Wine froze, and his fists closed on instinct. He recognised that voice from his best dreams and worst nightmares. He turned to look at P’Faifa who was already looking at the other man, which sucked, because he desperately needed his steadying presence right now. He followed suit, hoping he was wrong, that he had misheard somehow, like it was one of those days before he started uni where he couldn’t get his thoughts together, and he could make it go away with a little bit of effort. But the universe clearly was not on his side.

She followed his eye line, “Can you see him again? Is P'Home here?"

Peach is waiting in the hospital and he sees Home again. It scares the shit out of him because all he wants to do right now is to have a screaming match with him. But he can't hear ghosts- or whatever Home is right now.

Summary
5 Times Merlin disguised himself. And 1 time he stops hiding
Alternatively:
When Gwaine finds out about Merlin’s magic, he convinces Merlin to use it for funs sake.
He learned of the Dolma and Dragoon and immediately makes Merlin come up with new diguises.
And he does it, so Merlin can hear how Arthur talks about Merlin behind his back.
Which is surprisingly positive. And partly embarrassing, but Arthur doesn’t even notice how obviously he’s pining.
Merlin, however, sees it for the first time from the eyes of a maid, a knight, a royal, a stable boy, a barkeeper etc.
Surprisingly enough, Gwaine doesn’t even ask Merlin to prank Arthur. He just makes him listen.
And that’s how bitter and depressed season 5 Merlin gets healed from his paranoia and self depreciation.
