CHILDE

— Childe is not having it

— He will straight-up punch the lights out of anyone who dares to come between you two

— The problem being that they're staying hidden behind flowery words and a stupid pseudonym

— Whoever was behind these notes is truly a coward, at least in Childe's eyes

— If he finds one of those notes in your bag or home mailbox, it's being ripped to pieces in no time

— Preferably before you see them

— Anyone who comes up to you out of the blue is immediately on his suspect list

— Coworker? Old friend? Some random guy on the street asking for directions?

— He could see them all as your potential admirer

— And it's so frustrating for him

— Usually, he can solve his problems with a simple brawl, show them who's stronger, and therefore more deserving of you

— But whoever this was could snipe him at any point

— He's not very happy about it, so he resorts to dirty tactics

— Childe becomes a lot more affectionate in public

— It started with a few more kisses on the cheek, then his hand holding you lower on your waist

— And slowly, it devolved into making marks on your neck, visible above your collar (which you chewed him out for)

— Then, finally, a ring on your finger

DILUC

— Diluc was confused when he saw the crumpled piece of paper on your desk

— He hated going through your stuff without permission, but a heart on one of the corners of the page caught his eye

— As he read through it, he only grew more confused

— That is, until the last line; From your secret admirer

— He had questions now

— Turns out you had been getting progressively creepier notes on a daily basis

— And Diluc was furious

— While he's the quiet, loving type, showing his affection when behind closed doors, it was a well-known fact that you were dating

— But to think that someone would disregard his relationship with you like it was nothing... it made his blood boil

— Subconsciously, Diluc felt the need to become more doting in public

— Holding your hand, caressing your cheek, standing closer to you whenever you're near

— He was worried that his love for you wasn't obvious enough

— It was also a silent sign that told everyone else in no uncertain terms that you were together

— But the letters still came

— So he decided to use some of his contacts to track the bastard down

— And when he finally found out who it was...

— Let's just say that the Darknight Hero was swift with action that very night

AYATO

— At the end of a long day, Ayato wants nothing more than to cuddle with his doting spouse

— He always expected to see you waiting for him on your shared bed, arms open and ready for him

— But instead, he found you with a grimace on your face, reading a letter

— Ayato hated to see you in such distress, so when he asked what was wrong, he fully expected it to be some terrible news of a family member dying or something as catastrophic

— And technically it was, at least to Ayato

— An admirer was sending you love notes, written in impeccable handwriting, on pink paper, and hearts galore

— He wasn't the type to let a simple note get the better of him

— But this was his lover

— And anyone who tried to come between you two...

— Ayato declared a silent war

— He knew you'd be forever faithful, but he had to teach this so-called admirer a lesson

— At every opportunity, he showed his love, even if it was slightly unprofessional

— Galas had you glued to his side, more expensive gifts, outfits that matched his favorite shade of blue, and most importantly...

— The mark on your neck that was no doubt from him

— A testament to what happened the night he learned about the notes

— Rumors were spreading about your escapades, even a few speculating about why there was a sudden rise of affection from the Yashiro Commissioner and his spouse

— The notes slowly dwindled, the admirer seeing no point in trying to sway a devout lover such as yourself

SCARAMOUCHE

— Furious. Absolutely furious

— Scaramouche knew it had to be some Fauti subordinate of his. This was clearly some way for a loser he yelled at to get back at him

— When you handed him the letter you received that morning, it only took a moment for him to read the first few sentences and grow irritated enough to tear the page to shreds

— Few things could really get under Scaramouche's skin, sure, he was irritable, but nothing could really hurt him the way that someone trying to steal you from him would

— With every letter you got, Scaramouche only became more and more paranoid about who could be this admirer

— Anyone you spoke to seemed like a viable suspect, so he was glaring at every single one of them

— He picked up on a few people who'd linger next to you, fleeting glances, and smiles that disappeared when you were out of their sight

— It made him sick

— At this point, he had an idea of who was doing this

— And when a certain letter reached you, it was the last straw for Scaramouche

— Filthy words, declarations, those of which made him storm out of your shared abode and down to Fatui headquarters, where he knew his suspect would be (Since he's been watching him for a while now)

— The idiot got his ass kicked, with no mercy from Scaramouche

— When he was done, he simply told the guy that if he ever tried to get between him and you again, it would be an even worse fate for him

— And as he returned to you, anger was evident on his features

— Scaramouche tore the letter, hopefully the last letter you'd ever receive from some secret admirer, and brought you to bed

— His usually rough exterior melted away, leaving him to dote on you silently, head buried in your shoulder, arms wrapped around you

— Scaramouche couldn't lose you. Not like he's lost everything else

PART TWO

VENTI

— Your smile always delighted Venti

— He swore you could light up the night sky with your joy, and he may have even written a song about it

— But there was something about the smile you had racing up to him that made Venti nervous

— Your cheeks were a bit rosy, eyes sparkling in a way that Venti had only seen a few times, and a gleeful air around you

— When he asked what had you in such a good mood, you showed him a letter written as a sweet poem with rhythmic words and loving phrases, signed under, Your Secret Admirer

— His stomach started to drop a bit as he read through the words

— It was truly beautiful writing... that you had gotten from someone other than him...

