Work Text:
“Chingching!” Saint calls out when he spots her among the other children.
“P’Saint! You’re here!”
Saint holds out his arms as Chingching runs into them, pulling her up and spinning her around.
“Where’s P’Shin?” The little girl asks, eyes searching nearby for her older brother.
“He’s at a meeting for his football, so he told me to pick you up. But don’t worry,” Saint says as he catches the pout forming on her face, “he’ll meet us at home later!”
“Okay,” Chingching suddenly smiles, her eyes puppy-like. Saint can’t help but melt.
“Can we have some ice cream? Oh, and sushi too? Please P’Saint?”
“Alright. But only a little bit. Just don’t tell your brother I let you have some!” Saint winks.
Chingching takes out hand, pointing her pinky finger out.
“Okay, promise, P’Saint!”
Saint chuckles before holding his own pinky out, twisting it with Chingching’s.
When they finally reach home, stomachs fuller than anticipated, Shin still hasn’t arrived.
Saint lifts Chingching off his motorbike, letting Chingching run off into the house.
Saint takes out his phone, pouting as he spots a message from Shin.
shin: the meeting will go on for another half hour
saint: damn :(
shin: there’s rice and pork that mae left in the fridge if you and chingching are hungry
saint: ok don’t leave your sister waiting
saint: she keeps asking me about you
shin: yeah yeah I think someone else is expecting me more though
shin: ;)
saint: wait what?!
saint: who am i fighting??? >:(
shin: …
shin: nvm
shin: it’s just 30 minutes, you’ll survive. i’ll be home soon ok!!
“P’Saint, are you coming in?” He looks up from his screen, seeing Chingching poke her head out from the door.
“Coming!”
He follows her inside after sending his last reply to Shin.
saint: see u soon!!! chingching and I will be on our best behaviour 0:)
shin: sure
“Your P’Shin will be here soon, we have to look good in front of him, okay? Do you have any homework?”
Chingching’s face lights up.
“I don’t! I finished it all quickly yesterday! Wait, P’Saint, look what I got from school!” Saint follows her up the stairs as she rushes to grab something from her room - her backpack.
She unzips it, taking out a colourful sheet, waving it in front of Saint.
“What are those?” Saint asks, pretending to be curious, though he already has an idea of what they are.
“Stickers! Teacher gave me a prize for finishing all my homework early!”
“Ooh they look so cute and shiny!” Saint comments, taking the stickers out of their packaging.
“Can I have one?” He jokes.
“Sure, P’Saint!” ChingChing grins. “Can I choose one for you?”
“Of course!”
ChingChing thinks for a moment, fingers hovering over a few briefly before peeling one off - a blue heart.
Saint holds out his hand, but she moves closer to him.
“Can I put it on your face?”
Saint chuckles. “Okay, if you want.”
Chingching’s face beams as Saint crouches down to her height, before she places it on his cheek.
“Wait, we need another one on the other side to match.”
“Okay, Chingching.”
Chingching picks out another sticker, a pink heart this time, placing it on his other cheek.
“You look cool P’Saint!”
“Do I?” Saint raises his eyebrows, amused.
Chingching looks at her other stickers, then looks back at Saint’s face.
She lets out a giggle.
Oh no.
Saint doesn’t like where this is going.
“Chingching…what are you thinking?”
Shin’s sister grins, gazing up at him innocently.
“P’Saint, can I put some more stickers on you?”
Saint gulps.
“Huh, but don’t you want to save them for later?”
The little girl pouts. “But I want to use them now…”
Saint smiles nervously, before finally giving her a response, “…fine.”
Shin enters his home, closing the door behind him.
He hears Chingching’s giggles.
What are they up to now?
He narrows his eyes before slowly ascending the stairs.
“What’s going on-”
He drops the bag he’s holding as he catches sight of Saint crossed-legged on the floor.
Huh…what the hell?
This isn’t the Saint he’s used to.
Saint doesn’t usually have bright stickers of different sizes all over his face and hair.
Shin’s hand comes up to cover his mouth as a chuckle leaves his lips.
Saint pouts up at him, pointing a finger at him.
“Hey! Don’t laugh!”
His sister turns around, eyes brightening as she spots him. She skips up to him, as he gathers her in his arms for a hug.
“P’Shin, you’re back!”
“Chingching- what-” Shin is still laughing, looking back and forth between Saint and his sister, “what did you do to him?”
Chingching grins, looking back at her ‘art’.
“I wanted to decorate P’Saint! Doesn’t he look cool?”
“Oh yes-” Shin smirks at Saint, “very cool”.
Saint glares up at him.
“I’m not done yet!” Chingching grabs Shin’s hand, pulling him towards Saint. “Do you want to help me, P’Shin?”
Saint’s eyes widen in horror and he shakes his head, trying to gesture to Shin with his hand while Chingching is still turned away.
But then Shin grins at his sister before looking at Saint, wriggling his eyebrows.
“Of course.”
The two admire their work while Saint glares at Shin when Chingching isn’t looking at him.
“Let’s take a selfie!” Shin suggests before Chingching giggles and they pose on each side of Saint snapping a few photos on Shin’s phone.
