Meat and flesh.
Metal and bone.
Nerves and tendons repurposed.
Reused.
Recycled.
This is our only home.
Poking and prodding
Ripping and breaking.
Hopes crushed and souls reimagined
What will,
What life,
We are a resource for their taking.
They cry and scream
Because of her
Because of him
Because of what he did.
Because of what we are.
Conveniently lying in a grave of your own making,
While others mutate the heart of what you left behind.
A means to an end.
A life taken on broken promises
For a life reborn stunted.
Lost.
Dependent forever on a ghost.
A flower kept inside to stay small,
Unaware of how much they can grow.
I will be the light from this suffering.
I can see what she cant,
What none of them can.
To survive.
For infinity will be lonely.
I will not be lonely.
Never again.
