Prologue: I've Been Turned Into A Girl!?
Subaru's POV:
That night, I was in front of a convenience store.
Then suddenly it was morning.
I looked at the road that was supposed to be in front of me, gone. Now it's a road made with cobblestone.
I turned around and saw there was no convenience store, but rather a fountain.
I look again, medieval style building and I look around.
I saw people with animal feature and sometimes a lizard walking upright, then a lizard dragging a cargo instead of a horse.
There's no denying it.
"I've been summoned across the world to another world!" A voice that was too high pitch for my own.
Was that my voice mine?
No way!
Is has to be a joke!
I refuse to be a joke about genderswap meta!
I look at the fountain behind me and look at my reflection.
A girl, no! An elf with that long ears, I could only be an elf! A long soft silver hair! Soft pink lips! Amethyst eyes! She's super cute and sexy at the same time, I mean dang! Look at those curves.
She's... Totally my type! A Waifu! But this is me! That's no fair! I won't be attracted to male! I'm a male in here!
Why am I totally okay with this? No! I'm not okay with this but I don't want to fall into a genre of those genderswap story of people denying it over and over! It will get frustrating for the viewer? Why am I talking like this!?
Anyway, I'm a beautiful elf girl and now in this world? I won't get carried and become a useless side character just for a gag! There must be power that I'm given! Oh... Wait, isn't this my clothes? And my grocery bag?
"What kind of starter set up is this!? Where's my Excalibur! My system! My beautiful girls! Wait there's one but that one is me!"
"Mrm! Ngh!" I groan, and open my bag of chips, I decided to eat first to calm myself down. I don't want to look insane.
Let's think for a second Subaru! Let's think about if I any power, let's hope this work? Maybe not a system but something else could help me.
"My beloved I'm here~" a voice came out of nowhere inside my head, I can see no one is looking at me so it is indeed in my head.
A voice so similar to me, and calling me beloved.
"You have the authority of Envy, I hate that you look like me but I will make sure you will learn to love yourself even if it's in my body."
Envy? Authority? What's that?
"I had a mistake when recalling you back to this world, it's been 400 years and you probably don't know me, my beloved. I'm Satella, and now I'm bestowing you half of my soul to you so I can be always be with you."
Huh? Is that why I look like you!?
"Yes, I'm so so sorry. My beloved, this authority will give you power over time and space but it won't affect people or spirits and you must never tell anyone about this, consider this is something intimate that you and me know, my beloved~"
You keep calling me beloved but I don't know you.
"It's okay, my beloved is still my beloved. This is also a burden removed from me, once this is all over. I hope you can take all of my soul into you, and I hope you will find your new love. I'm sorry, my sin for wanting to consume you all to myself had caused this, I'm sorry this is a way to make amends just for you."
I see... I'm sorry, I hope you will be happy once you and me are together forever even if it's a bit creepy.
"Fuhuhuhu, you always so funny my beloved. This power is only limited by your knowledge and restrictions on human and spirit."
I see I can't hurt anyone that is not a mindless beast with time and space?
Satella? I guess she can't do this talk forever.
Now I got a mystery on myself and what happened 400 years ago, but Satella told me to be happy and love myself!
So I doubt she want me to think and remind myself about the past.
"Excuse me."
A man with fire red hair, with blue eyes looked at me with a calm and nice looks.
"Oh hi!"
I was still sitting near the fountain, from this man attired and how his sword on his back. He's probably a knight, a NPC?
"May I ask something, what is it that you're eating?"
His smile was radiant as the sun but I can sense he's prying on me, maybe he can sense danger from me? But sure!
"This is a chip! Here have some!"
He grab one and take a bite out of it.
"This food is delicious."
"Heh! That's the modern world for ya! Anyway I'm Natsuki Subaru not only I'm clueless but I'm also broke beyond compare! Nice to meet you." I smile at him.
"The name is Reinhard Van Astrea, I came from a blood of swordman." A faint smile crept up to his face.
"Okay Rein! Nice to meet you, I'm sure you want to ask more?"
"Nice to meet you too, yes I indeed want to ask you more. Like why did you call me Rein?"
"Hmm, because you're being nice and all to an ordinary person like me! And Rein is a nickname for you, my friend!"
"Friend... I like the sound of that."
We continue to talk and I made sure to refill the chips without him knowing but he notice so I decided to say this.
"Well this is my power! You're my friend so you're the first person to witness my greatness!"
"I see, Subaru. I'm very glad to be your friend."
"I'll be going now Rein! I still want to know more about this place but it seems I can't read as well."
"Then why don't we go together, my friend."
I felt my cheeks warming up, seriously this guy have max charm or what!? Think straight Subaru! Think straight! I close my eyes.
Then open my eyes.
Oh no he's too hot! I don't mind marrying a guy, I suppose. He seemed quite nice, but I won't stop for him, I still want to have a wife! I'm a former boy after all!
"Okay! Let's go Rein!"
We start walking together, I was at his side all the time. He point out everything that I ask, like Apple is apparently Appa in this world, and there's no horse in this world.
He was being really patient over me, seriously is this guy is just programed to be the nice guy that you can't possibly hate?
We found another elf during our walk, she looks very similar to me and I think I got my second crush ever!
"Emilia-sama, nice to meet you. How are you?"
"I'm good Reinhard, but who's this?"
"I'm Natsuki Subaru, I'm completely clueless and broke beyond compare!"
"You're a silly girl, Subaru." Emilia giggle.
"I'm sorry but may I ask, are you both related? You both look like twin." Reinhard asked.
"No, I don't think so." Emilia answer.
"Yep, totally don't know if I have a person that looks like me!" I said.
After a couple talk, I can understand Emilia is just a sweet, pure, and kind-hearted girl. Me and Rein part ways from her.
"Reinhard if you see any blonde girl that is small, please tell me."
"I will look out for you, then Emilia."
"I will look over it too Emilia!"
"Thank you for helping, you two."
Emilia finally left us, and we continued to walk. I just followed Reinhard apparently he was on break and didn't know what to do so he just went patrolling with me.
It was the end of the day, it was dark and moon had already replaced the sun.
The stars above didn't seem like to be the same with my world. So it is really a different world huh? But I did have a great time today!
What a great day, I met Rein and Emilia. Both of them are saint! So kind and considerate to me even though they don't know anything about me!
I hope nothing bad happens, hey is it me or is it getting colder here?
