Chapter Text
His lips were soft upon his, the soft sounds of his breathless moans echoing across the half empty room. Fingertips trailed hot liquid fire across his already burning skin, eliciting raised bumps that reacted to the cool night air. The sheets felt too rough on his skin, compared to the mouth, and the fingers that laid their marks willingly on his body. Fire, and complete surrender to the feeling and force of the man above him. His hips raising and meeting every thrust. A throaty grunt escaping him, some swallowed by the other, and some buried in the pillow as he turned his head.
He felt desired, claimed. The dark eyes feasted upon him, and he was in pure ecstasy. He’d never felt this before, never been this broken in half and stitched back together. It was almost like he was purely made for him, everything fit perfectly. Pure alignment. His lips were marred from his own teeth, as he tried and failed to control his pants and moans.
“Say my name,” the man above him whispered hotly in his ear, breath brushing across his sensitive flesh.
Lando arched further into his touch.
“Oscar,” Lando released as a cry.
The meeting dragged on forever, the engineers doing the most to try and get the team to understand their game plan for the weekend. Zak sat at attention at the head of the table, nodding nonchalantly and writing down information like his life depended on it. Andrea was also focused and agreeing, with Oscar Piastri sitting right beside him. Lando however, had his eyes on Oscar, his cheeks flushing as he remembered the vivid dream from the night before. He couldn’t get it out of his head, couldn’t escape the wild thought of Oscar’s lips ghosting across his skin. Couldn’t take his eyes off the Australian Driver even as he slightly squirmed in his seat.
He was not paying attention to the meeting at all, so it was entirely his fault that he got startled when Zak called upon him for his opinion on something. Everyone’s eyes turned to him, and as soon as Oscar’s brown eyes met his, Lando flinched away and his empty notebook suddenly became very interesting to look at.
"You alright?" Andrea asked, ever the concerned parent.
"Mm," Lando mumbled a reply as he quickly glanced up.
Oscar was still looking at him, brows furrowed slightly with familiar concern.
"You look tired," Andrea added, leaning forward slightly in his chair.
Of course he did, he'd spent half the night in a very vivid dream and the other half of the night wide awake and wishing the dream had been true. The meeting had been scheduled for days after the previous race, and this just happened to be the only time that both Lando and Oscar were available. They'd done many promotional events in the past few nights, and last night Lando had witnessed Oscar in an all black suit and practically found heaven. Truthfully, the all black suit is probably what triggered the dream but he wasn't complaining, nor was he ever going to allow anyone to snoop through his photo gallery because he'd been up late after the party saving every possible photo he could find online of Oscar and his black suit.
It wasn't creepy, it was admiration. At least, that's what he kept telling himself.
"Anything to add to the meeting, Lan?" Oscar asked, his head tilting in that adorable way that Lando loved.
Lan. He'd adopted that nickname when the Internet decided that him calling Oscar "Osc" also meant Oscar needed to give Lando a short version of his name. Lan and Osc, the dynamic duo from McLaren F1 Racing, two time constructors champs and one recent world drivers champion. He was Lando Norris, British Formula One Driver with loyal ties to the Kiwi brand but to Oscar, he was Lan.
"Uh no, I think we covered it?" Lando answered, eyes unable to lift to meet his Australian teammate.
"What about your downshift issues?" Oscar asked with a frown.
Curse this man for being attentive to his every need.
"Oh, I'll go over it with my team, later." Lando replied, finally meeting Oscar's gaze.
"Are you having the same issues?" Tom Stellard asked Oscar, leaning forward to read his drivers' expression.
Oscar shook his had, mousy blonde hair flopping in response.
Cute.
"Okay, well if that's it, meeting is adjourned. Can I please get all the engineers to stay behind as we have some other issues to discuss. Oscar, Lando, thank you for making the time." Zak spoke up, meeting his team's eyes before giving a curt nod.
Oscar was the first to stand up, dragging his notebook and pen across the table as he picked them up. Lando followed suit as he pushed away from the table and got to his feet. Lingering slightly at the table, Oscar waited for Lando to walk around before falling into step with him as they left the conference room.
"You've been very distracted lately, is everything okay?" Oscar asked, their shoulders brushing slightly.
Lando could feel the burn through his thick sleeves.
"Yeah I'm fine, just can't wait for the break, ya know? Even if we're down three races." Lando replied, with a slight shrug as he focused on the floor in front of him.
"It's been hot this year," Oscar agreed with him.
"What's your plans for the break? You and Lily going to go exploring?" Lando asked.
Her name. He wished he didn't have to say it, but he couldn't pretend she didn't exist. He wished she didn't. No, he wished she existed, just not to Oscar. They'd been together since High School, so Lando knew his wild fantasies would never come true, because she was there. Honestly, Lando had nothing against her. She was lovely, she was sweet and kind and everything you could ever want but she had everything Lando wanted.
