Chapter Text

The Kim Estate stood like a kingdom carved from marble and glass. It was surrounded by tall iron gates fitted with sharp spikes along the top, and guarded around the clock by men in crisp uniforms who answered only to the head of the household. Beyond those heavy gates lay every luxury that money could possibly buy. There were sprawling gardens, carefully tended by dozens of skilled gardeners who made sure every flower bloomed perfectly and every tree stood tall. Inside the main house, rooms were filled with rare works of art and furniture that had been crafted with great care and expense. The kitchen was large enough to prepare dishes from every corner of the world, and there was so much space within the walls that it could easily hold the population of a small village.
But for Mingi, the youngest child of the family, this grand home felt far more like a gilded cage than a place of comfort and freedom.
His father, Hongjoong, was an alpha of great stature and influence. He had built a massive business empire that stretched across many different industries, from advanced technology to prime real estate, and his name brought both deep respect and quiet fear across the entire country. With sharp eyes and a determined mind, he had worked his way up from nothing to build his fortune, and he was fiercely dedicated to protecting everything and everyone that belonged to him. Standing beside him was his mate, Seonghwa, an omega whose beauty and grace were only matched by his own strong will. Though he was often seen as the softer, gentler presence in the house, Seonghwa was just as unyielding when it came to his family. His calm and gentle manner could shift into something firm and unshakable in an instant, strong enough to make even Hongjoong pause and think carefully before acting. Their eldest son, San, was also an alpha. He was already taking on important responsibilities within the family business, and he shared the same goal of keeping his younger brother safe at all times.
The reason behind this extreme protection was very simple. Mingi was an omega. In the world they lived in, alphas held most of the power and high social standing, while omegas were often viewed as rare and valuable possessions. Many people saw them as targets to be used for gaining wealth, status, or control over others. And as the only omega heir of the Kim family, Mingi was considered a prize worth more than any amount of money or land.
Hongjoong and Seonghwa had seen firsthand how others looked at their family with greed, envy, and sometimes even ill intent. They had received threatening messages, dealt with people who tried to lie or manipulate their way into their lives, and heard whispers of secret plans to use their children just to get closer to their fortune. Because of this, they made the difficult decision to keep Mingi close to home. They limited how much time he spent out in the wider world, and made sure that every step he took was watched over and kept safe.
Mingi fully understood why they did these things. He knew deep down that they loved him more than anything else, and he knew just how dangerous the world outside could truly be. But understanding their reasons did not make the heavy feeling of being trapped any easier to bear. Whenever he asked permission to go anywhere, he was met with hesitation, followed by a long list of strict rules, and a team of guards who followed closely behind him no matter where he went. Even when he was allowed to walk through the gardens of his own home, he was never truly alone. There was always someone keeping an eye on him, and always someone ready to report every small detail back to his parents.
“I understand why you do all of this,” Mingi would sometimes say, his voice soft but tight with emotion as he sat across from them at the large dining table. “I know there are people out there who would want to use me or hurt me. But sometimes… I just want to feel like I can breathe.”
Hongjoong would reach across the table and place his hand gently over Mingi’s, his expression softening from its usual serious look. “We only do this to keep you safe, son. The world outside these walls is not as kind as it might seem. It is filled with greed, and risk, and things that could hurt you.”
Seonghwa nodded slowly, his eyes warm and full of affection. His natural scent wrapped around Mingi like a soft, warm blanket, bringing comfort even in those difficult moments. “You are our most precious treasure, my love. We could not bear the thought of anything bad ever happening to you. Just give us a little more time, and we will find a way to help you feel more free.”
But as the weeks and months went by, nothing really changed. The rules stayed exactly the same, the walls around him seemed to feel even closer, and the deep longing he felt only grew stronger each day. He wanted to feel the wind on his face without having someone watching his every move. He wanted to walk down a street where no one knew who he was or how much his family owned. He wanted to experience all the ordinary, simple moments that other people took for granted without a second thought.
That was when he finally made up his mind. He decided that he would find a way to escape, even if it was only for a short while.
At first, he waited for the right moments. He would only try when the household was busy with its usual daily tasks. He waited until his father was deep in long meetings with his secretary Jongho, a tall and capable alpha who handled all of the family’s most sensitive and private matters. He waited until his mother was occupied with his own assistant Yeosang, a calm and steady beta who managed the running of the estate and all their social plans. San, meanwhile, was often away at the company offices or traveling for business, and his mate Wooyoung was one of the very few people who truly understood how Mingi felt. Wooyoung was also an omega, and he had come from another wealthy family much like theirs. Even though he had found happiness and a loving home with San, he still remembered clearly what it felt like to crave the freedom to just be himself. He never judged Mingi for wanting more, and in time, he became the only person who knew about his secret plans.
“I will not say a word to them,” Wooyoung told him one afternoon as they sat together in the garden. He kept a close watch on his son, who was running around chasing a bright butterfly through the flowers. His voice was soft but firm, showing he meant what he said. “But you must be very careful, Mingi. If your father and mother find out you have been leaving without telling them, they will only make the rules even stricter. And you know how worried they get whenever they think you might be in danger.”
