Chapter Text
She blinked.
Last thing she remembered was Legs, Sausages and Bubbles faces staring at her. Legs using his magic, trying to keep her alive. She felt it. She felt it all. She also remembered Drifts and Megiis concerned voices in the background when she recalled to the main hall of the academy.
She also remembers her dear Twilight, trying her best to provide her with mana and strength, and stressing out about her dragon owner. She upset and worried so many people. She shouldn't have made a big deal about her crystal being broken..
She remembers the white infirmary colours as clear as day. But what she doesnt remember is how she got here. Her journey getting here. Without Twilight nonetheless!
"We should have left that child to rot the second we saw it" A masked figure spoke. The woman had long, knee length purple hair and wore an outfit resembling a royal. She had a golden tiara on aswell
"I know darling, i know. We should have known the second it came to life. Didn't you see her it? She It was so wrong in many ways!' A man spoke. The man had short purple hair with pink ends, rich purple skin, and a crown, that of a prince. That could've been a King
The yellow skinned Stella beathed silently. She recognised that language. Marsian. The language all living beings on Mars could speak.
She understood every bit of that conversation. She knew the figures. She walked back to her 'room' and thought. "Mother.. Father.." She mouthed.. Those words tasting bitter in her mouth. How long had she not said those before? Its been well over 10 years..
She still yearned for their approval. But she knew. She would never get it. She didnt deserve it. She was wrong, she wasnt purple or pink skinned like the other Stellas were. She wasnt strong or a bounty hunter like the other Stellas. Shes a girl. She was never supposed to be one.. If only she wad a boy, maybe her 'father' would have had a choice to sit on the throne.
But of course. She had to ruin it. She ruined their lives. She couldn't even be a worthy Stella! Weak and Pathetic..
She remembers those blue eyes. Looking at her like she mattered she didn't. "And he had an even stronger daughter" he had said. Those words repeating through her mind the whole day.
"I wanna go back" The yellow Stella whispered. She wanted to hear Legs encouraging words and him rambling about his experiments or a book he found in the library. She wanted to hear Sausage talking on and on about nothing and everything and listening to the noises his copper arm and leg made.
And most importantly, she wanted her. The kind, white haired girl. The first person she had met that was oh so very kind to her. She wanted to hear her ring the bells. She wanted her to hop around like a little lamb. She wanted to let the girl sit in her corner crocheting while she cooked. She just wanted to hear her laugh again..
She was asleep that day. She wasn't there when her crystal broke. She wasn't there when everyone was panicking over the yellow stella. She wasnt there when that dire wolf attacked them. She wasn't there. Maybe it was for the better, but she yearned for the feeling of her hands on hers. Squeezing them and those mesmerizing eyes looking at her like she mattered and wasn't looking at her like she was born wrong or was a mistake.
She wanted to hear her ramble about her shepherdess and anything she did that day. She wanted to go with her to find secrets in the library. She wanted to hear her voice again. She wanted her. But the stars aren't so kind.
The yellow stella couldn't control her body at first. She could only feel and watch as she went through her worst memories during her time on Mars. Those gruelling years, mining underground, being made fun of by the normal stellas. It was awful. She had tried so hard not to remember them during her time at the academy.
Not long after had she found out it was a nightmare, but it all felt so real. When she arrived on earth she accepted she wouldn't go back and was glad to have left Mars as she wasn't welcome there anymore. Now it feels like life didn't want her. Thats fine, she tried to convince herself. But she missed her friends dearly.
Now she is forced to watch events that didn't happen, and won't happen cause shes not retuning to Mars. Its not even possible to go back there unless theres great technology that allows it.
She could hear her parents talking from her 'room'. Talking about her. Like they always did before sending her to the mines. She can't help but whisper,
"Im not a disappointment am i..?"
