Chapter Text
Ever since it first appeared, the screen began showing a string of tales centered around those chosen to be the main characters of each story.
For over three weeks straight, the screen stayed right there, displaying the adventures of one protagonist after another in turn. At last, everything drew to a close with the final moments of the twelfth episode — the story of Sora and Shiro, and their journey out of that world where everything was decided by games.
Not long after the very last tale ended, words finally appeared on the screen for the first time ever.
[The World of the Silent Witch]
The sky above the Kingdom of Ridill had finally released the suffocating tension that had hung heavy for the past three weeks. The colossal screen floating motionless in the sky—one that had drained the emotions, tears, and reason of every soul watching it—now dimmed, having finished showing the conclusion to the journey of two brilliant siblings named Sora and Shiro, who hailed from a world entirely devoid of magic.
Yet the silence did not last long. New words flickered in sharp silver lettering, taking the breath away from the ten people gathered inside the academy’s secret meeting room:
"Well then, I suppose I should share something interesting!! About everything shown on this screen… it appeared in eight separate worlds, and all of you have been watching the stories of each other’s chosen heroes! Just like when the tale of Yuji Itadori played out—he and his friends were not the only ones watching; people from entirely different worlds were observing alongside them! But if stories from eight distinct worlds, each with their own protagonists, have been broadcast here one after another… that means you have been witnessing one another’s adventures and struggles! You were being watched by complete strangers from other realms! I thought it best to make that clear first before the next broadcast begins with a brand‑new protagonist!! Rest assured though—there will be a one‑hour break before the next showing starts!
“I‑Is that so…”
Monica Everett—the Silent Witch—clutched the hem of her robe until her knuckles turned white. Her face, already pale from weeks of witnessing life‑or‑death battles from other worlds—especially the endless suffering of a young man named Natsuki Subaru and the terrifying curses plaguing Yuji Itadori’s world—lost every last trace of color. Her voice shook violently, nearly swallowed up by fear.
“Everyone… all those people from other worlds… were watching me? Watching me… stammer and stumble over every word? And… every secret behind all my pretense…?” Monica buried her face in her hands, her whole body trembling as she pictured billions of eyes from foreign dimensions seeing every awkward moment—including the times she cried out of fear alone inside her dormitory room.
“Calm yourself, Monica. You are wrinkling your robe terribly,” spoke Nero, Monica’s pet black cat—who was truly a legendary black dragon. He leaped onto the table, flicking his tail in mild annoyance. “Though honestly… this is absolutely wild. So the magic‑wielding swordsman who casts no spells, that slime that can devour anything, the boy bearing a curse, and that lad who dies only to come back to life… they all watched what you have done? Ha! I certainly hope they were impressed by your wordless magic—even if your timid nature must have left them shaking their heads!”
“Nero! Do not make Monica‑san even more anxious!” Lana Collette leaned forward, gently patting Monica’s shoulder to soothe her. Her own eyes remained wide with shock. “But wait a moment… this means it is not just mages or people in our own world who know our secrets. Great figures from realms beyond—worlds filled with wonders like Lord Rimuru or Lord Rudeus and their incredible magic… they also saw everything we went through here at Minerva Academy. It… it is almost too hard to believe.”
“This goes far beyond pride, Miss Collette,” said Louis Miller, the Barrier Magician. He tapped his fingers against the table in a steady, heavy rhythm, his gaze fixed on the screen now resting in its one‑hour pause. “Think about what this means. We have just seen eight entirely different civilizations. From worlds without magic that rely purely on wit and strategy—like where Ayanokōji Kiyotaka or Sora and Shiro come from—to worlds ruled by curses or instant regeneration. The fact that outsiders now know every detail of the Seven Sages’ defenses and the kingdom’s secrets… would be a catastrophic security risk if travel between worlds were possible.”
“You are quite right, Master Miller—yet I believe we need not fear invasion anytime soon,” said Felix Ark Ridill, the ever‑calm Second Prince, folding his arms across his chest. A sharp glint of deep thought shone in his eyes. “The screen stated clearly that we exist in separate worlds. And from what we have seen, the very laws of nature differ from place to place. What truly catches my interest instead… is how they reacted when they learned our shy, quiet Monica—who speaks not a single word while casting—defeated legendary dragons and unraveled grand conspiracies all in silence? That is something to be proud of, is it not?”
“Prince Felix! How can you be so relaxed about this?!” Cyril Ashley, the strict Vice‑President of the Student Council, shot up from his seat, his face tight with worry. He recalled every detail shown over these past weeks all too clearly. “We saw monsters capable of wiping nations off the map instantly in that slime’s world! We saw mages who can bend space and time to their will! And now we know every one of them… every last one… knows exactly where our academy’s weaknesses lie! If their memories are as sharp as ours—and this screen ensures we remember every detail perfectly—then every battle tactic we rely on has been completely laid bare before outsiders!”
“You are far too tense as usual, Cyril,” sighed Claudia Ashley, his graceful older sister, fanning herself gently. “Remember what we learned of Will Serfort’s journey in the land of Wistoria. They have magic towers and strict rules much like ours—yet they separate mages and sword‑fighters far more harshly than we do. If they watched us, perhaps they learned something new about how Monica’s silent magic shatters the limits of conventional spell‑casting they once thought absolute.”
“Exactly right, Sister Claudia!” Isabelle Norton chimed in enthusiastically, her eyes sparkling bright. “Do you recall what we saw in No Game No Life? Lord Sora and Lady Shiro won entire kingdoms using nothing but games and sharp minds! After watching all these stories for three weeks straight… I realized true strength is not always about how powerful your magic is—it lies in how well you understand what others are thinking. Lady Monica… you have absolutely no reason to feel ashamed! Among all those amazing heroes from afar… yours was the first story that gave them something to look up to!”
“Even so… it still feels…” Bridget Graham—the usually cold Ice Queen—turned her head away with a soft huff, though faint pinkness touched her cheeks from embarrassment. “Knowing that our tears, our failures, and… every bit of drama that unfolds here at the academy… was witnessed by strangers… it leaves one feeling quite uneasy. Especially that rough‑spoken young man named Rudeus from Mushoku Tensei. I truly hope he did not catch sight of anything strange or embarrassing from our world."
“Ah… Lord Rudeus certainly does have… unique interests—but the magic he mastered toward the end was truly magnificent, was it not?” Neil Clay Maywoo, the always‑cheerful Student Council Secretary, spoke softly, trying to ease the heavy mood with a warm smile. “Still, the ones who moved me most were definitely Lord Yuji Itadori and Lord Natsuki Subaru. The burdens they carried were unimaginably heavy. Knowing they might be resting now, perhaps thinking back on us too… it feels almost as though we share a quiet bond with stars shining in distant skies.”
Monica slowly lifted her head, glancing first toward Neil, then turning her gaze toward Felix and Louis. Her mind raced as she replayed everything she had witnessed—experiences that had completely changed how she saw the world. She remembered Subaru dying again and again just to save those he loved; Will Serfort rising from rock bottom to keep a promise he had made; and Ayanokōji Kiyotaka moving silently through shadows, calculating every outcome with chilling calm.
“I‑I…” Monica swallowed hard, struggling to control her stammer. “I was thinking… about Lord Subaru. In his world of Re:Zero… he suffered so terribly, and… no one there ever remembered or understood all the times he died trying to help them. But… because this same screen appeared in all eight worlds… that means… now everyone from the seven other realms… knows exactly what he sacrificed in secret. They know… he was never weak at all…”
“Hmm? You noticed that little detail, did you, Monica?” Nero grinned, showing tiny sharp fangs. “You are quite right. That lad with the hollow eyes always carried every bit of pain and loss alone—cursed to bear it all by himself. But thanks to these broadcasts… that silver‑haired witch from his world, along with everyone watching from every corner of existence… finally understands just how much he gave up for them. Not bad reasoning—for a quiet little mage who prefers staying entirely out of sight.”
“Indeed,” Louis Miller nodded slowly, his expression softening just a little. “Everything we have learned is both a powerful weapon and a precious gift. We saw how unchecked pride brought ruin in Jujutsu Kaisen, and how absolute trust and partnership made impossible victories possible—just as Sora and Shiro proved time and again. The fact this screen grants us a full hour to rest and reflect… suggests it intends for every soul across all eight worlds to absorb what they have learned… before introducing us to yet another new protagonist.”
Felix smiled knowingly, his gaze sweeping across every face gathered around him. “Then let us make good use of this one hour we have been given. We must never forget even the smallest lesson we have gained from observing those seven other worlds. Their stories may have finished playing out before our eyes… yet the connections we have forged, and the knowledge we have gained… are only just beginning.”
“Still… thinking back on it all…” Cyril Ashley broke the quiet, his fingers gripping the edge of his Student Council robes tightly. His usual stern expression gave way to a swirl of conflicting emotions. “When Monica‑san’s journey played out… everyone from other realms saw how she first slipped into this academy. They saw how I… how I treated her harshly and doubted her right from the start. I‑It’s utterly humiliating! The Vice‑President of Ridill’s Student Council acting so short‑sighted—right before heroes from countless other dimensions!”
“Come now, Cyril. Do not be so hard on yourself,” Claudia Ashley said gently, resting her hand reassuringly upon her younger brother’s shoulder. “They also saw how fiercely you stood by her side once you learned the truth. Besides… compared to the betrayals and tangled schemes found in Ayanokōji Kiyotaka’s world of Classroom of the Elite, our misunderstandings here at Minerva Academy seem little more than childish squabbles.”
“You speak rightly, Sister,” Cyril murmured, his cheeks flushing faintly as he recalled the cold, calculated tactics Ayanokōji had displayed during the island examinations—or how Ryūen had manipulated his class from deep within the shadows. “That world… holds no magic at all, yet their skill at psychological manipulation is truly terrifying. Knowing minds like Ayanokōji or Sakayanagi Arisu were observing every move our council makes… it feels as though our every plan has been laid bare before masters of strategy.”
“Fufu… I rather think that is what makes it so fascinating, Vice‑President,” Lana Collette chuckled softly, doing her best to ease his tension. “Do you remember how Lord Rimuru Tempest built the Jura Tempest Federation? He began with nothing more than a humble goblin village, and grew it into a nation of monsters recognized by the whole world! Compared to that, our kingdom’s ways of diplomacy still feel so stiff and rigid. I am certain Lord Rimuru—or even the wise Lady Shuna—would smile seeing how we organize our academy festivals and gatherings.”
“B‑But… Lady Lana…” Monica Everett spoke up bravely, though her head remained bowed low, her hat nearly falling forward to cover her eyes entirely. “Lord Rimuru… he is so incredibly powerful. He commands followers like Lord Diablo or Lord Benimaru—beings strong enough to flatten the entire Kingdom of Ridill in the blink of an eye. W‑When they watched me fight against that dragon… they must have thought my magic… painfully slow, and hardly impressive at all…”
“Hey now, Monica—stop belittling yourself like that!” Nero hopped straight from the table onto the top of her head, prodding playfully yet firmly against her hat. “That slime can devour anything with his Beelzebuth, sure—but he still needs his guiding intelligence—Raphael, or Ciel—to analyze and break down magic for him! You? You calculate complex magical formulas entirely within your own mind, in mere fractions of a second… and all without any divine aid whatsoever! You are a monster in your own right—make no mistake about it!”
“Nero‑san speaks absolute truth, Monica‑sama!” Isabelle Norton exclaimed, clenching her fists earnestly before her chest, eyes shining bright with conviction. “Even back in the land of Wistoria, Lord Will Serfort struggled with every ounce of his strength simply because he could not use magic—while the mages of the Magia Tower grew arrogant behind their long, loud chants. If Lord Will could see you weave powerful spells without uttering a single sound… I know he would hold you in the highest regard! You prove that a mage need never be bound by rigid rules or prideful ways!”
Bridget Graham—who had stood with arms crossed and a grim expression all this time—finally let out a long, heavy sigh. “What is done… is done. That screen laid everything bare. Including moments when I… let pride over my lineage cloud my judgment. Knowing that beings from across existence—great mages like Lady Elfaria from Wistoria, or Lord Julius from Re:Zero—witnessed my arrogance… it truly tests one’s pride.” She turned her face away, cheeks flushed pink. “Yet… seeing how Lady Emilia endured and remained steadfast despite prejudice against her appearance… I realize now how petty and childish my own stubbornness truly was.”
Louis Miller looked toward Bridget, a glint of quiet approval visible behind his spectacles. “That is a fine realization indeed, Miss Graham. These past three weeks have been far from wasted if we can learn such lessons from worlds beyond our own. Observing how curses in Jujutsu Kaisen are born from humanity’s darkest emotions… it has given me new perspective on how to refine barrier magic itself. The truth is, human emotion holds immense power—one our own world has yet to fully understand or harness.”
“Ah, exactly so, Master Miller!” Neil Clay Maywoo agreed warmly with his usual gentle smile. “Lord Gojo Satoru’s battle—unleashing his Unlimited Void—defied all logic and reason. Yet what touched me most deeply was the bond shared between Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara. Even in a world drowning in despair, they stood strong for one another. I hope that after watching our story unfold… they will know that even a quiet, solitary mage like Monica‑san could find such precious friends here too.”