— Venti's lips pursed slightly before returning to his usual smile

— He said he was happy for you, but he couldn't help but feel worry creep up into his mind

— This person was clearly infatuated, but so was Venti, and he wasn't going to give up on you without a fight

— So he dug through every song he wrote, every poem, every random scribble of lyric he thought of when you came to mind

— Venti didn't really need much sleep anyway, so he spent the night composing a song

— A song just for you

— And he performed it just for you

— Once the last line left his lips, he leaned down and kissed the bridge of your nose

"Now, Windblume, if you could throw away that note from before? I think mine is a lot more suitable for you~"

XIAO

— It was always a habit of yours to call Xiao just to chat

— The first few times were a bit irritating, but he grew to love the small moments where you'd call his name, a big grin on your face as you recounted your travels or latest commission

— Xiao expected the same when he heard his name fall from your lips, but was shocked to see a small note in your hand

— Your smile was radiant, a flush on your cheeks, and the sight of you like this alone was making him breathless

— You immediately started telling him about the note in your hand, a handwritten letter declaring their love for you

— With each word you read, he only felt his spirit dwindle

— Xiao was quiet as you went over the letter, with his usual frown only amplified

— You asked what was wrong, but he told you it was nothing

— He left soon after you recounted the letter, disappearing to the top of Wangshu Inn to collect his thoughts

— Xiao's eyes drifted across the landscape, the memories of moments you shared with him almost in every place he glanced over

— The feelings he had for you couldn't be explained with words, nor was he able to write with as much eloquence as your secret admirer

— He was a man of action, simple as that

— In that very second, Xiao appeared before you, nearly sending your soul out of your body from the abruptness

— Xiao took your hand and placed it on his chest, right around where his heart was

— The rapid beating let you know what he was about to say was genuine

"Please... despite everything... don't leave me. I couldn't bear being without you."

CYNO

— The General Mahamatra had many duties, but the one Cyno was most known for was delivering harsh punishments to those who went against Akademiya rules

— A visit from him struck fear into the hearts of most researchers... except for you, in fact, a sense of joy appeared every time you saw his face in your doorway; and the feeling was mutual in every sense of the word

— Cyno wandered around the campus throughout the day, sometimes unable to be found by anyone looking for him

— But every now and then, he'd come to your office in the Akademiya

— A friendly chat would be shared between you two, and maybe he'd bring you some coffee on late nights

— It was one of those nights when he entered your small office, a cup of dark roasted coffee in hand, when he saw something that made his blood boil

— Another researcher, a guy Cyno wasn't familiar with, was chatting away with you, a flush on his cheeks and a hand on your shoulder

— You noticed Cyno right away; the bright smile pointed in his direction made the pit in his stomach dissipate ever so slightly

— Greetings were exchanged, but Cyno could tell that whoever this guy was didn't like the General Mahamatra appearing so suddenly

— That's when Cyno noticed a note in the guy's other hand

— Actually... That note was familiar, the same pink shade of paper that Cyno had noticed was in your trash can for the past few weeks

— Rumors had been going around that you had a secret admirer, but was this actually him?

— Apparently, the meeting Cyno had walked in on was this guy confessing his feelings to you

— Which were being rejected?

— When later asked why, you simply said that you would only accept a confession from him and that that note was nowhere near dorky enough for it to be from him

"What do you mean dorky? My jokes are fantastic."

KAZUHA

Kazuha is a man known for his eloquent poetry, rhythmic words, and a loving stare reserved only for one person: you

— To anyone other than you, it was obvious how Kazuha felt

— From the way his gaze softened at the sight of you to the smile etched into his handsome features whenever you were around, it was clear he couldn't be more infatuated

— And it was one of those slow days, drifting across the sea with the Crux fleet, that Kazuha noticed something out of the ordinary

— Another crew member, one sitting awfully close to you, was talking your ear off, and by the looks of it, you were barely able to keep the polite smile on your face

— Kazuha took a few steps closer, not trying to eavesdrop, but rather standing near in case you needed help

— But a few words that the crew member said made the Samurai's cheeks flush

"I know you like Kazuha's poems, so... I thought I'd write you one."

— Kazuha was delighted that you enjoyed him reciting his poetry to you, but there was something about the way your own cheeks flushed at the mention of his name that made him curious

— The poem that the crew member wrote was awful, to say the least, no rhythm, no flow, almost like a toddler had written it

— But least of all, it was very clearly a declaration of love from the crew member, his eyes staring into yours with expectancy, awaiting a response

— Kazuha's feet moved on their own, taking your hand in his and leading you away without a word

— Both you and the crew member were shocked by the sudden appearance, but while the other man stood silent and flabbergasted, you simply smiled at seeing his familiar face

— Once you were a fair distance away, you thanked him for getting you out of that awkward situation

— He only had one response, a light dusting of pink on his cheeks

"Forgive my rudeness, I... didn't wish for you to be striken by such abysmal verses. If I may, could I recite my own declaration for your heart?"
