Trapped in a Rabbit Cage

Summary:

“Don’t bother trying to get out.” Judelow cautioned, looking back at Sharpness through the corners of his eyes. “You won’t get far.”

The room’s suffocating silence gets replaced with the metal door being slammed shut, as well as the heavy breathing leaving Sharpness' lips in response to the purple rabbit’s warning.

While trying to flee from the rage of Wemmbu after getting his mace stolen through a clever pot trick, Sharpness stumbles upon a cave to go into hiding. As he attempts to find a way out, he falls into a trap and finds himself imprisoned in the Dripstone Caves. Unfortunately for him, the leader of the kingdom seemed to have taken quite the liking to the blonde-haired warrior.

Based on Wemmbu's video "I Explored Beyond the Minecraft Farlands" but in Sharpness' POV!

Notes:

hello! thanks for taking the time to read this fan fiction of mine. i haven't written in a long time, probably 2-3 years or so, so i hope you enjoy this fan fiction. a couple of key notes i would like for you to know before reading:

- i am actually studying and working in research, law, and policy, so i do not have a lot of time on my hands. regardless, i'll try my best to keep writing. please forgive me if there are no new chapters for a while!
- as the bio says, this is based on Wemmbu's video "I Explored Beyond the Minecraft Farlands," notably the gap before Wemmbu meets Sharpness in the Farlands and right after his mace gets stolen by Sharp. please for the purpose of the plot, disregard the fact that Sharp used a stasis!
- Jude might become out of character along the way. while i try my best to keep them in character, this fic is kind of a dark fiction so it'll be difficult. but i'll try my best! :]
- edit (7/4/2026): i've decided to change up jude's design and make him based on the designs of Sharpness and Jude from 27yen_ on twitter. changes in the text for chapter 1 have been made alongside the other chapters. please check them out, their art is amazing and their designs for sharpness and jude are my favorite ones so far!
sorry for the abrupt change, i wanted to first ask if the artist was comfortable with their art referenced!

thank you again for reading all of this and i hope you enjoy reading!

Chapter 1: The Fall

Chapter Text

Sharpness’ laughs could probably reach spawn with how loud they were. He soared through the skies with his elytra, passing by multiple biomes with clouds just above him. The wind hit his face, and while at this speed it would usually hurt to have his eyes open, the adrenaline in his veins numbed the pain. Behind him, he could hear Wemmbu’s furious demands to give his mace back. Sharpness only turned his head back to him and shot him a taunting gaze, grinning at Wemmbu’s menacing glare.

Earlier, Sharpness managed to use a clever trick to get Wemmbu to drop his beloved mace — Crucible. Using a flower pot, it forced Wemmbu to accidentally drop his mace and land right in Sharpness’ hands. Now, he was being hunted down by one of Unstable SMP’s scariest players. Regardless, instead of fear, he felt excitement.

He propelled himself forward, looking around to find a spot to hide. HIs eyes glittered at the sight of a cave hidden within a thick forest. He quickly dived down, careful not to hit any trees or leaves to not lose speed, before landing at the entrance of the cave. He hid in the shadows, waiting to hear Wemmbu’s frustrated cries as he failed to find him. Faintly, he heard the sweet melody that was Wemmbu’s frustration. He let out a giggle and walked towards the cave. To make sure Wemmbu did not find him again, he explored through the cave to find another entrance and escape through there.

Sharpness ignited a torch so he could see where he was going, being careful of the dripstone spikes that laid around him. The cave was big, with dripstone spikes scattered across the rough terrain. If Sharpness was not careful, he could find himself victim to the sharp spikes. As he continued forward, he finally spotted what he was looking for. In the distance, he saw a beam of light. It contrasted heavily with the dark, gloomy terrain around him. With a smile and adrenaline at its peak, he walked towards the light.

But much to his dismay, instead of light, he found himself falling through the ground, sounds of pistons echoing in his ears before his vision turned black.

Sharpness opened his eyes with a mumbled groan, blurred vision engulfing his sight at first. Faintly, he heard people conversing behind the ringing of his ears. As he regained his vision, he immediately noticed the drastic change in scenery. He slowly pushed himself up from the bed that he was laying on and looked around. Below his feet were stone bricks, with dirt and grass sticking out as if nature was attempting to reclaim its land. Above were dripstone spikes dangling from the ceiling, with a lone dim lantern in the middle. Most importantly, Sharpness noticed the thick iron bars separating him from the crowd of people outside.