“Rest assured—they already know, Neil,” Felix Ark Ridill replied calmly, his charismatic gaze sweeping across every soul gathered there. “That screen told us plainly: we have all borne witness to each other’s struggles. Which means… just as we wept seeing Natsuki Subaru endure death after death, or cheered when Sora and Shiro outwitted the Warbeast clans… they felt every bit the same tension and concern when Monica fought to shield me from hired assassins.”
Felix then turned his gaze toward Monica—still trembling, yet now listening intently with renewed focus. “Monica… you need never feel exposed or ashamed. You are the Silent Witch, one of the Seven Sages sworn to protect this kingdom. That your story was shown first was no accident. It stands as proof that true heroism rarely belongs to those born bold or mighty… but rather to those willing to push past their own fears, to stand and fight for the sake of others.”
Monica slowly lifted her head, meeting Felix’s warm, steady eyes—then looked out toward Lana, Cyril, and every other companion around her, each nodding in earnest agreement. For the first time in these long three weeks, the tight weight in her chest—the fear of her secrets being laid bare—began to melt away, replaced by a strange yet comforting warmth.
“Y‑Yes…” She gripped the fabric of her robe once more—not from fear this time, but with newly kindled resolve. Her voice still trembled with a stutter, yet carried far greater strength and certainty. “E‑Even though I… I am still so very afraid… if Lord Subaru, Lord Will, and all the rest never gave up in worlds far more dangerous than ours… then I… I must not bring shame upon this world either. I… I will hold fast to every lesson they taught us… and every bit of courage they showed…”
“Excellent! That is exactly the spirit I expect from my mage!” Nero huffed proudly, perched triumphantly atop her head.
[The World of Wistoria]
The sky above the Mercedes Magia Tower, usually shimmering with the radiant glow of dawn‑woven magic, now lay quiet and still as those mysterious silver words faded away. The revelation—that they were far from alone, that every struggle they had endured had been witnessed by seven other worlds, just as they themselves had marveled at the journeys of heroes from far‑off dimensions—left a heavy, breathless silence hanging within the high council chamber of the Magia Vander.
Off in one corner of the room stood Will Serfort, clad in his slightly worn academy uniform, fingers wrapped tight around the hilt of his blunted practice sword. His heart thundered in his chest. For three long weeks he had witnessed things that defied every limit of what he had once believed possible. He had seen Monica Everett’s quiet mastery of instant, soundless magic; the boundless power of the Great Monster Lord Rimuru Tempest; and the terrifying, unyielding resolve carried by Yuji Itadori and Natsuki Subaru. And now… truth struck home with full force: they had all been watching him too.
“W‑Will…” Collette Loire stepped closer, her cheeks flushed bright red in a whirlwind of panic and embarrassment. She nervously twisted the hem of her green robe between trembling fingers. “This… this cannot be real… can it? I mean—that screen… it said every other world was watching us?! That means… they saw me throw my arms around you? They heard me shouting my heart out cheering you on inside the arena?! And… they know every hidden secret locked away within this tower?!”
“Easy now, Collette,” Will offered what he hoped was a steady smile, though his own voice carried a faint tremor. He adjusted his glasses, which had slipped slightly down the bridge of his nose. “Truth be told… I hardly know what to say myself. To think that extraordinary souls like Lord Rudeus, or brilliant minds like Lord Sora and Lady Shiro… stood watching how I fight… it feels far too strange to be true. I am nothing more than a magic‑less boy who clawed his way up from the very bottom of the Tower.”
“Hmph! Yet they also saw how one without a drop of magic to his name managed to shatter boundaries every gifted mage here accepted as absolute fact!”
Sion Ulster strode forward, arms folded firmly across his chest, wearing a haughty expression he clearly forced into place to hide his own deep embarrassment. He turned his gaze deliberately away from Will—though the tips of his ears burned bright red. “Curse it all… it means they watched me lose to you during the mock examinations! And how I… how I had no choice but to fight alongside you deep within the dungeon! Knowing beings like Lord Gojo Satoru, or cold‑hearted strategists like Ayanokōji… witnessed every foolish moment I made… it brings shame upon the entire Ulster name!”
“You worry far too much over trivial things, Sion,” interjected Julius Reinberd, running his fingers neatly through his flowing blue hair. Though his tone remained calm and composed, sharp eyes betrayed a flicker of unease beneath. “What truly deserves our concern is how observers from other realms judge my own ice magic—not after seeing the absolute power wielded by Lord Rimuru Tempest, or the creation‑magic mastered by Lord Rudeus Greyrat. Next to storms capable of freezing whole continents solid… my Ars Schild spells might well look like nothing more than child’s play in their eyes.”
“Yet you fought with grace and honor every step we took below ground,” Lihanna Owenzaus spoke firmly, her voice ringing clear and true like that of the noble knight she was. She stood tall and straight, gazing upward toward the sky through the tower’s great arched windows. “To me… the fact that eyes from beyond our world have fallen upon us is both a great honor and a test laid before us. We have seen how souls in Jujutsu Kaisen face utter despair, willing to give their very lives for others; we have watched Lord Natsuki Subaru rise again and again from death itself, simply to save those he holds dear. If they watched us… then surely they saw one truth above all: here in the land of Wistoria… the will to reach for the heavens never fades—no matter how thick the clouds that block the way.”
“Y‑et… seeing worlds where magic does not exist at all… like the realm of Sora and Shiro…” murmured Wignall Lindor, thoughtfully stroking his chin with uncertain fingers. “They defeated a god itself… using nothing but wit and games of pure mind. Back home, our elven kind has always prided itself on the supreme grandeur of natural‑born magic. Yet watching how Blank bent the very rules of reality to their will… I realized that sharp intellect alone—without even a spark of magic—is perhaps the deadliest weapon of all. I wager they laughed well enough seeing how clumsy and rigid I was when trapped deep within those underground chambers.”
High upon the raised dais, seated among the highest ranking mages of the Magia Tower, Elfaria Albis Serfort—the Ice Vander herself—sat with gaze fixed unwaveringly upon Will. The soft, gentle smile that usually graced her lovely features held new depth now, carrying within it a quiet, aching longing.
“Will…” she whispered softly, her melodic voice barely rising above the murmur of voices filling the hall. “They saw it all. They heard the promise we made to one another when we were small children. They watched you swing your blade again and again… climbing higher and higher up this great tower… just so you might one day stand before me. I care not if every soul across all eight worlds laughs at us… for now at last… they all know: my knight from below is the most stubborn, most determined soul of them all.”
“Oi, oi—Elfaria! Don’t go drifting off into your own little dream world right now!” boomed Zeo Thorzeus Reinbolt—the Lightning Vander—loud enough to break right through her reverie. Tiny sparks of lightning crackled playfully through his wild red hair, sparked by his boundless, overflowing excitement. “This is magnificent! Eight whole separate worlds! That means that mighty slime lord, that cursed boy Yuji, and that white‑haired monster Gojo Satoru… they all stood watching me fight! Hahaha! I hope they were properly awed seeing my lightning strike down from the sky! Hey there, Sword‑Boy! Bet they were shocked right out of their wits seeing how you borrowed my magic power to cleave right through that dungeon beast, eh?!”
“T‑hat combined spell was truly something extraordinary, Lord Zeo,” acknowledged Iris Churchill—the academy’s stern overseer—clutching her ledger tightly against her chest. Her eyes darted restlessly behind her spectacles. “Yet speaking strictly by regulation… the realization that every battle tactic we employ, every layout of our dungeon levels, and every closely guarded secret of the Tower’s inner factions… has been perfectly preserved within the memory of beings from beyond our reality… places us in a most critical situation indeed. We still know not whether this one‑hour pause signals approaching danger… or some strange new opportunity.”
“Set your mind at ease, Iris. That screen showed no sign of hostile intent,” spoke Workner Norgram—the teacher who had kept a close watch over Will’s journey from the start—stepping forward and letting out a long breath of relief. “Besides… seeing how Monica Everett from the Silent Witch world struggled so bravely to overcome her own fears and stammer… I feel our two worlds share much in common: the fight to grow beyond oneself. Will… you have proven before all eight worlds alike… that the true heart behind Wand and Sword was never defined by rank or magic alone… but by the courage to rise above every limit placed upon you.”
Edward Serfence—the notoriously strict professor who had always been hardest on Will—stood apart within the shadows of the far wall, arms folded tight. His expression remained grim, warring with thoughts he kept hidden deep within. “Hmph. ‘Rising beyond limits,’ you say? Outsiders have witnessed firsthand how this academy welcomed and advanced a student incapable of casting even the most basic cantrip. It brings shame upon our long history of magical study. Yet…” He cast a sharp, piercing glance straight toward Will. “…neither can I deny: when that boy struck down Devende itself… sword wrapped in woven magic… even mages from realms far beyond ours would think twice before daring to dismiss what they call ‘strength without magic’.”
Will felt every eye in the room settle firmly upon him—from dear friends and fellow students, to stern professors, all the way up to the Magia Vander who stood as the absolute peak of power within their world. Memories flooded back: Subaru’s endless suffering, Ayanokōji’s razor‑sharp mind, Rimuru’s unshakeable resolve… each one reinforcing the quiet determination that had wavered within him these past weeks.
“Thank you… Professor Edward… Lord Zeo…” Will bowed respectfully, then straightened tall and proud, directing his gaze upward toward the very ceiling where the great screen still lingered unseen. “If it truly is true… that every soul from worlds beyond has watched us… then I must not stop here. I swear it—before every last one of them… and before Elfi… this sword shall one day truly reach the very topmost spire of this tower.”
Shortly after Will Serfort finished speaking, the atmosphere within the Mercedes Magia Tower’s assembly hall grew more charged as the one‑hour pause granted by the mysterious screen slowly ticked onward.
“You all assume far too much regarding what those from beyond our world must be thinking,” interjected Elisa Nosferatu—the elegant yet frigid Scythe Vander. Slender fingers idly twisted the ends of her snow‑white hair. “To beings such as Lord Guy Crimson from the slime’s realm, or ancient sorcerers like those seen in Lord Rudeus’s world, the sharp divide between magic and physical strength here must seem incredibly rigid. The absolute way we separate Wand from Sword is surely the first thing they would notice.”
“I find your reasoning sound, Lady Elisa,” agreed Sarissa Alfeld—the knight tasked with maintaining order within the tower—stepping forward, her armor clinking softly with every movement. “In Jujutsu Kaisen, they weave cursed energy directly into their very bodies and weapons to fight up close. When they watched Will Serfort battle by channeling magic lent by others into his blade… they would instantly recognize it as the most efficient form of merging different strengths together.”
“Hmph—efficient or not, that boy still caused me no end of trouble deep inside those dungeon levels,” rumbled Cariott Incindia Wiseman—the mighty Fire Vander—crossing broad arms firmly over his chest. Tiny flames danced and flickered along his shoulders, stirred by rising emotion. “Still… there is one thing I must admit. Watching the journey of that young man Rudeus Greyrat… his command of fire magic from such great distances was impressive indeed—especially for one never blessed by our Tower’s teachings. And if observers from worlds with such high standards witnessed our struggles against dungeon invaders… we simply cannot afford to appear weak!”
“Lord Cariott speaks the truth!” Collette Loire chimed in again, her bright eyes shining as she gazed at Will with unshakable pride. “Will has never once looked weak! Even when facing colossal monsters far below ground, he always steps forward first to shield us all! I am certain that even Lord Yuji Itadori—possessed of such immense physical might—would nod in respect seeing how Will leaps and strikes down every foe in his path!”
“Quiet down over there, Loire—you speak far too loudly,” Sion Ulster grumbled, turning his face away while his cheeks flushed red, doing his best to hide his stubborn pride. “Though… looking at it through the kind of sharp logic found in Classroom of the Elite… Will’s position here at the academy bears some likeness to Ayanokōji Kiyotaka hiding his true abilities within Class D. The difference is—Will never concealed his strength on purpose; it is our Tower’s system that remains too blind to judge worth by anything other than magical credit counts.”
“Oh? A surprisingly fair assessment coming from an Ulster,” Julius Reinberd replied with a faint smile, watching Sion with teasing amusement. “Yet you are right, Sion. Three weeks spent observing other worlds has opened our eyes to the glaring flaws in how we measure value. If we cling stubbornly to old ways of thinking, we shall fall far behind the clever adaptability shown by heroes from beyond.”
“Exactly so,” Lihanna Owenzaus nodded firmly, her expression set with the resolve of a future leader. “Recall how Sora and Shiro from No Game No Life turned every tiny loophole within rules into a chance to seize victory. They taught us that limitation is never truly the end. Will… you embody that very truth right here in our world. You wield your sword to make up for what you lack in magic—just as Blank used brilliant intellect to overcome humanity’s lack of innate supernatural power.”
