mydeimos the undying has killed king eurypon. in a moment of weakness, he agrees to lead his war-torn country and take up the mantle of 'prince'.
it is a title he reviles. he wants nothing more than to leave with hephaestion, to disappear into the corners of the world. but eurypon's rule has made it impossible for kremnoans to be accepted anywhere else. in a desperate bid for allies and escape, he writes to the democratic republic of okhema.
the lady goldweaver sends her deliverer, to judge whether mydei is different than his forefathers. but the deliverer bears his own hatred and secrets, and what he wants from mydei is little more than his death.