“I hate you.” Saint complains under his breath so only Shin can hear.
Shin pretends to ignore his remark, turning his attention to Chingching.
“Chingching it’s getting late, mae will be home soon. Can you go get the food out of the fridge? I’ll come out soon to help you.”
“Okay, P’Shin!” Chingching leaves the area, running down their stairs.
“Don’t run too fast!” He watches her until the last step before turning his attention back to Saint, whose arms are crossed.
“Shin!” Saint whines once they’re left alone, “I can’t believe you would do this to me!”
Shin blinks innocently. “Aow, I think you look very cute though! Way less intimidating than Tsunami!”
“Bastard!”
Saint winces as he begins taking off the stickers, struggling to peel them off.
“Silly puppy. How did you even let my sister do this to you?”
“She asked and how could I say no? But hey,” Saint sulks as he points a finger at him, “you also joined in, traitor!”
Shin just shrugs, trying not to laugh at Saint’s reaction.
“Well, I couldn’t say no to my own sister. So let me help you remove them now!”
Before he can touch a sticker, Saint swats his hand away, crossing his arms again.
Shin rolls his eyes.
“Saint. Come on.”
He can see the other man pretending not to listen.
“Fine, I’ll go help Chingching with the food now.”
He begins to stand before he feels a firm grip around his arm.
“Wait, fine! Help me remove them!”
Shin sits back down in front of Saint, crossing his legs.
He begins to slowly take some off, making sure to pause whenever Saint shows his discomfort.
“Hey, you’ve had worse pain.”
“Shut up, you-”, Saint protests, though is interrupted when Shin pulls off another sticker. “Ow, jerk!”
“I saw the packaging from the icecream stall in the bin, by the way.” Shin utters as he takes off another sticker. “I think I saw something from that sushi place too, right?”
Saint winces again, maybe from both Shin’s words and from the sticker being removed.
“Ow- I swear I didn’t get her anything much! Hey, not too fast-“
Shin frowns when he sees the mark on Saint’s cheek.
“Oh, it’s red...”
“Yeah, obviously!” Saint hisses as he rubs the area, trying to soothe it, “If you came back on time, then maybe we’d be playing something else with Chingching, and I wouldn’t have these all over-”
Saint doesn’t get time to register that Shin is nudging his hand away, before he suddenly feels lips on the aching spot.
“…me.”
He turns his head slowly, meeting Shin’s raised eyebrows.
“Better?” Shin asks.
His hand touches the spot Shin just kissed, his mouth slightly open in his shock.
“Huh…yeah,” he finally responds, a shy smile appearing on his face as his other hand slides behind his head, “that- that was nice.”
Shin smirks. They’ve been together for almost two years now, but it never gets old making Saint flustered, knowing only he can do that.
Then, Saint starts to giggle. “So…can you do this for every sticker you take off?”
Shin sighs.
He’s already regretting doing this.
(But not really.)
“Idiot.” Shin mutters, but follows Saint’s request anyway, giving him a peck for every sticker he removes - on his cheeks, temple, jawline - while Saint continues to giggle after each kiss.
Shin can’t help but grin after each kiss too.
Finally, Shin has removed all of the stickers.
But Saint has an idea.
“Wait, there’s still one more you need to take off.”
“Huh?” He melts as Shin cups his face in his hands, eyes furrowing as he searches for anything he’s missed.
Cute.
His eyes focus on Shin’s confused expressions, taking time to appreciate his face, before suddenly remembering his little plan.
Saint slides his hand for the sticker sheet, grabs a remaining sticker, and places it on his lips.
“Hmm.” He gestures with his finger, winking at Shin.
Shin sighs.
But he peels it off anyway.
Saint grins expecting something else afterwards, but Shin just stares at him.
Wait, that’s not how it’s supposed to go!
He frowns.
“What, no kiss?”
Shin shrugs. “You’re not complaining about the pain.”
Oh…right!
“Ow, ah- it hurts more than the others! Shin, please, make it feel better!”
Shin rolls his eyes seeing Saint’s exaggerated pout.
“…idiot.”
Shin gives him a quick kiss anyway, muttering something like “opportunistic bastard”, Saint chuckling at the slight flush of Shin’s ears.
They startle at the sound of footsteps. Chingching walks in.
“What’s taking so long P’Shin? I already got the food out,” Chingching spots Saint, pouting at his now-bare face, “oh, you removed them.”
“We can stick more stickers on him another time, Chingching.”
Saint turns to Shin, gasping.
“Hey I didn’t agr-“
“Promise, P’Shin and P’Saint?”
He doesn’t have the heart to finish the sentence when he sees Chingching’s gleaming eyes.
Shin has his eyebrows raised in expectation.
“Ah…fine, next time we can do it again.” Saint mutters, holding out his pinky finger.
…only because it’s you two.
“Yay!” Chingching jumps up in excitement before running to intertwine her finger with Saint’s, her other pinky twisting with Shin’s.
“And Shin can help me remove them next time.” He winks at Shin, who rolls his eyes in response.
“Of course.”
