   Summary

   From the red ribbon of DMD Friendship to the final stage of Khemjira, Keng and Namping learn that chemistry is easy to perform but terrifying to protect. Keng keeps stumbling into trouble, Namping keeps saving him, and somewhere between viral staring games, backstage tears, fandom attacks and late night apologies, the thing between them stops being fan service and becomes something neither of them wants to lose.

   Author’s Note
   I started writing this last year after Khemjira, but paused because I wanted to understand KengNamping’s dynamic better before finishing it. This is my first KengNamping fic, so I really tried to write them with care and capture that softness and quiet support they have.
   The fic also did a complete pivot in the last few chapters after the new DMD lineup, so the ending changed a lot from what I first planned.