Wignall Lindor—silent until now—slowly lifted his head and looked straight toward Will. “I… I offer my apologies if my kin among the Elven faction ever treated you with disdain, Serfort. Seeing how the Silent Witch’s world revealed that true magic lies in precise calculation and formula… and watching you work out every angle and strike of your blade… I realized you possess genius in your own unique way. Those from other worlds surely recognized that truth long before we did.”
Will stood humbled by the earnest words pouring forth from friends and masters alike. He glanced down at his own hands—calloused rough and thick from years spent practicing swordplay endlessly. Memories rose warmly within him: Natsuki Subaru dragging himself through pools of blood just to save others; Rimuru Tempest welcoming every race and kind without prejudice or favor.
“Everyone…” Will bowed his head slightly, hiding a grateful smile behind the rim of his glasses before lifting his gaze once more, eyes shining clear and bright. “I… I feel truly blessed. If souls from distant worlds truly watched us fight… then I want them to see something more: a realm no longer divided between mage and warrior. I want them to know that Wand and Sword can stand together—and create wonders equal to any found in their own lands.”
High upon her throne of ice, Elfaria Albis Serfort had listened intently all the while. She closed her eyes for a heartbeat, cherishing every word spoken by the young man she held dear. When she opened them again, her gaze burned with uncontainable pride.
“Do you hear that, all Vander?” Elfaria’s voice rang out—absolute, graceful, and commanding—restoring perfect stillness and order throughout the hall. “Our knight has spoken. This hour of rest draws swiftly toward its close. Let us ready ourselves for whatever revelation the sky‑screen shows us next. We are a world that reaches ever upward—and we shall prove to the seven others beyond… that we are worthy of their attention.”
[The World of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime]
The great assembly hall within Rimuru, capital city of the Jura Tempest Federation, hummed with powerful yet perfectly controlled magical energy. Three weeks of broadcasts showing adventures spanning countless dimensions had at last come to an end—closing with those same mysterious silver words that laid bare one staggering truth: eight distinct worlds had been watching one another all along. To realize that every secret—tactical plans, stages of evolution, even quiet private moments—had been witnessed in full by civilizations far beyond their own sparked a wave of reaction across Tempest’s highest ranks.
Seated upon his throne, Rimuru Tempest—appearing as a young man with hair of silvery‑blue—sank back with an air of utter exhaustion, before simply shifting back into his soft, bouncy blue slime form just to feel a little more at ease.
“Aaaah… this is absolutely humiliating!” Rimuru rolled helplessly back and forth across his seat, sending waves of sheer panic rippling outward. “Hey, Ciel! You claimed that screen posed no danger at all—yet how could you fail to detect we were being broadcast live to seven entire other worlds?! They saw everything: me waking up reborn as a slime, me panicking my way through fighting the Orc Disaster… even every silly, foolish thing I did while visiting that academy in Ingrassia!”
< Notice. > The voice rang out—mechanical in tone, yet holding a quiet warmth all its own—speaking directly within Rimuru’s mind: the voice of his trusted advisor, the Wisdom King, Ciel. “The barrier structure projecting the display draws upon high‑level dimensional authority, far exceeding standard manipulation of space‑time. However—based on full analysis of the seven journeys we have observed—information revealed regarding the Jura Tempest Federation poses no threat to our strategic standing. Your combat potential remains superior to that found within the vast majority of those civilizations.”
“That hardly makes it better! Knowing cold, calculating minds like Ayanokōji Kiyotaka… or brilliant yet socially distant geniuses like Sora and Shiro… were watching exactly how I built this nation… feels as though I’m being graded by master strategists straight out of legend!” Rimuru sighed—even while shaped as a slime.
“Hahaha! Whatever have you got to worry over, Rimuru?!” boomed Veldora Tempest, the Storm Dragon, his laughter shaking the very ceiling above them. He stood tall, hands planted firmly upon his hips, dark robes swirling dramatically around him. “They all witnessed my boundless glory the moment you freed me from that Eternal Prison! Especially after seeing magic‑less realms ruled by minds like that Blank pair… they must tremble just knowing a true dragon such as I exist! Am I not right, Rimuru? Ha!”
“Lord Veldora… please lower your voice. You disturb Lord Rimuru’s thoughts,” interjected Shuna, her smile soft and gentle—yet carrying such weight of quiet authority that Veldora instantly shrank back and quietly returned to reading his comic books. She then turned her gaze toward Rimuru, eyes shining bright with deepest respect. “Lord Rimuru… you need never feel ashamed. Every soul watching from beyond has seen clearly how noble and fair your rule over us truly is. Compared to the cruel discrimination endured by Lord Natsuki Subaru… or rigid caste systems that oppress the weak in Will Serfort’s realm… Tempest is nothing less than a paradise—one you built for us all with nothing but kindness and care.”
“Exactly so, Lady Shuna!” Shion added eagerly, gripping the massive hilt of her great sword Gorikumaru so tightly her knuckles stood out sharp and pale. “Should any fool from beyond—like that lecherous sorcerer from Lord Rudeus’s world—dare look down upon you after witnessing all you have done… I, Shion, shall strike them down instantly and cut them into a thousand tiny pieces! Lord Rimuru stands at the very heart of all creation itself!”
“Easy now, Shion—you praise me far too highly,” sighed Benimaru, stepping forward with one hand resting steadily upon the hilt of his katana. As Supreme Commander, his gaze held razor‑sharp focus—honed deeply while studying warfare tactics shown in stories from other worlds. “Still… I must admit: battle arts seen in Jujutsu Kaisen, where one expands an absolute domain all their own… share striking similarities to our highest‑grade barrier magic. Now that they have witnessed how easily we crushed the invading armies of Falmuth… it serves as a clear warning: let no one from beyond ever dare provoke Tempest lightly.”
“Kufufufu… truly a sight to stir the very soul,” purred Diablo—stepping silently forth from deep shadow, bowing low at a perfect ninety‑degree angle before Rimuru with that signature, devilish smile of his. His crimson eyes gleamed bright with elegant yet terrifying delight. “Countless beings across eight separate dimensions… all compelled to behold the absolute perfection of Lord Rimuru’s creation. When your journey played out third in sequence… I could sense every realm beyond trembling in pure awe. Especially that stammering young mage, Monica Everett… she must realize now just how infinitely vast the gap remains—between her humble wordless spells… and the absolute authority wielded by you, my master.”
“Diablo… please—don’t start this all over again…” Rimuru protested weakly.
“From an intelligence‑gathering perspective… this situation is quite unique,” Souei reported abruptly—appearing out of nowhere, kneeling faithfully beside the throne. “I have confirmed that every citizen within Tempest retains flawless memory regarding all seven worlds we observed. We now hold complete data: from the psychological patterns of Ayanokōji Kiyotaka… right down to the absolute limits of Yuji Itadori’s regenerative ability. Should they ever view us as enemies… we have already secured total advantage through knowledge alone.”
“Wow! And Yuji‑kun’s fighting style was just so cool! Especially that Black Flash strike—boom! Boom!” Gobta shouted excitedly, throwing wild punches through the air with a delightfully goofy expression. “But hey… I bet he’s pretty jealous seeing how perfectly I can fight alongside Ranga, right? Hehe!”
“Do not grow arrogant, Gobta,” Hakurou warned—tapping the boy smartly upon the head with the wooden hilt of his practice sword until the goblin yelped in pain. “You would do far better learning from the determination shown by Will Serfort. That youth holds no magic power at all… yet every stroke of his blade is forged through thousands upon thousands of hours spent training in earnest. You—with every advantage laid before you—too often grow lazy and complacent.”
“Ouch… ouch… mercy, great Master Hakurou!” Gobta whined, rubbing the fresh bump forming atop his head.
“Gwahahaha! Fear not—all is well!” Gabil announced, striking his usual dramatic pose while flicking his great draconic wings wide. “Those watching from afar surely saw exactly how magnificent my Wyvern Riders fought while serving Lord Rimuru! The glorious name of Gabil now echoes across every corner of all eight dimensions!”
Over in the far corner of the hall, three other Demon Lords gathered nearby—each offering their own distinct reaction.
“Hey there, Rimuru! Everything we watched was absolutely amazing!” Milim Nava cried out, bounding straight toward him and squeezing his slime‑form tight within her embrace—until he was nearly flattened completely. “That white‑haired fellow Gojo Satoru… he looked so strong! I’d love nothing more than to fight him someday! But even so… your journey remains the greatest of them all—by far!”
“Ugh—Milim… let go… I’m going to lose my shape entirely!” Rimuru struggled helplessly.
“Goodness gracious—this goes far beyond anything I imagined!” Ramiris fluttered in circles high above Rimuru’s head, scattering sparkling fairy dust everywhere she went. “They’ve all seen our great Labyrinth! What if clever minds from No Game No Life show up and try to out‑think every trap I’ve laid out just playing games?! I absolutely must strengthen our security systems right away!”
“Calm yourself, Ramiris,” said Guy Crimson—the oldest and most formidable Demon Lord of all—leaning comfortably back within his chair with legs crossed, a lazy yet deadly smile playing upon his handsome features. “None shall cross between worlds easily… not without consent from myself or Rimuru first. Though I will admit… watching the endless despair endured by Natsuki Subaru in Re:Zero… offers quite a unique sort of entertainment for beings such as us, destined to live forever. That power of his—Return by Death… were it to exist here… it would surely rank equal to an Ultimate Authority skill.”
Rimuru shifted once more back into his human form—gazing out at every loyal follower and powerful Demon Lord gathered before him. His earlier unease slowly faded away… replaced instead by a deep, warm sense of pride. These past three weeks had gifted them all with an outlook more precious than any treasure.
“Very well then—everyone listen closely,” Rimuru began, clearing his throat and standing tall with renewed seriousness. “That screen granted us exactly one hour’s rest before introducing the next protagonist. We have learned the strengths and weaknesses belonging to seven other worlds… just as they have come to know ours. Never forget what we have witnessed here. Remain ever watchful… uphold the honor and glory of Tempest… and let us see what further wonders this great screen in the sky has yet to reveal!”
The magical energy filling the great hall gradually grew calm and steady following Rimuru’s address.
“Kufufufu… when you truly consider it, the fact that your tale appeared third—right after Monica Everett and Will Serfort—follows a most logical progression,” Diablo murmured, stepping closer, gloved fingers lacing together before his chest. “It is almost as if the screen itself showed an ascending scale: first a human mage hiding deep within her own fears; then a boy climbing upward from the very bottom of a towering spire; and finally… the absolute embodiment of glory—you, Lord Rimuru—founding a perfect homeland where every kindred race may thrive in peace.”
“Easy now, Diablo—you always do tend to jump to such grand conclusions,” Rimuru replied, waving a hand modestly while his human cheeks flushed faintly pink—accustomed as he was to such relentless praise. “Still… thinking back… the worlds shown after mine belonged to Yuji Itadori and Natsuki Subaru. Compared to my own realm—where everything moved forward so smoothly thanks to all of you—theirs were steeped deep in unrelenting tragedy.”
“Rimuru speaks truly,” Benimaru nodded slowly, his expression turning grave. “Witnessing Natsuki Subaru’s journey across Re:Zero taught me just how fragile life becomes without absolute power to shield those you hold dear. That young man… he died time and again, enduring despair enough to break any spirit—and yet he kept walking forward. Knowing such a steadfast soul now watches over us… I believe we owe his world the deepest respect imaginable.”
“Exactly so, Brother!” Shuna agreed softly, hands clasped gently before her breast, eyes shining with compassion. “Lord Natsuki Subaru’s devotion to Lady Emilia is pure and unwavering. And because our memories remain perfectly preserved after these three weeks… I have come to see it clearly: such unyielding heart—even without instant magic or monstrous gifts like ours—is the truest magic of all. I wonder… what did he think seeing Lord Rimuru restore every one of us after the tragedy at Falmuth? Surely he felt a pang of envy… yet also relief knowing happy endings do exist somewhere beyond his suffering.”
“Hmph! No matter how hard that hollow‑eyed lad struggles, he still lacks my natural flair for battle!” Veldora grumbled, slamming his manga volume down upon the table and planting one hand firmly upon his hip. “That said—those mind‑games Sora and Shiro played near the end… truly caught my interest! How they seized the throne of Elchea… reminded me of brilliant strategies I’ve read right there within your Holy Scriptures—er, comic books, Rimuru! I wager that Blank pair is busy analyzing every move we make right this very moment!”
< Notice. > Ciel’s voice rang out suddenly, echoing clearly within Rimuru’s awareness. “Probability of subjects ‘Sora’ and ‘Shiro’—from the world No Game No Life—decoding Tempest’s magical energy circulation patterns solely from visual observation: zero point zero zero four percent. However… likelihood they deduce your behavioral habits and emotional weak points, Master: eighty‑seven point six percent. Caution advised—should dimensional contact ever occur.”
“Uwaah! That’s terrifying! They can read my true character just by watching me?!” Rimuru cried out inwardly, panic rising fast.
