Chapter 1: How it started

Chapter Text

It started small. The shared looks between them, even when they first met, the hand holding when things were too rough, the endless hugs by the end of the show.

But of course, all platonic, at least that's what leeknow thought… Right?

That was until this very night when he woke up in Hans bed, when he realised what had happened the night before.

In a drunk dazed state, out of his mind but… he didn't fully know if he regretted it or not.

But before that, let's start from the beginning

***

HANS POV:

The spark ignited early on, just slight enough that nobody could notice, not even themselves.

Though somehow everything was so natural.

It happened at the survival show when Han made the decision to hold Leeknow's hand while he was rapping, to encourage him.

And that was the point where people go back to when they think about when everything started.

They both slowly got closer after their debut, it wasn't rushed or sudden but it was faster than most people would.

Most of the members didn't notice, other than Chan of course.

Chan was the type of person who would very quickly notice things but know when to interfere and when not to, and this time he decided not to.

He just decided to watch this play out alongside Seungmin.

Because obviously Seungmin noticed, He noticed anything and everything and rarely made it known. Sort of like a silent assassin.

The little things like sitting together more times than necessary, and holding eye contact slightly longer than others.

Han had liked Lino since the moment he saw him. It was love at first sight, and he knew it. He had fallen. Hard.

It was very subtle like Han catching himself staring a few seconds longer than necessary, laughing at jokes Lino had said that weren't even funny half the time, noticing the little things, how he talked about pudding, and the choreographies.

He started both remembering small things about Lino and forgetting what he said most of the time, with his words blurring together when he was talking passionately about most things.

The only thing Han could remember was the topic, and the amount of happiness in Lino's eyes when talking about certain things.

As for Lino, he had felt the exact same way but the thing is he had never really liked anyone before and didn't even know what it was like to have someone like him.

So in his mind there was nothing that had set off any alarms quite yet and there wouldn't be for a while.

Han had decided to keep these feelings hidden and hide them he did.. Terribly.

Yet somehow Lino didn't notice. AT. ALL.

No matter how much he stared or called him cute Lino always stayed oblivious. I mean it wasn't his fault at least, he didn't know.

Although, that doesn't mean it didn't hurt for Han. Continuously trying his best and still staying in the friend zone.

But there was no way he was going to stop trying, especially this early.

LINOS POV:

Lino was a peculiar soul. He had spent most of his life thinking that most girls just didn't want to date him.

He felt kind of romantically unlovable, though that didn't bother him much.

It was mostly his parents telling him to find a partner while he never really found an interest in girls and for most of his life he was fine with being single.

At least that's what he thought, until one faithful day when he would meet Han Jisung.

Now Lino didn't necessarily start falling on the spot when he first saw Han but there was something.. Unusual about him. Both of them.

He had thought that it was just some good intuition. That Han would make a great friend.

Oh lord would he be wrong.

Not that Han would be a great friend, it was that neither Han or Lino wanted to just stay friends, he just didn't know that yet.

Even so he felt that attraction that he hadn't felt for anyone and so decided that he would try and talk to him.

*Training, pre-debut. (After survival show)*

Lino walked up to Han after building up the courage for an embarrassingly long amount of time.

“Hi,” Lino said, waving as he walked towards him.

“Oh hi, uhh Minho, right?”

“Yeah, Jisung?”

“Yeah”

After a very.. Long moment of awkward silence.

“I just wanted to ask” A pause. “What are you going to do after practice?” He said spacing out the words as carefully as possible.

“Oh uhh,” Han had somehow got startled at the question even after the speed of the pacing.

“Nothing, I guess? Maybe I'll go home and eat something.”

“Oh okay, If you're free then would you like to go for a walk later? To get to know each other." Lino had asked with that same careful pacing that he didn't fully know why he was doing.

“If you want to of course” He added quickly

“Sure.” Han said with a small smirk that for some reason had made Lino's heart start beating a little faster than usual.

“Okay, good. I'll see you outside the building after practice?”

“Where else” Han added with slight amusement.

Lino walked back to where he originally was exhaling a small breath of relief,

That actually worked. Lino thought.