Among the crowd of people, a man with black hair and illuminating purple eyes met Sharpness’ emerald ones. The man wore a black shirt, with a yellow jumpsuit covering only his legs and the top of it resting neatly against his hips. Alongside that, he had jet black hair and a red headset on. With a deep voice, he suddenly spoke. “He’s awake.

The room fell silent upon hearing the black-haired man speak. The crowd of people have suddenly lost interest in whatever conversation they were having prior, and instead their interest fell onto Sharpness. Sharpness analysed all their faces individually, trying to understand what their intentions were, as well as trying to figure out if he knows who any of them are. Unfortunately, it did not seem like he did.

“Who are you guys?” Sharpness asked as he stepped back cautiously. He instinctively reached for his sword that normally laid against his hip, but it wasn’t there. In fact, he had nothing on him, including the mace he stole from Wemmbu prior.

“We should be asking you that. Who are you and who sent you here?” The man in yellow from earlier asked, a suspicious look on his face.

“I asked first.” Sharpness scoffed in response, his eyebrows furrowed.

The man in yellow opened his mouth to speak, but was quickly hushed when a voice erupted amongst the crowd. It was softer than the man in yellow, but a bit louder. “Do you genuinely believe you have any right to demand answers right now?”

Sharpness immediately noticed how the people outside these bars tensed up, almost as if they were turned to stone. Sharpness’ eyes followed the source of the voice, landing on a man with violet hair and piercing magenta eyes, similar to that of Fuchsia flowers.

Amidst the darkness, the dim lantern in his prison cell managed to light up just enough to see what this man looked like from the front. His outfit was akin to a purple canvas with splotches of black as accents—he had a long short-sleeved purple blazer, faint light lines trailing from the hem to the top, wrapped with two black belts that emphasise his waist. On the man's right, a singular black ruffled sleeve stood erect. Placed delicately on his collar sat a red, puffy bow, a pink gemstone dangling in the middle. Below his lower half consisted of dull, gray toned blue wide-leg jeans, his leggings subtly peeking through his black boots. Darting his eyes upwards once again, Sharpness noticed his metallic white arms, bright pink lines flowing from his hands and disappearing into the crevices of his blazer. Finally, sitting on top of his indigo locks was a purple hat, purple rabbit ears perched up right above it. Just below the ears involved goggles that rested neatly on top of the hat, which uniquely had spiky metal engraved on the edge of the hat, resembling a bear trap.

Sharpness cleared his throat before speaking, “I don’t know man! I was just exploring this cave and I fell into a… trap? I think? I swear I don’t know anything!”

The man in purple crossed his arms, unconvinced of Sharpness’ answer. His face twisted from suspicion to boredom, before he turned around to face the crowd of people. As he turned, Sharpness’ eyes locked onto his purple bunny tail. Guess those ears were real after all.

“Parker, organise the scouts to find any information on this guy.” The man in purple decreed. Parker — the man in yellow from earlier — nodded and rushed away. Still facing away from Sharpness, he tilted his head to the side to meet the blonde’s eyes. Through his violet strands of hair, Sharpness could see his magenta eyes glisten in the dark. Then, he started walking away too. The crowd of people began following him. Sharpness attempted to lunge forward, wanting to get more information. But it was no use, for the iron bars separated him from the crowd.

“Wait! You haven’t told me who you are!” Sharpness yelled, but his words fell to deaf ears. Frustrated, he kicked the tiny rocks on the ground and watched as they smashed into the wall. He sat down on his creaky bed, letting out an exhausted sigh as he attempted to think of a way to escape, and also get Crucible back.

Despite being at the head of the table, Judelow looked like he could fall asleep any second. The only thing that kept him awake were the loud bickering of his advisors. Judelow’s deadpanned expression seemed to have caught Parker's attention, who kicked his leg under the table to motion him to start talking. Judelow shot him a glare in response.