“Lord Rimuru… you need not trouble yourself over such trivial things,” Shion stepped forward confidently, striking her broad chest with a heavy thump—enough to briefly distract Rimuru entirely. “For all their cleverness at games… before Lord Rimuru’s absolute power—and my cooking prepared with boundless love—every scheme they weave crumbles instantly! Even if Lord Gojo Satoru from Jujutsu Kaisen arrived wielding his Infinity… he would be utterly helpless against the flavor of my culinary masterpieces!”
“A‑About your cooking… please, Shion—do not ever present it to outsiders… it could spark an all‑out dimensional war through nothing but misunderstanding…” Rimuru broke into a cold sweat, recalling vividly just how terrifying her dishes had been before she gained the Master Chef skill.
“Hahaha! Shion‑dono always brings such spirited energy,” Hakurou chuckled softly, stroking his long white beard thoughtfully. “Yet from what we learned of Rudeus Greyrat in Mushoku Tensei… that youth taught us the true meaning of a second chance. He began life anew from nothing after wasting his first existence—studied hard, grew strong, and stood guard over his beloved family. When his world looks upon Tempest… they see a place where every being—goblin, orc, or true dragon alike—is granted that same fresh start to live side‑by‑side in harmony. That is the heart of our nation… and something we should hold high with pride.”
“Souei—how fare your scouts stationed outside this hall?” Benimaru turned toward the shadow‑cloaked leader.
“All remain at highest alert, Lord Benimaru,” Souei answered calmly, never shifting his kneeling posture. “Shadow Strikers have absorbed tactical insights from Yuji Itadori’s battles against high‑grade curses. Movement patterns behind Black Flash strikes—and close‑range manipulation of cursed energy—have been recorded by Master Hakurou… to become new training drills for our infantry. We did not merely watch… we grew stronger through it.”
“Magnificent! That is exactly what I wished to hear!” Gabil declared, striking his signature dramatic pose and spreading his great scaled wings wide. “And my Wyvern Riders shall not lag behind! We saw how Wistoria built its strength around a single Magic Tower… yet we shall prove to all eight worlds alike: Tempest’s skies are far grander—and unconquerable—by any tower‑bound magic! Long live Lord Rimuru!”
“Well now… looks as though everyone stands fully ready,” Guy Crimson rose lazily from his seat, stretching his powerful frame while wearing a smile alluring yet deadly. His crimson gaze drifted toward the great window—toward the sky where that celestial screen now rested silent. “Rimuru… this past three weeks has been far from dull. Knowing somewhere out there exist beings like Ayanokōji—moving coldly, untouched by feeling—or mages who claw their way upward from despair… reminds me this world still holds things worth crushing… or worth protecting. This hour of rest nears its end soon enough. I find myself eager indeed… to meet the new protagonist this screen brings before us next.”
Rimuru looked first toward Guy, then swept his gaze across every ally standing near—each eye burning with unshakable resolve. Memories gathered from eight worlds remained etched deep within their souls… preserving every hardship, struggle, and triumph belonging to those extraordinary souls they had witnessed.
“True enough,” Rimuru stood tall upon his throne, robes flowing softly around him as his aura rose—commanding and noble. “Our hour draws almost to a close. Whoever steps forward next… we shall receive them with eyes opened wide to truths revealed across eight worlds. Let us show every realm beyond… the true heart and spirit of the Jura Tempest Federation!”
[The World of Jujutsu Kaisen]
The sky hanging over Tokyo—usually thick and heavy with lingering traces of dark cursed energy—had for three long weeks been dominated by a colossal glowing silver screen. Now, after a marathon broadcast concluding the journey of Blank within a world untouched by magic, that great glow dimmed away… leaving behind stark, revealing words that laid bare one undeniable truth: every struggle they had endured had been transmitted outwards to seven entirely separate realms.
Deep within the underground meeting hall at Tokyo Jujutsu High, the atmosphere turned instantly heavy and suffocating. Twelve jujutsu sorcerers had gathered there… and the announcement struck like a sledgehammer, shattering whatever small privacy they had ever known.
“Hah?! You mean… everyone out there saw the exact moment I swallowed Sukuna’s finger?!”
Yuji Itadori shot bolt‑upright from his chair, clutching both hands to his head, utterly stunned. His face burned bright red—equal parts embarrassment and disbelief. “They watched me break down crying when Junpei… when he died?! They saw me standing before my own execution at the hands of Okkotsu‑senpai?! And… every foolish, awkward thing I’ve done… from the very start… was all out there for strangers to see?!”
“Calm down, Yuji—you’re making far too much noise,” grumbled Nobara Kugisaki sharply… though she too crossed her arms tightly and turned her face away, cheeks flushing deep pink. She tapped her forearm rhythmically with restless irritation. “But ugh… this really is the worst possible news! That means that stammering mage from the first world, that sword‑wielding bookworm from the second… and especially… that lecherous sorcerer Rudeus from the sixth realm… they all watched my face get wrecked by cursed techniques… or laughed at every silly mistake I made when I first arrived in Tokyo?! My pride as a city girl is absolutely ruined!”
“Kugisaki… that isn’t the point here,” Megumi Fushiguro cut in, his voice low, weighed down by heavy pressure. He sat arms folded, sharp eyes fixed hard upon the floor, his expression dark and grim. “The real issue is intelligence security. That screen laid bare exactly how our cursed techniques work… to seven different dimensions. Everything—my Ten Shadows Technique, the time‑limit rules within Nanami‑san’s Ratio Technique, every hidden advantage we hold… all recorded permanently by beings possessing god‑like power—like Rimuru Tempest or Guy Crimson.”
“Hahaha! Why so serious, everyone? Don’t you realize how amusing this truly is?!”
Gojo Satoru laughed freely and openly, waving one hand casually while leaning back comfortably against his chair. His black blindfold remained in place, yet his broad grin radiated absolute, unshakable superiority. “Eight worlds watching one another! That means billions of souls out there just witnessed exactly how handsome and powerful I am… unleashing Unlimited Void at full strength! Hey Yuji, Megumi… you ought to be proud—students taught by the strongest sorcerer alive… whose legendary charm now reaches across every boundary between dimensions!”
“Gojo‑sensei… please—now is hardly the time for jokes,” Yuta Okkotsu spoke softly yet firmly. He had returned swiftly from studying abroad the moment this mysterious phenomenon appeared… and vast reserves of cursed energy swirled steadily, controlled yet immense, all around him. “I watched every broadcast from afar these past three weeks. Learning that worlds exist—like Natsuki Subaru’s—where one must die over and over again just to save others… it made me realize: at least the curses in our realm follow clear rules. But if observers remember everything just as perfectly as we do… we have to assume they now know exactly how to counter everything we do.”
“Yuta’s right,” Maki Zen’in agreed, resting her cursed spear firmly against her shoulder, her gaze cool and unyielding behind special‑lensed glasses. “Seeing brilliant minds in Classroom of the Elite or No Game No Life twist and rewrite rules without needing even a trace of cursed energy… taught me something vital: relying entirely on raw power can become a fatal flaw—especially against opponents who can read our every thought and pattern. We cannot win strength‑versus‑strength alone anymore.”
“Salmon,” Toge Inumaki nodded gravely—speaking only within his restricted speech tradition—yet his eyes carried uncommon seriousness above his high collar.
“Panda agrees completely!” Panda chimed in, raising one large paw and tapping it firmly against the tabletop. “In that Slime‑realm… there are many human‑like beings with created souls or powers to absorb others—just like me—but their tactics and organization are far sharper and disciplined. If outsiders watched us… they surely noticed how fragile the structure of Jujutsu High truly is… and how easily it could be penetrated from within.”
“Hmph! Fragile or not—what truly matters is burning bright with soul and spirit!” Aoi Todo declared, rising instantly to his feet and tearing open his shirt until buttons flew free—revealing thick, powerful muscles rippling beneath. “Yuji! My brother! You need never care what strangers from other dimensions might think! When your journey played fourth in sequence… the whole universe witnessed perfect harmony—our legendary Black Flash striking down Hanami together! Whether it be that silver‑haired lady Emilia… or tower‑bound mages from the land of Wistoria… every last one surely wept seeing true brotherhood in action! Our souls are linked forever… across time and space alike!”
“T‑Todo… thank you… really… but please… could you put your shirt back on?” Yuji pleaded, sweating nervously—touched yet equally alarmed by Todo’s overwhelming enthusiasm.
“Your actions are remarkably inefficient, Todo,” sighed Kento Nanami, adjusting his glasses with one precise finger, deep lines of exhaustion etched clearly upon his face… as if his workload had just multiplied ten‑fold overnight. “The screen clearly stated we have exactly one hour’s pause. Based on all we have observed—especially the cold, calculated strategies of Ayanokōji Kiyotaka—this exposure forces us to completely restructure every security protocol and defensive measure we follow. Without doubt… this will become the most grueling overtime assignment in recorded history.”
“Still… I believe Yuji‑kun’s story was truly wonderful…” Kasumi Miwa whispered softly from where she sat tucked away in the corner, cheeks blushing as she tightened her grip around her sword’s hilt. “Even seeing terrifying beings like Lord Sukuna… knowing that people from worlds far away grieved alongside us… and cheered for him… it feels as though we are no longer fighting all alone within such dark times.”
“Miwa… you are far too trusting and naive,” Mai Zen’in scoffed dismissively, twirling a single bullet idly between her fingers with a cynical smirk. “To them… we are nothing more than entertainment. Do you imagine Demon Lords like Rimuru… or arrogant high‑ranking sorcerers from Wistoria… truly care about our suffering? They watch exactly like people watching a circus act… waiting only to see us fall… or one by one be destroyed.”
Yuji fell silent—Mai’s sharp words and Nanami’s stern warnings echoing heavy within his mind. Yet memories rose back clearly from those three weeks spent watching others: Monica finding courage beyond her fears… Will climbing higher just to keep a promise… Subaru dragging himself forward again and again from death itself… and deep within his heart… a warm, steady resolve began to grow.
“That isn’t true, Mai‑san,” Yuji answered, lifting his head high—eyes shining bright with that familiar golden‑tinted determination only he possessed. “I am scared… and I feel embarrassed… knowing everything was seen. But… if strangers out there truly watched me… I want them to know: I would never regret swallowing that finger… if it meant saving other people’s lives. We’ve seen how hard everyone fights in their own worlds… refusing ever to give up… and so… I too will keep moving forward… no matter what lies ahead!”
A short while after Yuji finished speaking, silence settled once more over the room, as all waited for the pause granted by the screen to draw toward its end.
Yet that quiet was broken again when Megumi Fushiguro spoke up.
“Still, if we look at it logically,” Megumi Fushiguro began, cutting through the stillness in his usual calm, cool, and measured tone. “The fact our story appeared right after the Slime’s realm creates a striking difference indeed. In Lord Rimuru’s world, death itself can be undone through mass resurrection magic—provided the right conditions are met. Here… once a life is lost—like Junpei, or anyone claimed by curses—they are gone forever. Those watching from beyond must surely realize just how high the stakes run here, and how final every loss truly is.”
“Exactly so, Fushiguro‑kun,” agreed Kento Nanami, leaning back in his chair and folding his hands neatly, his expression grave and shadowed. “Most worrying of all is Ryomen Sukuna, dwelling within Itadori’s body. All eight worlds witnessed his brief return in Shibuya… or the moment he tore Itadori’s heart out at the very start. Sharp‑minded beings such as Guy Crimson… or even that young strategist Ayanokōji… will already mark Sukuna down as a disaster‑level threat—something no ordinary logic can predict or control.”
“Hmph! No matter how mighty that King of Curses claims to be… he is nothing compared to true beauty and strength of spirit!” Aoi Todo huffed, crossing his powerful arms over his chest—having finally pulled his shirt back on, though half its buttons remained lost. “Yuji! Do you remember what we saw in Mushoku Tensei? That young man Rudeus fought his way up from nothing… all for the sake of those he loved. And Will Serfort swung his blade again and again… bound by a promise made in childhood! Their struggles are rooted in devotion and unyielding will—qualities Sukuna lacks entirely. That is why… before eyes from distant worlds… your journey—filled with honest heart—holds far greater worth than the madness of that ancient monster!”
“Todo… you really do know exactly how to lift my spirits,” Yuji Itadori replied softly with a faint smile, scratching the back of his neck. The heavy weight pressing against his chest grew a little lighter. “Yet honestly… watching Re:Zero right after our own tale… I realized my hardships are nothing compared to what Natsuki Subaru endures. He bears the real pain of death… over and over again. Me? At least I have all of you standing right beside me on the front lines. Knowing Subaru‑san might be watching me now… I promise never to act weak or complain about my fate.”
“So you take that hollow‑eyed boy as your example now, do you?” Nobara Kugisaki teased gently, resting her chin in one hand and glancing toward him—sharp at first, yet softening with quiet respect. “Well… I won’t deny his grit is impressive. But don’t forget—everyone out there also saw how we shattered that Womb Curse together using Resonance! We looked absolutely amazing in Episode 24! I’m certain girls from the Silent Witch’s realm… or ice‑wielding mages from Wistoria… were thoroughly captivated seeing me fight—stylish and deadly all at once!”