"Oh, I thought you'd heard. Lily and I are separated." Oscar replied, nonchalantly.
Lando's whole world tilted on it's axis and brought him to a complete halt. Oscar noticed after a few steps and turned to look at him.
"What?" Lando asked flabbergasted.
"Yeah, well my focus has been work lately and I felt like I wasn't giving her the attention deserved. We're still friends but we decided to not date." Oscar replied, eyes focused on him.
"But you've been together forever, isn't the whole world going to implode?"
Oscar's eyes crinkled as he gave a short laugh.
"No, Lan. It won't. I hope she finds someone who can give her what I couldn't." He replied with a shrug.
He was too chill about it. Even for an Australian, too laid back about it.
"You know you're allowed to be upset about it." Lando offered as he stepped forward to close the distance between them.
He reached out to grab Oscar's free hand, giving him a slight squeeze of strength.
Something softened in Oscar's gaze and he smiled, a little more gently.
"I know, Lan." He replied.
Oscar's eyes fell to their joined hands and Lando followed before letting go quickly with an embarrassed chuckle.
"So no plans then?" Lando asked, taking a small step back.
"Just might visit home, you?" Oscar asked, curious.
"Don't know, Max and I were gonna go hit up the slopes but I think he's got family commitments now." Lando replied, with a shrug.
"If you don't want to be alone during the break, you can come with me. I'd love to show you more of Australia. You really only see Melbourne, and not usually for long anyway." Oscar offered politely.
"Oh it's okay, I don't want to inte-"
"You're not interrupting. I'm offering." Oscar chided him with a look.
Lando shrunk back with a shy smile and chuckle.
"Only if you're sure. I would love to see more of Australia to be honest." Lando replied.
"Okay well I leave in four days. I'll buy you a ticket, that way we can get on the same flight at least," Oscar said as they began to walk again.
"Oh you don't have to!" Lando retorted with a surprised look.
"And how else will you get to Australia? You can pay me back, I just want to make sure we go together, silly." Oscar replied to which Lando flushed.
Lando felt a buzz in his pocket, and quickly slipped his hand in to pull out his phone.
Max's name flashed upon the screen and Oscar smiled at him.
"I'll leave you to it and I'll message you flight details later," he said before gently clapping Lando on the back and moving away.
Lando watched him go for a moment before swiping his thumb across the screen to answer the call.
"What?" He said in way of answering.
"And hello to you too, best friend." Max Fewtrell replied with a slight laugh.
"I was busy. You ruined my walk with Osc." Lando replied, his eyes still glued to the hallway that Oscar had left.
"Ruined? Did you even speak to him? Because usually you're a stuttering mess around that boy." Max replied, his humour filtering through the phone.
"Hey! I speak to him. We're teammates, so of course we speak." Lando bit back.
"Mhm, sure." Max hummed.
"Is there a reason as to why you are calling, or you're just calling to annoy me?" Lando asked with a sigh.
"Yes but I am also calling to let you know that plans have changed and I am available to hit the slopes now." Max replied, and Lando responded by gripping the phone a bit tighter in his hand.
"Well too late. Osc invited me to go to Australia with him, and I said yes. So too late." Lando replied, turning to look back from where they'd walked.
"He invited you to go back to Australia with him? Damn, he didn't let us do that when we raced together and we asked a few times."
"Yeah well I'm more important to him than you are," Lando bit back and Max laughed.
"Ain't that the truth, okay well, I won't interrupt your love holiday with your lover boy." Max replied, and Lando could hear the smirk in his voice.
"Don't be jealous, Max. I'm still your bestie."
He could almost hear Max roll his eyes.
"Alright mate, I'm leaving. Got things to do. Catch up later?" Max started to bid farewell.
"Okay, yeah, will do. Hey, can you do me a favour?" Lando asked, as he glanced both ways down the the hallway.
"Sure? I won't commit murder though."
"No, I just.. I want to make sure I don't look like an idiot when I go with Oscar, can you help me with some Australian stuff?" Lando asked.
"I'm not Australian dude, why don't you ask Daniel?"
Lando thought about it for a moment.
"Good point." He replied.
"Alright, I'm out!" Max replied before the phone beeped indicating he'd hung up.
Lando stared at his phone after he'd pulled it away frim his ear and smiled gently to himself at the photo of the McLaren team photo on it. His arm was slung around Oscar's shoulders and Oscar was beaming at him.
Not at the camera. At him.
He had good reason to want this, he loved that smile. He loved that laugh. He loved everything about Oscar. God, he was desperate. Exasperated.
His fingers were texting before he could stop it and the message was sent. Lando knew he'd get a reply. Daniel always replied to him.
If he was going to win Oscar over, he'd need his own Australian weapon.
