There once was a very happy couple in the kingdom of Eden, King Edgar and Queen Rosaline. Then one day, Queen Rosaline fell ill with an unknown yet incurable sickness. Well, mostly incurable, save for a special flower. This flower was special because it was made from a drop of the sun and had the power to heal anyone. The king ordered his guards to go and find the flower, which they did, and then Queen Rosaline was healed. But little did everyone know that a sorceress, Eva Stratt, was secretly using the flower to stay young and healthy forever. She would go up to the flower, sing a little ditty, and boom, she's young again. Creepy.
Back to the king and queen, they had a beautiful baby girl whom they named Aurora. She had healthy, thick blonde hair and deep blue eyes. To celebrate their daughter's birth, Rosaline and Edgar released lanterns into the sky. Except one night, while Aurora was sleeping in the nursery and her parents were asleep in the next room, Eva Stratt snuck in and cut off a small bit of the princess's hair. She dropped it in shock as the strand quickly turned dark and dead. Acting rashly, she grabbed the baby from her crib and snuck her out of the palace.
Over in the parents' room, Rosaline sensed something was wrong, so she quickly woke up Edgar. When the two finally got into Aurora's room with a few guards, Eva was already on the windowsill and made a break for the woods.
The sorceress came to a tower, hidden in the woods, and snuck Aurora inside using a secret passageway. Thankfully for Eva, she wasn't followed to her secret tower. So, that's where Aurora stayed for the first 19 years of her life.
Cut to three men running across a rooftop. One of the men, Simon, wore a satchel around him and was followed by two goons, Felix and Jack. The three came to a stop on a section of the castle's roof and peered inside the room after opening the sun latch. There sat the lost princess's crown on a light green pillow, uncovered yet surrounded by guards.
Once the rope was tied to Simon's waist, Felix lowered him down into the room while Jack stood watch. In the room, a guard sneezed. Simon responded, "Hay fever?" The guard agreed, and then when he turned around, Simon was already out, and the three thieves were running away.
The captain of the guard led the chase for the three on his horse, Adrian. The thieves made it to a wall, about to be cornered and caught, when Jack suggested they lift each other over the wall. Simon suggested going first; Felix wanted to hold the satchel for safekeeping. Simon got over the wall and, satchel in hand, ran off, leaving his goons to be captured.