“Quit arguing, all of you. Parker already told the scouts to go investigate. This meeting is adjourned.” Judelow stood up, tired of this nonsense. Judelow was the leader of a kingdom that specialised in traps. Located at the heart of a gigantic dripstone cave, the kingdom was known and feared across the server due to how dangerous their traps are. The server was littered with their traps, and it was a common occurrence for innocent, oblivious players to fall victim to them. Despite this, the kingdom’s location remained widely unknown by the public, and very rarely did intruders stumble across their abode. In addition, very rarely did intruders get to live to tell the tale in general. Despite Judelow being the leader of the civilisation, he hated participating in these trivial matters. Usually Parker — his senior advisor — dealt with all of this while Judelow worked on his traps. However, with the sudden appearance of a possible blonde-haired intruder, now Judelow has to be part of the discussion too.

“But Jude—” One of the other advisors attempted to protest, but Judelow was already out the door, with Parker right behind him. Judelow could feel a headache creeping in as he heard muffled chatter behind the door.

As they walked across the stone halls, dripstone etched into the walls, Judelow’s steps halted at the front of the prison.

“Go check on the guards. I need to check something.” Judelow said ominously. Parker had grown used to stop asking questions when it came to Judelow’s insatiable curiosity and just did what he was told.

Judelow is half-rabbit, thus he has inherited certain traits from the race. Notably, his superior hearing. So when he heard what seemed to be blocks breaking, Judelow was curious at what it was. He walked carefully and attempted to make as little noise as possible to not disturb the source. What he saw in front of him though resulted in Judelow letting out an amused chuckle. His new prisoner was attempting to break the floor beneath him with just his bare hands. Judelow’s smile of mirth mocked the alert, cautious face on his blonde-haired prisoner, who stared at him with a disgruntled scowl.

“What do you want?” The prisoner barked. Underneath that bratty voice was an accent, which Judelow found intriguing. Something about his expressions made Jude entranced, wanting to see more.

“Do you need help with that?” Judelow asked with a cunning smirk. Before the blonde could even answer, Judelow placed a pressure plate below his feet and watched as the floor disappeared under the prisoner. The screams the latter let out sounded melodic to Judelow’s ears, sounding much nicer than the random, innocent people the purple rabbit has trapped in the past.

“You bitch! Let me out of here!” The prisoner commanded, anger seeping through his voice. Judelow laughed at the sound of this. His favorite part of traps were always when the victims fell right in the trap, however he especially liked the sound of this one.

Judelow unlocked the prison door before stepping in, looking down at the prisoner. Surrounding the blonde were thick layers of obsidian, making it extremely difficult to get out. From above, Judelow studied his physique. He had hair that reminded Judelow of honey, and eyes that reminded him of emeralds. If not for the rotten distaste all across his face, Judelow would consider this man pleasing to look at.

“Tell me who you are and I’ll let you out.” Judelow demanded, his cheeky smile not leaving his face.

“Fuck you, bitch!” The trapped blonde-haired man fumed, but Judelow only found his efforts of intimidation entertaining.

“Don’t forget you’re the prisoner here, not me.” Judelow smirked, with an expression similar to a predator taunting its prey. “Are you sure you want to be talking like that to me?”

The blonde goes quiet, seemingly thinking. Judelow, growing impatient, sighed and pretended to walk away. However, as if on cue, the latter yelled for him to come back.

“Wait!” The man cried. “Sharpness. Call me Sharpness.”

“Sharpness…” The name rolled perfectly across Judelow’s tongue. He walked back to Sharpness, looking down at him with an amused, yet curious look. “And what are you doing here, Sharpness?”

“I already told you; I don’t know how I got here! I just fell into a trap and woke up here.” Sharpness urged in a cry. “Now it’s your turn! Who are you?”

“Me?” Judelow remarked in amusement. “I lead this kingdom, Sharpness.”

“Kingdom?” The face on his blonde-haired prisoner turned from fury to confusion. “Okay, but that doesn’t answer my question though.”

“You can call me Jude.” Judelow clarified as he placed another pressure plate down, launching Sharpness back up with wind charges. Sharpness yelped in surprise before wincing in pain as he landed on the hard stone floor on his back. Judelow snickered at the sight of his pain.

“Not funny.” Sharpness’ eyebrows furrowed as his lips formed a pout. Judelow found it adorable. Actually, Judelow found his agony in general adorable. “Now I’ve told you who I am, so let me out of here!”

Judelow ignored his plea, walking out of the prison cell and locking the heavy metal door behind him. The chimes of metal clanking against each other echoed throughout the grand hall of prison cells. Tauntingly, Judelow swung the prison keys around his finger at an angle he knew Sharpness could see before walking out of the dungeon. The cries and protest of Sharpness only served as background noise for him.
