I fear that this may be one of my OTPs now. They’re so cute together.

I hope you enjoy reading!

Work Text:

EJ sat on the edge of Jax’s bed, his legs swinging as he waited for his girlfriend to step out of her closet - which Caine had added to all of the circus members’ rooms to allow them to change their clothes easily.

EJ had been very supportive of Jax from the moment she came out to him. He himself was transmasc, and he knew that just a little bit of support could go a long way. He wanted Jax to feel safe with him.

The door opened, and EJ’s ear twitched as he saw Jax in her new clothes. She was wearing overalls much like her old ones, but with a skirt instead of pants. She also had on a red shirt, a necklace with a daisy pendant, and a pink bow on her ear. She looked beautiful.

Jax looked a lot more nervous than usual. She had started wearing eyeliner and more feminine things a while ago, sure, but she’d never worn so many feminine things all at once.

She looked up at her boyfriend, her grin softer than usual. “So…. How do I look?” she asked, her voice cracking just a little bit. Caine had made a ‘mod’ of sorts that would collect data on her voice and slowly feminize it over time, and it was just starting to become audible. It made her heart flutter in her chest.

EJ gave her a small smile, standing up and walking over to the other rabbit. “You…. You look lovely….” he replied with an awed tone of voice. He tilted his head as he saw how happy Jax looked. “H-how are you feeling?”

Jax looked herself over, and her tail gave a little wag. She truly loved how this looked on her. On her….. On a girl.

“I’m feeling pretty good.” she finally spoke up, looking up at EJ. She hesitated, before giving him a slightly shy grin. “I know you’re probably gonna call me a softie, but…. Could I have a hug? I mean… you encouraged me to try these on in the first place when I was unsure about it.”

EJ nodded, pulling Jax into a soft embrace. He could feel the way the clothes fit Jax, in a way that felt extremely right. He was so glad she had found herself. “I won’t call you a softie. Besides, you know I love hugs.”

Jax rested her head on EJ’s shoulder, nuzzling against his neck as she allowed herself to be vulnerable and soft. It…. felt nice. They continued to hold each other, not needing words for the moment. This was enough.
