Summary
It had been years since they saw each other. Velma left first, and then one after another, they followed their own dreams.
But years later, another mystery, in the form of a dead body sitting in the morgue, brings them back together. And while they know how to handle the mystery, handling each other requires an entire skill set they have all ignored since the end of high school.
Guilt-ridden glances and poorly executed reconnection dances between them. But hope does, too. Hope that they can find each other again, amongst the unnerving clues, melting reluctance, and the things that listen from the trees.
