Work Text:
Your soothing soft voice
in my ear as I rest my eyes
On the toher side of the couch. You hoist
me up; the stormy gray skies
in your eyes latch onto me.
You think I’m asleep, and I would have been had you kept
reading to me in that sickenly-sweet voice dripping with honey.
Your arms around my waist, holding me up against you. I swear this could have been the best I’ve ever slept.
in a good, long, while.
You lay me down in my bed, and I already miss your body heat.
I can’t stop myself from acting like a child
and stoping your retreat.
Your eyes meet mine, gaze briefly falling to where I hold you wrist,
And I know that there’s no chance that you’ll resist.
