Ironically Born Again

Summary:

Years after the second Wizarding war. Harrietta Potter gets struck by the killing curse for the third time in her life in an auror mission gone wrong.

When she opens her eye's she finds herself neither at King's Cross nor at St Mungo's but in a pink crib!

The girl-who-lived lives—yet— again, this time not as Harrietta Potter, The slayer of a dark lord but as Isolde Grindelwald, The hidden child of a dark lord.

15 year old Isolde, who has her father wrapped around her finger, is sent to hogwarts to keep an eye on her father’s ex lover and also to stay save away from the war.

Isolde wanted to do nothing more than keep her head down and observe her once mentor discreetly as just an another half-blood orphaned in the war. But fate certainly had other plans because a certain baby dark lord can't take his eyes of her.

Chapter 1: Chapter 1

Chapter Text

"Avada kedavra"

Green light struck her.

It was the third. The third time she was getting hit by this spell. Would she come back alive again? She wonders.

The last thing Harrietta Potter saw before hitting the ground was the pale stunned face of her comrade and then it was nothing.

She felt nothing.

She was nothing.

She felt weightless like a feather wafting through the air.

Harrietta was seventeen when she won the war. Seventeen when she killed the most feared snake-faced dark lord and now she was thirty-five dying by the hands of a amateur magical terrorist. She can clearly imagine Voldemort throwing a tantrum on the floor at the fact that an amateur did what he couldn't.

Take notes from him Tom. She thought.

Time passed. Hours, Days, Months, Years, she didn't know. Time was moving.

She wondered how long it would take meet her mother, father, Padfoot, Moony, Fred, Tonks. Was she also going get to watch over her loved ones on earth like her parents watched over her?

If she did the she wanted to watch— Ron and Hermione grow old together, Malfoy's and Ron's reaction when their son and daughter start to date eachother. And Her Teddy— her beloved godson, her charming little prince she raised pouring all her love into. Harrietta knew that he would be the one most affected by her death. She was his mother after all.

Teddy had graduated from Hogwarts just an year ago. He was still young and new to the world and was now going to be the new Lord of Black. Harrietta did not want to burden the young boy with the weight of expectations of the pureblood families. She wanted him to grow up free of such things and had always taken measures to make sure he was not being roped up into fulfilling the expectations of being the only son of their Saviour. She wanted to be there for him when he got his title—teach him the ways of the pureblood world. But...

Atleast he has his uncle Draco to guide him.

She heard a scream distantly.

A woman's. She deducted.

She was wafting closer to it. Like a magnet to a metal.

She felt her body— if she had a body that is— being pushed.

Magic surrounded her, guiding her, sailing her to her destination like an anchor.

The women grunted and screamed louder and louder and then—

A shrill cry rang in the room.

"Wahhhh..."

She felt weird. She felt like crying. She was crying.

"It's a beautiful girl my lady."

She was handed to a dark haired woman. Hair that looked awfully like hers from her past life. The woman held her gently like a valuable jewel she spent too much money on. She was gaunt, pale but beautiful. She had dark green eyes which made the woman look awfully alot like Harrietta before she died.

"Indeed she is." The woman said. Her enchanting green eyes gazed into hers with so much love filled within them. With many unsaid words and promises.

"What will be her name my lady."

The woman handed her back to someone.

"It shall wait until her father arrives."

The woman coughed blood. Harrietta knew the woman would not last longer than a day. It hurt her for reason she couldn't explain, that woman felt closer to her—like—

Her eyes grew heavier before she could think more.

And just like that she was again back to nothing.

Silence for a moment.

And next, She heard distantly, A masculine voice whispering in her ear.

"Isolde, My daughter."