“Kugisaki‑san speaks truly—both of you shone brilliantly,” added Yuta Okkotsu with a warm, reassuring smile. “From where I watched abroad… I could feel how deep and true your bond had become. Yet what troubles me most… is how minds from worlds without magic—like Ayanokōji’s, or Sora and Shiro’s—see cursed energy. They cannot see curses themselves… yet if they understand curses grow from human negativity… they might learn to stir and shape people’s feelings… giving rise to new forms of harm… should the walls between worlds ever crumble away.”
“Sharp insight there, Yuta—just what I’d hope for from my favorite student!” Gojo Satoru snapped his fingers playfully, radiating unshakeable confidence. “But you’re all missing one vital truth. It matters not how clever Blank becomes… or how coldly and carefully Ayanokōji plans ahead… before my Limitless power—no scheme or thought‑alone tactic can ever reach me. That screen may show how my abilities work… yet knowing the rules… is nothing like being able to stop them. So never fear for our world’s safety… not while I stand guard right here.”
“That arrogance of yours will one day turn back on you, Gojo,” Maki Zen’in grumbled in disagreement, spinning her cursed spear deftly before resting it once more against the wall. “Still—I agree we must never appear weak. Knowing Mai and every faction—including the Zen’in clan—were watched as well… it strikes me how foolish our internal feuds look… when threats might step in from beyond our skies. It’s time we broaden our whole way of thinking.”
“Salmon… Okaka,” Inumaki Toge nodded firmly—making clear he fully stood behind Maki’s call for unity.
“Exactly right,” Panda agreed, patting her shoulder gently with one great paw. “In No Game No Life, every kindred stood together bound by rules just to survive. Here in the jujutsu community… elders and young sorcerers alike waste strength tearing one another down. If observers from seven worlds saw how stubborn and backward our leaders remain… they’d surely judge us as undeveloped… especially when it comes to uniting people for the good of all.”
“B‑But… surely the elders were watching too… weren’t they?” Kasumi Miwa asked softly, raising her hand timidly, her face marked with worry. “Does that mean they also know everything Gojo‑sensei and Yuji‑kun plan behind closed doors… won’t that make Yuji‑kun’s position even more dangerous once this pause ends?”
“Let those stuffy old men watch… and squirm in their comfortable chairs,” Gojo replied with a dismissive grin, waving it all away lightly. “They just witnessed how even simple beings can build thriving nations… and how ordinary youths can seize kingdoms without spilling blood. If they cling to outdated ways even after seeing worlds evolve all around us… then their minds have long since fallen behind the times.”
Yuji clenched both hands firmly upon the table, feeling pure, refined cursed energy flow stronger and steadier within him. Three weeks spent walking alongside other heroes—from Monica’s quiet courage… to Blank’s brilliant wit—had forged his spirit far beyond the boy who first accepted Sukuna inside himself.
“Our hour of rest is nearly done,” Yuji spoke clearly, drawing every eye in the room straight toward him. His gaze held golden determination—no longer shaken by fear of execution or fate itself. “Whoever appears next upon that screen… I shall meet them with deepest respect. And I promise—when they look back upon us again one day… they won’t see a helpless vessel… but a jujutsu sorcerer worthy to stand equal beside them!”
Gojo Satoru chuckled softly, rising from his seat and clapping Yuji proudly upon the shoulder. “Well said indeed, Yuji. Alright everyone—stand ready. That sky‑screen lights up again… very soon!”
[The World of Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World]
The sky above the Border City of Flugel—gathering place for every faction contending for the royal throne—suddenly released the heavy pressure that had weighed upon it these past three weeks. The colossal silver screen hovering motionless high above had just finished its marathon broadcast, concluding the tale of pure wit and intellect belonging to Sora and Shiro from No Game No Life.
Yet that fleeting calm was shattered instantly, as fresh silver letters blazed sharply across the heavens… laying bare the deepest secret sealed away all this time by an invisible curse:
Well now… suppose I share a fascinating truth!! This glowing screen appeared within eight separate worlds… and every last one of you has been watching each other’s stories… seeing exactly what every other hero endured and achieved…
Deep inside the main meeting hall within the inn, the atmosphere plunged into freezing stillness. Seventeen souls gathered there stood utterly transfixed, breath caught in their throats. The silence grew thick and heavy—so profound it felt as though even the softest sound might shatter reality itself.
“W‑What…?”
Natsuki Subaru stood frozen at the room’s center, his face drained of every hue—pale as a corpse. Hands trembling violently, he instinctively clutched hard against his chest… the very spot where an invisible hand belonging to the Witch of Envy always crushed his heart whenever he dared reveal his true power. Yet this time… no searing pain came. No black mist rose to choke him. That mysterious screen had stripped away every hidden layer of his existence: every death he suffered, every lowest point of despair… moments torn apart by monstrous hares… or beheaded by fanatical cultists… all laid bare before countless eyes. Not only within his own world… but across seven entirely foreign realms as well.
“They… they all saw it…?” Subaru whispered, voice cracking and raw. Eyes that once burned bright with stubborn resolve now stared hollow and empty… filled with deep‑rooted trauma. “When I begged and pleaded like a stray dog… when I died alone swallowed up by darkness… when madness crept close… did beings like Lord Rimuru… Lord Gojo… Lord Rudeus… witness every shameful part of me… and see exactly how wretched I truly am?!”
“Subaru!!”
Emilia leaped from her seat, casting aside all regal grace expected of a royal candidate. Tears streamed freely down her snow‑white cheeks. She rushed forward trembling violently, wrapping her arms tight around his rigid form. “Forgive me… please forgive me, Subaru! All this time… you died again and again… just to save me… suffered alone in places I never knew existed… and I never remembered a single moment! I… I always believed I was the one protecting you… yet it was you who kept pulling this whole world back from falling apart!”
“S‑Subaru‑kun…” Rem—only recently awakened from a long coma, her full memories restored by the screen’s influence throughout every broadcast—sank slowly to her knees upon the floor. One hand pressed hard over her mouth to muffle her sobbing. “Rem… acted so cruelly toward you in those earliest loops… struck you down with my flail… yet you only ever wanted to save everyone living within this great house… How could I… how could anyone forget such a brave hero standing right beside us?!”
“Calm yourself, sister. Do not let emotion disrupt your mana flow,” Ram stepped forward, resting a steady hand upon Rem’s shaking shoulders. Though her tone remained cool and detached as always… her gaze held a heavy weight of guilt she could no longer hide. She glanced toward Subaru—free now of every trace of mockery or disdain. “You truly are a foolish, exasperating man… Barusu. Knowing you bore such agony… simply so maids like myself and my sister might remain alive… changes everything I ever thought I knew about you.”
“Subaru is Beatrice’s contractor, remember! Never dare speak of yourself as wretched or unworthy… not while Beatrice stands here!” Beatrice—the great spirit seated upon her small chair—sprang upward and clutched firmly at the hem of his coat. Tears welled within her large butterfly‑shaped eyes. “Every soul watching from afar… they saw how you freed Beatrice from that forbidden library! How you reached out and took my hand! You are Beatrice’s greatest hero… no matter what any stranger from beyond dares say otherwise!”
“Garf… ain’t got words enough to say… Captain…” Garfiel Tinsel clenched his fists so tight his nails bit deep into his own palms. Jaws locked hard… tears stung his scarred face—burning with rage at his own helplessness. “You died back there within the Sanctuary… watched me turn into a beast and tear everything apart… yet still came back… punched me right in the face… shook me awake and set me straight… You are a true man, Captain! Whoever dares look down on you now… I’ll tear ’em apart with these fangs of mine!”
“Garfiel speaks true. Lord Subaru has shown strength of spirit far beyond what any ordinary human could endure,” added Frederica Baumann, dabbing away tears at her eyes with a handkerchief… while young Petra Leyte clung tightly to her waist, weeping openly.
“This… truly goes far beyond anything I imagined~,” Roswaal L. Mathers spoke in his usual singsong tone… yet his painted features could not conceal utter shock shining within his mismatched eyes. He stared upward toward the ceiling, gaze distant and hollow. “So… that sacred Gospel I worshipped faithfully all these years… was nothing more than one tiny thread woven within fate’s vast web… pulled entirely by your power of Return by Death, Subaru‑kun? And now… my carefully laid schemes stand revealed to every watching eye… What a magnificent… terrible jest~.”
“Roswaal… hold your tongue unless you wish my blade parting your head from your shoulders this very instant,” Crusch Karsten commanded, voice sharp yet trembling with suppressed fury. She stood tall and proud… though her body still labored to recover from lingering curse effects. “Lord Natsuki Subaru… on behalf of the entire Karsten faction… I bow before you in deepest respect. We witnessed how death is faced within Jujutsu Kaisen… and absolute power held by Lord Rimuru. Yet for one ordinary man—possessing no great magic—only to turn back time… paying the price over and over with agony and death itself… You embody what it truly means to be a noble knight.”
“Meow… Lady Crusch speaks rightly,” Felix Argyle leaned his head wearily against her shoulder, cat ears drooping low with heavy regret. “Ferris once doubted you… Subaru‑kyun… treated you harshly right here among our meetings… But seeing how you drove ice magic straight through your own head… just to reset time and save us all… I realize now how foolish I was. Those watching surely think we burdened you endlessly… yet you never once complained.”
“No one here was ever a burden to me,” Wilhelm Van Astrea stepped forward, placing weathered, calloused hands firmly upon Subaru’s shoulder. The legendary Sword Saint’s eyes shone with pure reverence. “Lord Subaru… when we stood against the Great White Whale… you stood at the very front… acting as decoy without a trace of fear. Now I understand where such courage came from—you stared death in the face… and conquered it. It would be my life’s greatest honor… to draw my blade and fight guided by your wisdom.”
“Whoa… heavy talk all around,” Felt grumbled, crossing her arms tightly while still shaken by the bloody struggles she had witnessed. She turned a sharp glance toward Reinhard. “Hey you—Reinhard! Called the greatest knight of all our lands… but after seeing all this… doesn’t it seem like that title belongs far better to this stubborn fool Subaru? He averted every disaster… without any divine blessings or special gifts like yours!”
Reinhard Van Astrea bowed his head low… noble features shadowed by profound remorse. The pride of being his world’s strongest knight crumbled away… knowing his immense power could never reach Subaru in those moments of suffering no one else could share. “You speak truly, Lady Felt. Lord Subaru… all my strength and blessings mean nothing… if I could never stand beside you through such trials. That seven other worlds witnessed my failure… my inability to shield you… is a blow my spirit shall carry forevermore.”
“Everyone… please… enough…” Anastasia Hoshin sighed softly, stroking her precious fur‑lined scarf to steady herself. Sharp merchant’s eyes now held deep emotional calculation. “Be sure—brilliant minds from worlds like No Game No Life… or cold strategists such as Ayanokōji… analyze every move we make right now. Yet one fact stands clear: news that Subaru turns back time… raises Emilia’s faction value beyond measure. We must prepare… in case barriers between dimensions truly break open one day.”
“Lady Anastasia is right—we must look forward,” Julius Juukulius advanced, placing one hand over his heart and bowing deeply toward Subaru… stiff yet utterly sincere. “Lord Natsuki Subaru… I struck you down within the arena once… blinded then by arrogant pride. Now I understand… you acted boldly because you carried secrets too heavy to speak aloud… chased endlessly by death’s shadow. If observers saw how I treated one such as you… I accept every judgment they cast. From this day onward… my sword… my honor… stand ready to serve you faithfully.”
Subaru listened to every word spoken… every tear shed… every confession offered freely around him. Emilia’s warm hand resting against his back… Beatrice’s firm grip upon his coat… slowly melted the icy stillness that had frozen his heart ever since his hidden truth was laid bare.
“You all…” Subaru lifted his head… tears finally spilling down weary cheeks… yet that familiar stubborn smile began to return. “Truly… you make me far too proud! I never walked alone… had you not reached out to help me at every turning point… I’d have given up ages ago! Whether strangers watch or not… whether they see weakness or monster… I care nothing for it! I am Natsuki Subaru! Emilia’s knight… and Beatrice’s hero! This one‑hour pause draws near its end… let us show every realm beyond… that nowhere does heart and resolve burn brighter… than right here within our world!”
The atmosphere within the great hall of Border City Flugel slowly shifted—from suffocating despair toward unshakable, united resolve. Subaru’s words acted as firm pillars, steadying the spirit of every faction, which had wavered deeply after the mysterious screen laid bare their most guarded truths.
“Barusu remains Barusu… even after every embarrassing secret was watched by strange beings from worlds beyond,” Ram said, folding her arms across her chest and turning her gaze toward the window—though the corner of her mouth twitched upward into a faint, hidden smile. “Still… to speak with such confidence before knights and royal candidates alike… I suppose Ram might award you fifty out of one hundred points for that speech.”
