Work Text:

They were both panting. Their heavy breaths intertwined. Sweat covered their entire bodies, but despite this, neither of them slowed down. They wanted to arrive as soon as possible.

Fast, faster. More, more.

"Jade? Are you okay?"

Trey asked, panting. Sweat was trickling down his face in slow drops, but he was still more beautiful to Jade than ever. His amber eyes burning with excitement, his flushed cheeks, his hot breath, they were all so beautiful to Jade as he looked up at his boyfriend.

"Yes. I'm okay." Jade smiled, and that smile was sincere.

Trey was lost in those mismatched eyes. He had spent a lot of time looking at Jade, and yet he could never get enough of him. Even now, as they were doing this tiring activity, there was that mischievous glow in Jade's mismatched eyes. Trey had never thought Jade would be able to pull him into this so quickly. But who could resist those fake tears and puppy eyes? Trey would agree to anything Jade asked for so quickly. He was lost when it came to Jade.
But isn't that what they call love? And Trey was definitely in love, head over heels. Like in a bad teen movie. He'd do anything for Jade, he'd jump right in if he needed him. He couldn't help but let that stupid smile creep onto his face every time that cheeky moray eel-merman entered his thoughts. Yes, he was completely lost.

His panting grew stronger. His breath caught as he watched Jade.

"Wait a minute, Jade, I can't take it anymore." Trey groaned.

"Hold on a little longer for me, please, darling." Jade giggled, but his breathing was getting heavier too.

Trey could feel the heat on every part of his skin. Every part of him tingled and yearned for release. Jade reached out his hand longingly towards Trey. Trey clung to him tightly, as if that hand that was only gentle with him, was his lifeline. Skin rubbed against skin in the unimaginable heat that surrounded the two of them. Trey heard nothing but his quickened breathing and Jade's small, suppressed giggle.

"Don't laugh, this is the first time I've done this."

"I'm not laughing at you, my dear. Shouldn't I enjoy it when my boyfriend is doing anything for me?"

"Yes, yes. You're already doing whatever you want, aren't you?" Trey's panting slowed his speech.

Jade, laughing, squeezed Trey's hand tighter. The Heartslabyul vice-housewarden was about to lose himself in the feeling. To lose himself completely in Jade and in this smoldering moment. No matter how much he complained, this moment was still perfect. Why? Because Jade was the one he could experience it with. He wouldn't have wanted anyone else by his side. He needed Jade and no one else. Jade and those playful, bright eyes and cherry red lips and that burning touch. Trey's thoughts blurred, the world glowing before his eyes for a moment as that bright light hit him.

"That was the steepest uphill I've ever seen. You could have spared a beginner." Trey panted, leaning on his knees, when they reached the top of the mountain after several hours of hiking.

Jade laughed out loud at the sight of his exhausted boyfriend."What would be the challenge in that, my dear?"

"Really? Is that why you made me climb the steepest uphill in Twisted Wonderland on our first date? How considerate of you." Trey grimaced, which made Jade laugh even harder.

"But the view was worth it." Jade took a few steps toward the cliff.

The playful mountaintop wind ruffled that longer black lock. Jade unconsciously tucked the lock behind his ear, his gaze fixed on the distance. Trey's breath caught. An angelic phenomenom appeared before him. As the sun flickered on the sweat dripping down his neck, as the wind caught his hair, as that familiar smile played on his face.

Yes, Trey decided to himself, it was worth it.

Exhausted, he collapsed onto the grass and pulled the picnic basket he had been carrying with him and began to unpack it. After preparing the romantic picnic spot, he stood up and walked next to Jade, who was still observing the distance with his mismatched eyes.

"Yes, it was worth it." Trey whispered softly. So softly, he didn't want to disturb this perfect moment. He slowly wrapped his arms around Jade and hugged the merman.

"By the way, Trey..." Jade's lips pulled into a cheeky smile again. He gestured with his eyes towards a fallen tree trunk. As Trey looked closer at the tree trunk, he noticed some strange colored spots on it.

"Mushroom?"

"Mushroom."