“I promise I will be careful,” Mingi replied, his voice quiet but filled with determination. “I do not plan to stay away long. I just need to feel like I can breathe properly again, even if it is only for a little while.”
When the right chance finally came, he slipped quietly out through a small side gate that was rarely used. He wore simple, plain clothing that had no designer labels or expensive details that would mark him as someone from a wealthy family. He walked quickly but calmly, keeping his head down and trying not to draw attention to himself. He kept going until he reached the edge of the city, where the wide, fancy avenues turned into ordinary streets lined with regular shops and homes. Eventually, he arrived at a large, quiet park, a place he had only ever seen in photographs before. Stepping onto its soft grass felt like stepping into a completely different world. The air smelled of fresh earth and blooming flowers, instead of the usual scent of polished wood and expensive candles that filled the mansion. He could hear children laughing as they ran around, older people sitting on benches reading newspapers, and couples walking slowly while holding hands. These were ordinary lives, filled with ordinary moments, things he had only ever watched from behind thick glass windows.
Mingi could not help but smile as he looked around. For the first time in so long, even if it was just for a short while, he truly felt free. He found a wooden bench resting under the shade of a large oak tree and sat down slowly. He let out a long, deep breath, one that felt like it had been held inside him for years. Right then, there was no one watching him. No one asking where he was going or what he was doing. No one telling him to be careful or treating him like something so fragile that it might break if handled too roughly. He closed his eyes, tilted his face up toward the warm sunlight, and just let himself exist in that quiet moment.
Soon, this became his little routine. Two or three times a week, whenever the house was quiet enough and everyone was busy with their own work, he would slip out and spend an hour or two sitting on that same bench. He made sure to keep his real identity hidden, speaking only when necessary to anyone who passed by, and always returning home before anyone noticed he was gone. He knew it was risky, and that there would be serious consequences if he was caught, but to him it was worth every bit of that risk.
Then came the day when everything changed.
It happened on one such quiet afternoon. Sunlight filtered through the leaves of the trees, falling in soft golden streaks across the grass, and the air smelled of fresh grass and damp soil from earlier watering. Mingi was sitting on his usual bench, with a book resting open on his knees. He had not been there more than ten minutes when something warm and furry suddenly ran straight into his legs, nearly knocking him off balance. He jumped slightly in surprise and looked down, only to find a golden retriever with soft fluffy fur and bright, friendly brown eyes. Its tail was wagging so hard that its whole body shook, and it immediately pressed its wet nose gently against Mingi’s hands. Despite the shock, Mingi could not help but let out a soft laugh.
“Hey there, where did you come from?” he asked gently, reaching down to scratch behind the dog’s ears. The animal leaned happily into his touch and made soft, contented sounds.
“Bingo! I am so sorry about that. He really does have a mind of his own sometimes,” called out a deep, warm voice from nearby, followed quickly by the sound of footsteps hurrying over.
Mingi looked up and found himself looking at a young man who appeared to be around the same age as his older brother San. He was tall and broad shouldered, with soft brown hair and kind eyes that held a gentle, friendly light. He was dressed in simple, comfortable clothes, and as he came closer, Mingi caught a faint, clean scent drifting from him. It smelled like fresh rain and pine trees, calm and natural, nothing like the heavy, sharp, or expensive scents he was used to smelling from the alphas around his family home. The man stopped a few feet away and bowed slightly to show he was sorry, with an open and sincere smile on his face.
“I hope he did not scare you,” he said as he reached out to fasten the loose leash back onto Bingo’s collar. “He usually stays right by my side, but the moment he sees something interesting or fun, he seems to forget every single command I have ever taught him.”
Mingi found himself smiling back in return. The tight tension that usually sat in his shoulders and chest began to fade away just a little. “It is really no trouble at all. He seems very sweet and friendly,” he replied, though his voice came out quieter than he meant it to be. He was not used to speaking with people outside of his own family and staff.
The man paused for just a moment, as if he had not expected such a kind and calm response, before he chuckled softly and scratched Bingo behind the ears. “He really is. I am Yunho, by the way. Jeong Yunho.” He held out his hand toward Mingi in a polite greeting.
Mingi hesitated for only a split second before reaching out to take it. His fingers brushed against Yunho’s large, warm palm, and he felt a quiet shift deep inside his chest, though he did not quite understand what it meant yet. “Mingi,” he said. He did not add his family name, and did not share any more details than were absolutely necessary. Even though he felt comfortable, he still kept his guard up, just as he had learned to do over the years.
Yunho sat down at the far end of the same bench, keeping a respectful distance so that Mingi would not feel crowded. For a little while, they simply watched as Bingo trotted happily across the grass, stopping every few steps to sniff at bushes and flowers. The silence between them did not feel awkward or heavy at all. Instead, it felt easy and natural, like something that fit perfectly in that quiet space. After a few minutes, Yunho spoke again, his tone relaxed and unhurried.