“Sister, do not judge Subaru‑kun quite so strictly!” Rem wiped the last traces of tears from her cheeks, then stood tall and steady beside him, her eyes burning with devotion far deeper and brighter than before. “Rem… we saw how the world of Wistoria honors every promise made… and how Lord Yuji Itadori fights to guard the souls of others. Yet to Rem’s heart… no hero shown upon that screen holds truer purpose than Subaru‑kun. Knowing now that all those distant worlds have learned the truth… Rem feels only pride—pride to serve and be loved by a hero such as you.”
“Uu… Rem, you praise me far too much… it makes me want to cry all over again!” Subaru rubbed his nose awkwardly, his face flushing bright red under the flood of kind words from everyone gathered near.
“Subaru must not weep alone, kashira!” Beatrice tugged firmly at the hem of his coat with a pouty, adorable frown—though her eyes remained soft and swollen from tears. “If strangers out there… especially great mages from that Slime’s realm or the Magic Tower… see Beatrice’s contractor crying over such things… it shall ruin Beatrice’s reputation as keeper of the Forbidden Library! Stand tall now—Betty shall always stand right beside you!”
“Thanks, Beako,” Subaru replied softly, running his hand gently through her golden hair—drawing pure, warm comfort straight into his heart.
Emilia still held his hand tightly in hers, gazing upward toward the sky where the screen rested during its one‑hour pause. “Subaru… when we first watched Lady Monica’s story at the beginning… I felt such deep sympathy for her struggle to speak freely before others. Yet now I understand—every one of us carries fears and burdens hidden away. This screen… cruel as it seemed tearing open every old wound… also bound our hearts together—where secrets once kept us apart.”
“Lady Emilia speaks rightly,” Otto Suwen stepped forward, adjusting his hat while letting out a long, weary sigh—heavy with the weight of all he managed. “As steward of our household… knowing minds like Ayanokōji Kiyotaka watched every detail of our affairs… makes my head ache enough to burst! That man… he observes people exactly like chess pieces—without feeling or mercy! If he spotted weaknesses within our alliance during these past three weeks… I have no doubt he already planned ways to unravel Lugnica’s economy from deep within the shadows!”
“Hahaha! Easy there, Otto—no need to fret!” Garfiel Tinsel slapped him hard upon the back—so forcefully the green‑haired steward nearly choked. “Let that Ayanokōji be clever… or that Blank pair outthink every game they play—they’ve got no muscle to fight out here! Against these fangs… and our Captain’s knack for seeing what lies ahead through death itself… every sly scheme crumbles straight to dust! ‘A lion cares not for how ants count pebbles upon a rock’—just like the old saying goes back home!”
“Garfiel… that saying does little to calm Master Otto’s worries,” Frederica Baumann shook her head with a knowing smile, while gently soothing young Petra Leyte—who had stopped crying and now stared wide‑eyed at Subaru, filled with pure admiration.
“Yet… looking deeper still,” Crusch Karsten spoke, drawing every eye with her commanding, dignified presence. “Lord Rudeus Greyrat’s tale in Mushoku Tensei showed us how regret from a wasted life can turn into strength—used to cherish and protect family within a second chance. Lord Natsuki Subaru was granted no such fresh beginning… yet every time he rises from death… he carries lessons from every past failure… weaving them into something better for tomorrow. Such strength of will… is something even gods themselves would never dare belittle.”
“Meow… Ferris agrees entirely with Lady Crusch,” Felix Argyle nodded slowly, cat ears twitching softly as he looked toward Subaru with a thoughtful expression. “As one who heals… Ferris knows well how deep scars run—body and soul alike—after every death endured. That your spirit remained whole… never shattered apart… is a miracle no healing magic could ever explain. Worlds beyond must tremble… seeing just how far sheer determination can carry you, Subaru‑kyun.”
“I’m not mad, Ferris… I simply had no other choice… if I wished to see you all smiling safely at journey’s end,” Subaru answered with a faint, weary smile, scratching gently at his cheek.
“And that is exactly what makes you a true knight, Lord Subaru,” Wilhelm Van Astrea bowed respectfully, resting aged hands firmly upon his sword hilt. “Even in lands where I fought against colossal beasts… I never met one who bore weight so heavy and still stood tall. Reinhard… my son… you witnessed all eight worlds alongside us. What wisdom do you hold now… as the strongest blade within this kingdom?”
Reinhard Van Astrea lifted his head—sky‑blue eyes fixed sincerely upon Subaru… free of envy, pride, or judgment of any kind. “My conclusion remains unchanged, Father. All the power granted me through Divine Blessings… is nothing compared to the strength found within Lord Subaru’s heart. That screen revealed my failings… my inability to shield you from tragedy… to seven far‑off realms. Yet it also taught me what true heroism truly means. Lord Subaru… if ever you face despair too great to overcome alone… call out my name. I shall come—even if I must cross the very boundaries between worlds.”
“Reinhard… you really are far too perfect… it only makes me feel more like a failure standing next to you,” Subaru chuckled softly—yet his gaze shone with deepest gratitude.
“Fufu… truly moving words indeed,” Anastasia Hoshin fanned herself gracefully, sharp eyes gleaming with insight and wisdom. “This hour of rest nears its close. We learned much from how Blank turns every rule to their favor… and saw how Lord Rimuru built a strong, united nation. All we have witnessed is precious treasure… guiding Lugnica toward its future. We must never let such knowledge go to waste.”
“Agreed,” Julius Juukulius stepped beside Reinhard, drawing his knightly blade briefly before sheathing it once more with disciplined precision. “They watched us… and we watched them. Let it be known: no matter what comes… every faction striving for the throne shall ensure Natsuki Subaru’s sacrifices were never in vain. We shall meet whatever comes next… with heads held high.”
Subaru drew a deep breath—feeling Emilia’s hand clasped tight on one side… and Beatrice’s small grip steady on the other. Fear that his secret had been uncovered had faded completely… replaced by bonds of kinship and respect far stronger than he ever dared hope for.
“Alright then!” Subaru raised his fist boldly toward the sky—striking that familiar, spirited pose all knew so well. “Let us await the next hero to appear… with the heart of a knight… and a smile that never fades!”
[The World of Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation]
The skies above the fortified magic city of Ranoa finally shed the heavy, frozen tension that had hung over them for three long weeks. The colossal silver screen hovering motionless high aloft—having just finished revealing the full brilliance of Blank’s genius within a world void of magic—now bore sharp glowing script that laid forth an unexpected truth.
Within the family hall of the Greyrat estate in Sharia, the air turned suddenly still—weighted down by a crushing mental pressure. Ten people gathered there stood fixed in place, eyes locked upon those words… realizing one undeniable fact: every chapter of their lives, every regret, every fault, and every struggle… had been witnessed by seven distant civilizations spanning dimensions far beyond their own.
“S‑So… you mean to say…”
Rudeus Greyrat sank deep within his wooden chair, his body trembling faintly. His face went pale; cold sweat trickled down his temples. The soul reborn within him—still bearing deep scars from his former life as a wretched, jobless outcast in Japan—stirred and churned wildly. That screen had stripped everything bare: how he had been cast out, how he wept alone within his room… even those foolish, shameful urges that marked the earliest days of his second life. All of it seen and judged by great souls such as Lord Gojo Satoru, Lord Rimuru Tempest… and the legendary Natsuki Subaru himself.
“Everyone… saw the life I once lived? They know just how vile I was… before I was given another chance here…?” Rudeus buried his face within both hands, lips quivering—overwhelmed by shame and dread of being condemned by eyes from every corner of existence.
“Rudy…” Sylphiette knelt instantly beside his chair, clasping his hands tight within her own. Tears welled within her clear green eyes. “I care nothing for what strangers may have seen about your past! To me… you are the Rudy who saved me, the Rudy who studied endlessly to grow strong… and the husband who loves this family more than anything else! If those from beyond laugh at you… it only proves they shall never understand how hard you fought to rise from the darkness you once knew!”
“Sylphy speaks the truth, Rudeus!” added Roxy Migurdia, stepping forward while clutching her staff close against her chest. Her usual calm expression softened—flushed both with embarrassment and unyielding pride. “It showed how we first met… how you honored me as your teacher… and… every tender moment shared between us. It is… deeply humbling, yes. Yet they also saw—mages from realms like Wistoria or The Silent Witch included—how you mastered Emperor‑rank magic without a single spoken incantation… while still but a child! You remain my finest student… and all those watching ought to recognize that truth!”
“Brother… you must not let words upon that screen break you!” Norn Greyrat cried out—her eyes still swollen from the exhausting tale unfolding over these past weeks. She gripped the hem of her dress, heart laid bare. “Once I resented you… thought you strange and distant. But witnessing all you endured across the Demon Continent… how you braved the Teleportation Maze just to rescue Mother… I know now you are truly noble and brave! Young heroes like Yuji Itadori or Natsuki Subaru—they too know the pain of losing family… they would never look down upon you!”
“Exactly so, Sister Norn!” agreed Aisha Greyrat eagerly—though her cheeks burned bright red recalling how her devoted yet unconventional service to her brother had been broadcast across dimensions. “As your maid and sister… I have studied the ways of those we watched—especially that sharp mind Ayanokōji Kiyotaka. Clever as they may be… none possess the warmth and loving family you built right here! Let them observe all they wish—we shall stand firm and show that the Greyrat spirit never wavers!”
“Hoho… truly a situation fit to stir a knight’s heart!” Elinalise Dragonroad giggled behind her fan… yet her gaze held sharp calculation honed while watching battles fought within Jujutsu Kaisen. “Knowing our private moments and perilous journeys through labyrinths were seen by fine young men from afar… ah, surely that handsome Lord Gojo cast a knowing glance my way! But Rudeus… hold your head high. They witnessed what it means to be a man willing to risk everything… just to save his own parents.”
“Elinalise‑san… please spare us such talk at a moment like this,” Luke Notos Greyrat sighed, straightening the ornamental sword at his hip. His noble pride felt ruffled yet sincere respect shone through. “Still… as your kinsman… I must admit: seeing how leaders like Lord Rimuru forged nations… or how factions moved with purpose in Re:Zero… the Greyrat name now carries weight beyond our world itself. We must uphold ourselves with honor… lest we bring shame upon all who look to us.”
“Hmph! Let them judge as they please—magic cares nothing for opinion!” Cliff Grimoire folded his arms, feigning arrogance to hide his own nervousness. “Mages in that Wistoria realm strut proudly within their towers… yet here we stand—where even as an infant, Rudeus could weave mana with absolute purity! As Elinalise’s betrothed… and your friend… I make this vow: should any stranger dare belittle our magic’s true power… I shall silence them utterly through the very logic of cursed formulas they cannot comprehend!”
“Rudeus… is a protector of great strength,” Zanoba Shirone spoke in his deep, steady tone—gazing upon him with pure devotion as one who revered his master’s gift for shaping beauty. “All worlds have seen the wonder of our crafted creations… and your overwhelming might when facing the Hydra deep within the maze. Even beings such as Lord Rimuru… or that lightning‑wielding champion from Wistoria… must surely marvel at your dedication to craft… and the formidable power you possess!”
Standing gracefully near the edge of the room, hands folded neatly over her apron, Lilia Greyrat watched on—calm eyes glistening with deep emotion stirred by everything revealed these past weeks. “Young Master Rudeus… even from the day you were born… I knew your spirit held something far greater. This screen laid your hidden past bare before every realm… yet it also showed us clearly how you seized this second chance… to make amends through duty and devotion… becoming a worthy son to Master Paul and Mistress Zenith. I could not be prouder… to serve you faithfully all these years.”
Slowly… Rudeus lowered his hands and lifted his head once more. He looked upon Sylphy still holding him fast… Roxy standing tall and proud before him… his beloved sisters… and dear friends who never turned away. The warmth filling that room began to melt away the icy fear rising from old wounds long thought healed.
“To all of you… thank you,” Rudeus breathed out deeply—an honest, gentle smile returning to rest upon his face. He straightened his posture fully… eyes shining with resolve of one who has accepted his new life completely. “It is true… my past was shameful… and I stumbled foolishly at the very start of this journey. Yet if Natsuki Subaru can rise again and again from death itself… and Will Serfort can swing his blade without magic… keeping faith to a promise made long ago… then I—Rudeus Greyrat—shall never let this precious second gift be wasted… simply because I fear what others might think!”
[The World of Classroom of the Elite]
The sky above Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing High School—usually pristine, mirroring the calm pretense of this elite institution—had been invaded by something utterly illogical for three weeks straight. The colossal silver screen hanging motionless high above had just finished its marathon broadcast, concluding with the sheer intellectual triumph of the duo Blank from the world of No Game No Life.
Yet the fragile peace within the main gymnasium—where twenty‑four selected representatives had gathered—shattered instantly, as fresh silver lettering blazed brightly across the sky‑screen. Those words laid bare the greatest secret behind the screen’s very existence.
Inside the hall, the atmosphere plummeted to an extreme freezing point. Twenty‑four students and faculty members from every class stood frozen in place. Most held their breath, processing the weight of this revelation using every ounce of their mental capacity. Every scheme, act of manipulation, betrayal, and buried secret belonging to this academy—and most critically, the very existence of the White Room—had been laid bare before seven other worlds inhabited by supernatural beings, monsters, and sorcerers.
