    It was enough to drive a person mad when they realized that only a year and a half had passed. Eighteen fucking months since the day the sky over Japan turned red, the UA crumbled to dust, and the villains definitively took over the world. In the context of a human lifetime, it was a ridiculously short time. But in this underground hell, time wasn’t measured in days, but in spilled blood and inflicted trauma. In those eighteen months, they’d aged by decades. Izuku’s lush green hair had thinned and turned gray with horror, and all that remained of Katsuki’s pride was this disfigured, humiliating hairstyle and the scars that the rich people in the audience loved to gawk at.

    They had changed beyond recognition, to the point where they no longer knew if anything of their former selves remained within them at all.
