Summary
""Hi, sexy! Can I buy you a drink?"
The most beautiful woman Cath York has ever seen stands awkwardly at the bar, looking like she'd rather be anywhere else on earth than here.
Cath has a mind to change her opinion on that, if she can get her bloody attention.
"Sorry?" The woman finally turns towards Cath's voice. Cath has to crane her head up to see her eyes.
God, she wants to climb her like a fucking tree.
"Oh, did you not realise I meant you?" Cath raises an eyebrow, letting her gaze linger on mystery-woman ('Sexy,' she nicknames her, her initial instincts are always correct about these things)'s broad shoulders and furrowed brow.
"Can't say I get called that a lot, no," the woman shakes her head, chuckling to herself.
"What do they usually call you then?" Cath winks.
"Dulcie," the woman— Dulcie— smiles, extending a hand.
"I'm Cath," Cath responds in kind, squeezing Dulcie's hand firmly."
dulcie/cath origin story!
title from joni mitchell's "both sides now" (bc clouds get it, lesbians are horny for the weather)