“So… what those words mean is…”
Suzune Horikita stepped forward, pressing a hand tight against her chest where her heart pounded in overwhelming shock. Her usually composed features drained completely of color. “The whole world… seven other realms filled with legendary mages like Lady Monica, beings such as Lord Rimuru, and people willing to stake their very lives like Natsuki Subaru… they have all been watching us? They saw how we turned against one another during the island exam? They witnessed every weakness I revealed whenever I let pride cloud my judgment?!”
“Please remain calm, Horikita‑san,” Yōsuke Hirata tried to soothe her, though his voice trembled violently, his skin glistening with cold sweat. “This… this lies entirely beyond our control. Knowing that my own past wounds… and the way I allowed my class to fall apart… were observed by countless eyes out there… it feels terrifying beyond words.”
“Hah?! You must be joking!!” Ken Sudō shouted aloud, fists clenched hard, veins bulging along his forehead. “That means they watched when I nearly got expelled?! And they saw me… kneeling and begging for help?! Damn it… knowing that someone like that white‑haired oddity Gojo Satoru… or master swordsmen such as Will Serfort… witnessed me at my lowest… my pride as an athlete has been utterly crushed!”
“Kukuku… you worry far too much over trivial things, Sudō,” Kakeru Ryūen chuckled low from the far corner, leaning lazily against the wall in a posture he forced to appear relaxed. His sharp eyes gleamed with reckless amusement mixed with deep frustration. “The point isn’t about your cheap pride. It’s the fact that every trick I used—how I intimidated Class D out in the snow… and how I was crushed by that bastard… was watched by master strategists from beyond our dimension. Realizing that the genius pair who even outwitted a god have analyzed every move I’ve ever made… it makes my skin crawl.”
“Ryūen‑kun speaks rightly. This amounts to a strategic intelligence leak on a cosmic scale,” Arisu Sakayanagi remarked in her usual composed tone, tapping her walking rhythmically against the gym floor in steady beats. Her customary faint smile had grown noticeably stiffer. “All our psychological tactics, the school’s entire point system… even the origins of our academy’s finest jewel… everything has been permanently recorded within the flawless perception of those foreign beings. Am I not correct… Ayanokōji‑kun?”
Every gaze in the room turned as one toward a single figure: Kiyotaka Ayanokōji.
The young man with brown hair stood amid the crowd bearing an entirely blank expression—monotone, devoid of even the faintest trace of emotion… exactly as he had appeared throughout the three‑week broadcast. Close beside him, Kei Karuizawa gripped the hem of his uniform sleeve tightly, trembling as she understood: the painful truth of her past as a victim of bullying had been exposed and viewed across eight worlds.
“Ayanokōji‑kun…” Kei whispered, voice cracking, tears brimming yet held back at the corners of her eyes. “Everyone… they know everything now. They saw exactly what you did to me up on that rooftop… they witnessed that ruthless side of you…”
“There is no need for alarm, Karuizawa,” Ayanokōji replied in his flat, unvarying tone—as if the news that seven worlds were observing him changed nothing within his mind. Yet deep within, his thoughts raced at maximum speed. “Eight worlds watching one another. That means the structure of the White Room, my methods of evaluating human potential… and my abilities shown during the seventh segment… have all been dissected by minds like Demon Lord Rimuru… or ancient sorcerers from Rudeus Greyrat’s realm. My privacy no longer exists at all.”
“Hmph… same dull, empty look as always,” Mio Ibuki scoffed, crossing her arms tightly with visible irritation. “You had the whole universe watching while you overpowered us up there… and you don’t even blink? You truly are a heartless monster, Ayanokōji.”
“Ooh my, this far exceeds anything I imagined~!” Ichika Amasawa skipped lightly toward him, wearing her signature sly grin while clasping hands behind her head. “Our magnificent Ayanokōji‑senpai… now every dimension knows just how perfect the finest product of that place truly is! Even mages from the world of Wistoria or curse‑bearers from Jujutsu Kaisen… surely stand in awe of your flawless way of thinking, Senpai!”
“Quiet yourself, Amasawa,” Takuya Yagami cut in sharply, tone cold and thick with suppressed resentment. His gaze burned with deep‑seated hatred fixed upon Ayanokōji. “This screen has ruined every plan we laid. The fact that you and I share the same roots has been broadcast for all to see. If outsiders judge us by such high standards… they must realize all our schemes here are nothing more than children’s games compared to the struggles for power unfolding out there.”
“You all make far too much noise,” Rokusuke Kōenji replied, running a comb through his fair hair while admiring himself in a small hand‑mirror, laughing softly with absolute self‑assurance untouched by the heavy atmosphere. “Let eight worlds watch… or eighty… the radiant perfection embodied within me—Kōenji Rokusuke—remains absolute! They beyond these walls must be captivated seeing how I mastered the island exam without resorting to your petty tricks… fufu!”
“Kōenji‑kun… please choose your words carefully,” Honami Ichinose interjected, cheeks flushed with a mix of embarrassment and deep unease, fingers clasped tightly before her chest. “Witnessing how Lord Natsuki Subaru fights for others while sacrificing himself… I realize our ways here—trading friends for mere points—appear incredibly selfish. I wonder… what does a wise leader like Lord Rimuru think… seeing us betray each other so easily?”
“They likely see us as pathetic, Ichinose,” Ryūji Kanzaki answered grimly. “In No Game No Life, every race united their strengths to win. Meanwhile here… we waste all our energy tearing each other apart inside this small cage.”
“There is no reason to lose heart,” Manabu Horikita—former student council president—stepped forward, commanding respect with his firm leadership presence, restoring order instantly throughout the hall. “The screen made clear: we have been shown one another’s struggles. That means… while they have seen our cold calculations… they have also seen how we strive to uncover and nurture human potential within this school. This is no ending… only a broadening of our perspective.”
“Miyabi Nagumo… what are your thoughts?” Hiyori Shiina asked softly from the shadows, holding her notebook close to her chest. “As current student council president… surely you have formed new insights after observing the psychological strategies used by Blank.”
“Fufu… fascinating. Truly fascinating,” Miyabi Nagumo smiled broadly, eyes gleaming with burning ambition. “Sora and Shiro conquered entire kingdoms using nothing but mental mastery. Here… I guide an entire generation through influence and systems of merit. Knowing my methods are being studied by brilliant minds across dimensions… it only fuels my resolve to prove that my way is superior!”
Off to the side, first‑year students such as Sakurako Tsubaki, Riku Utomiya, Tsubasa Nanase, and Kazuomi Hōsen offered their own reactions, each face etched with newly formed strategic considerations.
“Hmph! Magic or no magic out there… who cares?!” Kazuomi Hōsen grunted loudly, cracking his knuckles aggressively. “If any fool from beyond dares look down on raw strength just because they wield spells… I’ll smash their faces flat with my fists!”
“Hōsen‑kun… please refrain from speaking recklessly,” Tsubasa Nanase shook her head gravely. “We have seen Lord Yuji Itadori fight to protect others with everything he has. Power without true heart… means nothing in the eyes of those watching us.”
Sae Chabashira—Class D’s homeroom teacher—stood near the entrance with arms folded firmly across her chest. Exhaustion and profound shock were plain to read upon her beautiful features. “These past three weeks have opened all our eyes. Every secret our class held… how we leaned so heavily upon Ayanokōji… everything stripped bare before seven other worlds. This one‑hour pause nears its end… we must prepare ourselves for whatever comes next.”
Kiyotaka Ayanokōji gazed straight upward toward the glowing sky‑screen visible through high windows. Every detail he had absorbed—every lesson, spell, tactic, and emotion belonging to those extraordinary heroes from seven realms—remained perfectly preserved within his brilliant mind… not a single memory blurred or lost.
“Our hour of rest is nearly finished,” Ayanokōji spoke in his quiet yet piercing tone, drawing every eye in the room toward him. “They have observed us… and we have observed them. If they remember as clearly as we do… then from this moment forward… we must no longer act guided only by the rules of this school. We must understand this truth: we are now being judged… by the whole wide universe itself.”
“Judged by the whole universe, you say? Lofty words indeed… from someone who always strives to remain unseen and unnoticed,” Suzune Horikita replied, folding her arms tight while trying to steady the faint tremor in her hands behind a mask of icy composure. Her gaze sharpened as she fixed it upon him. “Yet you speak the truth. We have watched Monica Everett calculate millions of magical formulas… or seen how Sora and Shiro turn impossible odds entirely to their favor. If they analyzed our special examinations, they surely realized one thing clearly: nearly every victory earned by Class D—or rather, our Class C now—was never truly shaped by my plans at all… but set in motion quietly by you, hidden deep within the shadows.”
“Kukuku… no need to keep pretending any longer, Suzune,” Kakeru Ryūen stepped forward, letting his magenta‑hued hair fall messily as he wore a sharp, mocking grin. “That accursed screen played it all back clearly—how this bastard beat me and every one of my allies flat on the rooftop… with cold, revolting precision. All eight worlds watched while the so‑called ‘monster’ from your class treated me like a helpless child. Knowing mighty beings such as Lord Rimuru Tempest… or the strongest knight Reinhard… stood witness to my defeat… ah, it makes me want to tear that glowing screen right out of the sky. Yet at the same time… it proves one thing: the stakes played out within this school run far deeper and far more thrillingly than I ever guessed.”
“Ryūen‑kun… your pride truly knows no bounds,” Arisu Sakayanagi giggled softly behind her slender hand, though her sapphire‑blue eyes remained fixed intently on Ayanokōji… filled with an unmistakable sense of possession. “What fascinates me most of all is how the White Room must appear to those watching from afar. In Lord Rudeus Greyrat’s world, great talent is forged through hard work and given a second chance to grow. In ours… that place attempts to manufacture excellence in bulk… built entirely upon suffering and hardship. I am certain observers from magical realms look upon such human experimentation—performed without a single spell or enchantment—as something deeply terrifying… yet undeniably captivating as well.”
“S‑Stop… please… do not speak of that place ever again…” Kei Karuizawa bowed her head low, hiding her flushed face and glistening eyes against Ayanokōji’s back. “Everyone out there… they saw me weeping… begging for mercy… they saw every scar left behind…”
He did not turn toward her, yet his hand drifted slowly backward… resting gently yet steadily against her wrist—a quiet, calming signal understood only by the two of them alone. “They also saw you refuse to betray me, Karuizawa. In the eyes of every watching world, the strength you showed then stands equal to Natsuki Subaru’s resolve… when he too refused to surrender to whatever cruel fate tried to force upon him. You have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of.”
She fell still, her ragged breathing gradually calming as she absorbed these rare, reassuring words spoken so calmly from his lips.
“Tch… what a sickening display,” Mio Ibuki turned away in frustration, kicking aimlessly at the empty air to release her irritation. “Still… I have to admit—watching Yuji Itadori’s journey through Jujutsu Kaisen made me realize something important. Over there… they fight and risk everything just to keep others safe and unharmed. While here… we battle endlessly over mere Class Points… acting as if they alone decide how the world ends. Thinking back now… to how I once stole Horikita’s identity card all alone out on that island… my own schemes seem so small and petty… placed beside those who truly fight with their very lives on the line.”
“No strategy is petty… if it leads you to victory, Ibuki‑san,” Hiyori Shiina spoke softly with her usual gentle smile, though the notebook she held trembled faintly in her grasp. “Yet I was deeply moved by what unfolded within Wistoria. Lord Will Serfort swung his blade again and again… undaunted… even while the whole world looked down on him simply because he could not wield magic. In this academy… anyone placed within Class D is often written off as flawed… or worthless trash. But his story taught us clearly: what looks like weakness under one set of rules… is only proof you have yet to find the right place… and the right way… to truly shine.”
“Exactly right, Hiyori‑chan!” Honami Ichinose brushed away moisture gathering at her eyes, her warm, bright smile returning—even as faint blush lingered on her cheeks from truths revealed about her own heart these past weeks. “Seeing how Lord Rimuru welcomed every race and people without looking down on any… I feel more certain than ever: the path my class follows—built entirely on trust and working together—was never wrong or foolish at all. Even if outsiders judge us naive… I intend to prove Class B can rise all the way to Class A… without ever adopting the cruel methods born within that White Room!”
“Ichinose… you place far too much faith in hope alone,” Ryūji Kanzaki sighed, adjusting his glasses with a grave expression. “But after seeing how skillfully Ayanokōji manipulated Kikyō Kushida from the shadows… I understand now: unless we strengthen our defenses and sharpen our minds… everything we believe in will crumble away long before such ideals can ever take root. All we have learned from watching worlds beyond… must become our strongest shield.”
Kikyō Kushida had stood silent in the corner, head bowed low, gripping her uniform skirt until her knuckles shone pale white. Every dark part of her nature had been fully exposed… before everyone in this school… and before eyes across eight separate worlds. They all saw how I threatened Horikita… heard every word I spoke… Damn it! Damn it all! How dare that screen reveal everything about me?! she screamed silently within her mind, consumed by bitter hatred… while outwardly remaining frozen and motionless.
