Laying around all summer was never fun, and you've been doing it since you've gotten off from school! Playing the same games, scrolling on the same apps, reading the same things.... Ugh, this summer was so bo-
A ding from your computer.
"Probably spam.." You thought, but since it's 2 am and you have nothing better to do than sitting around and being chuddy, you decided to just open up your computer and check it out. It won't...hurt.
Clicking on the email, you get flashbanged by a bright gif, your eyes squinting attempting to get used to the new light. Through your slightly blurry vision, you saw five girls in some sort of pajamas, each having separate colors but it shows that clearly, there's a theme here.
In the background behind the girls, it seems like an empty world, with white and gray checkered walls with the floors matching also. On the top of the gif read the words "Jellyous, THE GAME!" It had a sort of funky font, the letters being stretched out and pixelly. Looks like a fun game, huh?
The gif kept going, practically pointing to itself and begging you to click on the link to download.
2:10 am. You're wasting some time you could've spent your 10 minutes having fun and learning how the game works, why aren't youuu.... Your finger glides on your mousepad, hovering on the link until you finally click on it.
Downloading, downloading...Done!
You saw the little page of the game on your computer, it was a art like png of a little...jelly heart gummy. Jelly? Jellyous?- Guess it's fitting.
Opening the game, simple pixel art of the five girls shown on the gif, running, and holding hands until it abruptly stops and fades to black. This might be what you get for downloading a free game, it just takes up your stora- Oh!
It shows a pretty pastel like background with all the characters and add ins sliding through, kinda like watching it all be assembled in action. That's..actually pretty cool. The title appears again, start game, new save, blah blah blah, you look at it, admire its aesthetics, now start game!
Once you click, it opens to reveal a monage of a character named "Yunah", with a blue and red headband , a matching set of pajamas, and jet black straight hair. She's described as an energetic gal, who's somewhat a little childish for being the oldest. With her energy, she has an added boost for her stamina.
The next is Minju, she has a different color scheme. Adorned with yellows and a few greens, and a yellow blush that showed off her features perfectly. Described as somewhat introverted, but it's balanced out with an eccentric side to it too! A pro for playing her is a fun boost , sure to make the other characters you're not playing as is to make them let loose and have fun!
Next is Moka, the only one with her hair up in absolutely ADORABLE high ponytails with two strands off to the side framing her face, and on that face is a mole near her nose! She is described as the mom friend, but somehow the most quiet, but still kind and thoughtful. She's got an added boost for kindness, that everyone's sure to love!
Next is Iroha! She has striking strands of white in her hair, with significantly more blush than anyone, making her eyes stand out more and just looking more cute overall! Almost nearly as playful as Yunah, she also has an added boost for stamina!
Next is W̸̨̝̝̳͂̈́̽̓ŏ̸̧̝͓͉̤͋̆̊ň̷̬̩̦̩͆̄ḥ̴̓́e̴̤̅̾é̸̖́̊̚͜¡
The screen glitxhed out, with not only the letters of her name looking distorted, but also her face...
The calming music that previously put you at ease came to a halt, replaced with an eerie sound of chimes mixed with what sounds the scratching of nails on a chalkboard. You nearly threw off your headphones, panting in fear... It's almost 3 am, for gods sake! Shit, but you hope you didn't break your headphones almost...
Once you picked your headphones up and looked at the screen, it seemed to go back to normal, the calming music resuming, but something was off now.
Pausing and looking closer to the screen, you see a small red text almost blending in with the background saying "Don't trust Wonhee." You're really creeped out now...
You quickly return back to the screen showing Iroha and in a hurry, clicking on the girl until a warning came up.
"Ah, ah, ah! Don't be so quick to decide just yet! Iroha has some cons to her, just like any other character! She is extremely influenced and naive, along with-" You skipped over the whole paragraph and in a hurry just clicked continue, anything would be better than that girl Wonhee..
Another pop up came up, this time looking more serious, and you could tell by the red accents around it and the way the music stopped entirely.
"Don't think just because you chose one of the other girls that things would end differently. Your choices don't matter in this world."
Your hands shook while going over to your mousepad to press x on the pop up, before it dissapeared on its own and the game continued as normal. The 5 girls came up as their cute pixel forms again, walking on the downloading bar until it reached 100%.
