevance (gym leaders, for instance), but they will be pretty minimal. Kanade was sure if she looked a little more to her right, she would've been able to see the fireworks perfectly fine with her own two eyes. She was sure she would've found them beautiful, too. But somehow, they seemed even more so when she saw them reflected in Ena's—warm like liquid gold; her very own pool of sunlight; the centre of her universe, almost close enough to touch.
In the moments thereafter, she stared in silent awe as their light continued to refract off of Ena's wide eyes, leaving star-like imprints on her irises. Now, more than ever, she found her so, so—
"So pretty," Kanade whispered.
