We are excited to be hosting the new #GothamEarthConvention to promote environmentalist policy and research. The conference begins later this week and we are hosting it in partnership with @GothamUniversity and @WayneEarth.

Come down to our Adoption Fair hosted by @GothamAnimalWelfareSociety! Help give animals a home. We have many kittens and puppies at the adoption fair set up at GothamU, though the SPCA also has many older cats and dogs in need of a home (link to more info) #GothamEarthConvention

We’re happy to announce that our adoption fair today was a huge success, with hundreds of cats and dogs finding new homes! All of our kittens and puppies found new homes and half of our older pets found new homes as well! #GothamEarthConvention

Father was not convinced that we should adopt more cats. All of the kittens and puppies found new homes by the end of the adoption fair; I planned to sneak home any that were not adopted today, so my father is probably glad they were all adopted. I am glad all of the baby animals have new homes. There are still many older animals in need of homes. I have talked to @GothamAnimalWelfareSociety and plan to volunteer as a dogwalker and to post about the animals here, to help spotlight them to try and find them new homes.

Thanks to Dr. Shannon Green, Professor of Environmental Science at GothamU, for the welcome address! Dr. Green’s research focus is on tracking air pollutants and carbon emissions.

We’re excited about today’s Junior Environmental Science Fair, for middle and high school students. All projects are related to environmental issues. Spots were awarded to students from schools in Gotham and Bludhaven, and then for top performers in the state of New Jersey and nearby regions of New York and Pennsylvania. Award Categories include Water, Botany & Ecosystems, Electricity & Energy, Air Quality, Engineering, and Recycling & Plastics. Cash prizes are being provided by @WayneEarth. #GothamEarthConvention

Our Sponsor’s Luncheon, an invite-only event hosted by @BruceWayneOfficial at the Ritz Carlton, brings together environmental researchers with sponsors who are committed to environmentalism and have the resources to bring about real change. #GothamEarthConvention

Our Junior Environmental Science Fair is being judged by many people, including many professors from @GothamU! Meet a few of our judges:
-Dr. Shannon Green: Environmental Scientist (research focus: air pollution and carbon emissions)
-Dr. Michael Carr: Environmental Engineer (Civil & Environmental engineer, focus on Watersheds)
-Dr. Carter Hayes: Electrical Engineer (research focus: Renewable Energy)
-Dr. Bailey Robinson: Biochemist (Researches microbiological and chemical influences in soil and waterways, and how that impacts overall ecosystems)

I’ve been walking around talking to students about their projects all day, nice to meet so many bright young individuals who are interested in improving the world around us!