“Kushida‑san… every broadcast has now ended,” Suzune Horikita spoke, turning toward her—her tone no longer burning with anger, but firm and mature… shaped deeply by seeing how Natsuki Subaru learned to forgive those who had once harmed him. “The rest of the world has seen the worst we have within us. Now… the choice belongs entirely to you. Will you stay trapped in regret… or take this chance to change and grow… just as Lord Rudeus chose to do?”
“Do not lecture me, Horikita!” Kushida muttered faintly—too quiet for others nearby to catch clearly—yet she offered no further reply or argument.
“Fufu… truly a magnificent meeting of brilliant minds!” Miyabi Nagumo chuckled softly, stepping toward the center of the gymnasium with hands tucked casually inside his trouser pockets. “Kiyotaka Ayanokōji… you may well be the masterpiece crafted by the generation before ours… yet the system I have built here—where every person is judged solely on their true ability and worth—comes closest to the rules that govern the world of No Game No Life. Sora and Shiro rule through absolute genius. And within this senior class… I hold absolute authority. Knowing eight whole worlds are watching closely… waiting to see exactly how I shall bring you down in our next examination… I find myself standing upon the greatest stage any student council president could ever dream of!”
“Do whatever you wish, Nagumo‑senpai,” Ayanokōji replied—his tone utterly unchanged, flat and indifferent… brushing aside the challenge with his habitual, unshakeable detachment.
“You seniors speak far too much for your own good,” Kazuomi Hōsen stepped forward, baring his teeth with a wild, fierce look in his eyes. “Call him Nagumo… call him Ayanokōji… or call them monsters from distant lands… where I come from… raw strength always comes first! If walls between worlds truly crack open once this one‑hour pause runs out… they will learn fast: my fists are the first thing any arrogant mage or sorcerer shall ever meet!”
“Hōsen‑kun… please cast aside such rough ways,” Tsubasa Nanase shook her head, her gaze firm and reproachful. “We have seen Lord Yuji Itadori use his great power only to bear the burdens and pain of others. Uncontrolled brute strength… without discipline or heart… will only make us look like mindless beasts to those watching from seven other realms. We must stand tall… and show the dignity expected of every student at ANHS.”
“Nanase speaks rightly,” Manabu Horikita added, stepping alongside his younger sister—his commanding presence instantly silencing every student from first through third year out of deep respect. “These past three weeks gave us knowledge and insight far beyond anything written in our academy’s curriculum. We have seen the flaws in our own strategies… reflected clearly through eyes looking in from outside. Sae Chabashira‑sensei… what preparations have been made from the school’s side?”
Sae Chabashira—who had remained leaning quietly near the entrance—straightened fully at last. Her gaze swept across all twenty‑four carefully selected students… filled with a complex mix of pride and deep concern. “School authority holds no power over that screen in the sky, Horikita‑kun. Yet I can promise you this much: if every one of you retains perfect memory of all you have witnessed… then the balance of power within this academy has shifted completely. Relationships between classes… will never be the same again… now that truths about Ayanokōji and the White Room stand fully revealed.”
She glanced toward the large wall clock … its hands creeping steadily closer to the end of their hour.
"Time will soon run out." ”Kiyotaka Ayanokōji brought their discussion to a close. His unreadable eyes turned upward again… fixed upon the silver screen above… now beginning to sparkle and glow with fresh light. His analytical mind locked away every trace of emotion… leaving only pure calculation… ready to meet whatever came next. “Prepare yourselves well. A new protagonist shall soon be introduced. And everything we have learned… everything we remember… from all eight worlds we have seen… shall become our greatest weapon… as we seek to understand what destiny brings next.”
[The World of No Game No Life]
The sky above Elkia, capital city of Imanity—the sixteenth‑ranked and lowest race within the Disboard Exceed hierarchy—suddenly shed the heavy pressure that had weighed heavily upon the realm for three long weeks. The colossal silver screen hovering motionless high aloft had just finished its marathon broadcast, revealing the cold calculation of human potential and masterful psychological manipulation practiced by Kiyotaka Ayanokōji from Classroom of the Elite.
Yet that fleeting calm within the royal throne room of Elkia shattered instantly, as sharp silver script blazed across the heavens… laying bare a dimensional truth so profound it forced even the sharpest minds to recalculate everything they knew.
Within the great hall, silence settled so deep and heavy that even the softest breath drawn would have echoed like thunder.
“Eh…?”
Sora froze upon his magnificent throne. The game controller he always held slipped from his grasp, clattering loudly against polished marble flooring. His usual confident, mocking smile vanished completely, leaving him pale and shaken. His body trembled violently, sparking the same reaction in his younger sister Shiro—who instantly curled deep within his embrace, as if the very world around her were crumbling away.
“S‑Shiro… did you hear that…?” Sora whispered hoarsely. Eyes that always shone with brilliant insight now clouded over with deep‑buried scars of past isolation. “That screen… it didn’t only show how we claimed this throne or outwitted the Flügel… it revealed our past too. How we shut ourselves away… wept alone in corners because we could not bear to speak to others… how we were cast aside as useless outcasts back in our old world… And every single moment… seen and witnessed by seven entirely foreign worlds?!”
“Brother…” Shiro pressed her face tight against his chest, small hands clutching his “Imanity” t‑shirt until her knuckles turned white. “That bearer of curses… Yuji Itadori… Demon Lord Rimuru… and that cold monster Ayanokōji… they all saw… Shiro crying helplessly…? Saw how… how wretched Shiro truly is…?”
“W‑Wait please! Sora! Shiro! You must calm yourselves!” Stephanie Dola cried out in panic, seeing her brilliant sovereigns suddenly overwhelmed by sharp anxiety. Tears streamed down her cheeks—not from what the screen had said, but from seeing such pain in the two souls who had restored pride and hope to all Imanity. “I care nothing about where you came from… or how dark your past may have been! It showed your struggles at the start, yes—but it also proved to every realm out there how two ordinary humans with no magic at all… outwitted the very God of Games himself! You are our pride… and our greatest hope!”
“Steph speaks truly, nyan~,” added Hatsuse Izuna, representative of the Warbeast race, stepping forward with fox ears drooping gently in sympathy. She approached the throne slowly and carefully, so as not to startle the pair known as Blank. “Once Izuna thought you cheated… that you were cruel and cold… back in that virtual realm match. But seeing everything shown here… Izuna understands now: you wagered everything… fought with all your heart… pushing human limits to their very edge. Those watching far beyond our borders will never look down on you—they must tremble seeing the genius that dwells within Imanity, nyan!”
“Is it not wondrous? Why grieve over something so magnificent, my glorious Masters?” Jibril—the legendary Flügel—appeared stepping forth from shadow, radiant wings of light spreading softly behind her. Her cross‑shaped eyes gleamed bright with a mix of humbled reverence and fierce devotion. “That screen revealed plainly how I—an ultimate weapon forged by the Ancient Gods themselves—was brought low and bowed in submission… defeated by pure strategy… by minds that wielded no mana at all! If great mages from realms like Wistoria… or mighty dragons serving Lord Rimuru… now look upon us… they know this truth: here upon Disboard, the knowledge and logic belonging to Blank… stands supreme… surpassing even the strongest magic ever conceived!”
“Jibril… do not let your enthusiasm run wild—you only make them feel more burdened still,” Jellal, representative of the Elven Alliance, sighed softly though his gaze remained wide with awe… having watched his own world’s magical systems analyzed and dissected by master strategists from beyond reality itself.
“This… represents a tactical anomaly on a scale beyond measure,” Sora breathed deeply, slowly pushing old fears back down… letting the pure logic of Blank rise once more to take command. He held Shiro closer still, feeling her heartbeat steady against his own. “Listen closely, Shiro. That Ayanokōji we just watched… he treats people as mere pieces… tools to be measured for efficiency. But we… Blank never falls… because each of us fills exactly what the other lacks. Whether seven worlds laugh at our foolishness or watch in silence… the rules remain unchanged: The Ten Pledges stand absolute… and unbreakable.”
“Umu…” Shiro nodded softly against him, her jewel‑bright eyes once again glowing with sharp, piercing intelligence. “If they are watching… then they also know… Blank has never known defeat.”
“Exactly so!” Sora rose boldly from his throne—striking his signature dramatic pose. Though traces of tears still lingered, his familiar confident grin returned full and bright. “Lord Natsuki Subaru showed us how to rise again and again… even after death itself… just to claim victory. Lord Rudeus taught us how precious a second chance truly is. And now we—Blank—stand upon the grandest stage ever known across existence! If those seven worlds are watching closely right now… let us show mages, knights, monsters, and elite minds alike… exactly how two former losers can turn the whole game upside down… and defeat a God!”
The shadow of despair that briefly hung within Elkia’s throne room vanished instantly… replaced instead by sheer, calculated intensity—possible only within the two sharpest minds across all of Disboard.
“Shiro… let us sort through everything we have learned,” Sora rested one hand thoughtfully beneath his chin, eyes gleaming keenly as he gazed upward toward the glowing script high above. “We appear last. Eighth in order. That means one thing clearly: we hold more information than anyone else who came before us. We have seen Ayanokōji’s cold efficiency and mind‑games played without magic of any kind… Rudeus Greyrat’s mastery of spells cast without a single word… and the terrifying truth of Natsuki Subaru’s power to turn back time itself.”
“Umu…” Shiro tapped softly against her knee, gaze darting rapidly as if reading lines of invisible code only she could see. “World 1 – Wistoria… bound by rigid limits. World 2 – Silent Witch… calculations at lightning speed. World 3 – Slime… absolute anomaly. World 4 – Jujutsu… everything paid for with life itself. If barriers between worlds fall… Tet’s Ten Pledges… may not bind them at all.”
“Eh?! W‑Wait just a moment, Shiro‑chan!” Stephanie Dola pressed both hands to her head, dizzy and overwhelmed by such high‑level reasoning. “What do you mean the Ten Pledges might not apply?! Are those sacred laws set by Tet not absolute and binding upon everything here?!”
“Steph… you never change, do you? Always the simpler‑minded version of us,” Sora chuckled confidently, fully regaining his poise. “Those rules hold every race on Disboard in check… because Tet rules supreme here alone. But consider beings like Demon Lord Rimuru Tempest—master of space and time—or Gojo Satoru… who can fold endless distance however he pleases. If they step in from outside… our laws mean nothing to them. That is the worst‑case scenario in this game played across dimensions.”
“T‑Then… we are in terrible danger, nyan?!” Hatsuse Izuna pricked her ears straight up, tail twitching nervously behind her. “Imanity holds no magic power… if such beings come… we vanish instantly, nyan!”
“Not at all, Izuna‑tan,” Sora grinned broadly—that familiar triumphant smile which always sent chills down his enemies’ spines. “Precisely because we know exactly how they think… and exactly where they falter… we remain in control. That man Ayanokōji treats people like chess pieces? Too obsessed with cold efficiency—we could outmaneuver him psychologically in five moves flat. Rudeus Greyrat wields immense strength? Yet ruled entirely by love and family… an easy weakness to exploit when stakes are raised high.”
“And… Natsuki Subaru…” Shiro added softly yet with absolute precision. “His power… Return by Death. Truly terrifying… yet should he ever face us across a game board… we need only create a situation of total victory—where even rewinding time again and again… leaves his chance of success at zero percent forever.”
“Truly… my Masters are beyond compare!” Jibril sank reverently to her knees, wings of light trembling with boundless admiration. Tears of devotion streamed down her cheeks. “Knowing such mighty civilizations exist beyond our skies… ah! My ancient Flügel thirst for knowledge burns brighter than ever! When the time comes… let me be your very first pawn… to dismantle the minds of mages from the Magic Tower… or wrest every secret away from that Silent Witch herself!”
“Jibril… set aside those slightly unhinged ambitions for now,” Sora waved her off casually, then turned his gaze toward tall palace windows framing the sprawling city below. “This one‑hour pause granted by the silver screen is nearly done. Energy surging high above tells us this long journey is about to reach its conclusion… or perhaps step into a whole new chapter.”
“Sora… Shiro…” Steph looked upon them both—her eyes now filled with deepest respect. “You really aren’t afraid… are you? Even though the whole universe saw every weakness you once had…”
“We were terrified out of our wits, Steph. Back in our old life… we were good‑for‑nothing outcasts,” Sora answered honestly… yet stepped forward boldly, arm resting firmly around his sister’s shoulder as they stood tall before the throne. “But here… standing together with Shiro… and carrying everything learned from eight worlds safe within our minds… we know one truth: Blank never loses. Let gods, monsters, and sorcerers from every corner of existence watch from their lofty seats!”
Shiro lifted her small hand… forming that familiar peace sign alongside her brother’s… directed straight toward the heavens as silver light flared bright one last time above them.
“Because… wherever it may be… Blank never loses. And whatever comes next… our next game… begins now.”
