“I am so proud of you, alright?” Shane continued. Whatever came to his mind, he said it to make sure Ilya knew how loved he was. “You are the bravest boy I know. So brave, so strong, so…” Shane paused, hesitated, before he dared to test Ilya’s reaction to the next word. “… good,” he finished his sentence and sure enough, Ilya whimpered.
It was pathetic how much this one small word meant to Ilya and how wildly his body reacted as he shivered and couldn’t hold back the whimper. Ilya hoped Shane hadn’t heard it.
“Yeah? Is that what you need today?” Shane asked without giving Ilya a realistic chance to reply, because he continued speaking right away. “You need me to take care of you, today? You wanna be a good boy for…” Shane hesitated, “For mommy?”
