Summary
Just A Phone Call Away follows Grace and Leon after the Ark Incident, when Leon gives Grace his number and tells her, “I’m just a phone call away.” What begins as one nervous call turns into a weekly ritual, slowly building trust, comfort, and emotional intimacy between them.
Through their phone calls, Grace starts to feel less alone, while Leon finds himself unexpectedly waiting for her voice. They talk about ordinary things, trauma, Emily, bad days, and quiet fears, until their friendship becomes something deeper neither of them is ready to name. It is a soft, slow-burn short fic about healing, connection, and two guarded people becoming each other’s safest call.
