   Summary

   When Hermione speaks for Lucius at his trial, Draco has a conversation with her outside the courtroom that opens his eyes. As Eighth Year begins, Hermione is forced to face an oppressive loneliness that has been settling in for years, finding herself confused about where she truly belongs. Meanwhile, there's a darkness lurking in the background that has every intention of casting Hermione in its shadows. When Draco gets involved in an attack against Hermione and he begins to undergo changes he doesn't understand, neither of them have any idea what's going to happen.