“I have not seen you around this park before. Do you live somewhere nearby?”
Mingi thought carefully for only a moment before answering, choosing his words with great care. “Not exactly. I just… enjoy coming here sometimes. It is quiet, and it feels peaceful.”
Yunho nodded slowly, accepting the answer without asking more questions or pushing for details. “I know exactly what you mean. The city can feel so loud, busy, and crowded most days, but this place feels like a little corner of the world where time moves a little slower. I come here every afternoon too, right after I finish my work. It always helps clear my mind after a long day.”
For a while, they talked about nothing in particular, just simple, easy topics that needed no heavy explanations. Yunho spoke openly and honestly, without any trace of arrogance or pretense, and little by little, Mingi felt himself beginning to relax. The careful walls he had built around himself over so many years started to lower just a little more, letting him feel more at ease than he had in a very long time. He learned that Yunho worked in a small office in the middle of the city, lived all by himself in a simple but comfortable apartment, and that his family lived far away out in the countryside where they owned a small farm. Yunho explained that he had moved to the city several years ago to find work and earn money to help support his parents and younger brother. He sent most of his salary back home every single month, keeping only just enough to cover his own basic needs and daily expenses.
“Whenever I happen to have a little extra money left over at the end of the month,” Yunho added, his voice growing softer and warmer, “I either donate it to those who need it or use it to buy toys, books, and school supplies for the children at the local orphanage not far from here. They do not have much to call their own, and it feels really good to be able to give something back and bring a little joy into their lives.”
Mingi listened closely, completely fascinated by everything he heard. This was a life that felt so different from the one he had always known. There was no vast fortune, no large staff of servants, and no heavy pressure to manage a huge business empire. Yet somehow it felt full of something warm, real, and genuine. When Yunho asked him in return where he lived or what he did each day, Mingi chose his words carefully. He simply told him that he came from a family that valued their privacy above all else, that he had grown up very sheltered and protected, and that he was only just starting to step out and see the world for himself. He never mentioned his family name, the size of their mansion, or the wealth and influence they held. He also made sure to steer the conversation away from any details that could give away who he really was. Yunho never pushed him for more information, never asked questions that felt intrusive, and never pressed for answers Mingi was not ready to give. That understanding made Mingi feel safe in a way he rarely felt anywhere else.
As the afternoon went on, the sun began to sink lower and lower in the sky, painting the clouds and the horizon in soft shades of orange, pink, and deep gold. When Mingi noticed how late it had become, he realized just how much time had passed and stood up quickly, his heart giving a small jump of panic. “I should really be going now. It is getting late.”
Yunho stood up as well, taking a firm but gentle hold of Bingo’s leash so the dog would not wander off again. “Of course, I understand completely. Thank you for letting Bingo bother you earlier, Mingi. It was truly wonderful getting to talk with you today.”
Mingi paused for a moment at the edge of the path, glancing back over his shoulder before he could stop himself. “Would… would it be alright if we did this again sometime? If I come back here, would you be around?”
A bright, happy smile spread across Yunho’s face, and the clean scent of rain and pine that surrounded him seemed to soften even more, growing lighter and sweeter around the edges. “I would like that more than I can say. I come here every single day at this same time, so whenever you feel like coming back, I will be here waiting.”
From that day onward, their meetings turned into something steady and regular. Mingi found himself looking forward to each afternoon more than anything else, counting down the hours until he could slip quietly out of the estate and walk toward the park. He knew that when he arrived, Yunho would already be there waiting, and Bingo would come trotting over with his tail wagging wildly in greeting. What had started as simple, casual conversation slowly grew into a true friendship, and before long it deepened into something far more meaningful, something that made Mingi’s heart beat a little faster every time he caught sight of Yunho’s face.
Yunho slowly became his guide to the world outside the tall walls of his home. Things that felt ordinary and normal to most people were completely new, exciting, and even a little thrilling to Mingi. One afternoon, Yunho suggested they take a short walk to a nearby fast food restaurant. Mingi hesitated at first, feeling unsure. He was not used to places like that. All his life, every meal he ate had been prepared by highly trained chefs, served on fine china and silverware, and eaten in quiet, formal dining rooms. But when they stepped inside the building, the rich smell of freshly fried food and warm, soft bread filled the air. The noise and energy of the place did not feel overwhelming at all, instead it felt lively and welcoming.
“What would you like to order?” Yunho asked him as they stood in line at the counter.
Mingi did not answer right away, because he honestly had no idea what any of the items were or what might be good to eat. He looked up at the large menu board above the counter, but there were so many choices written there that he could not make up his mind. “Um… which one do you think tastes best?” he asked quietly, leaning in a little closer so no one else nearby would hear him.
Yunho looked down at him, and could not help but let out a soft, amused laugh. “You have never eaten at a place like this before, have you?”
Mingi shook his head quickly, and felt his cheeks grow warm with embarrassment, which only made Yunho smile even more.
“Alright then, I will go ahead and order for us both,” Yunho said gently. “You can just find us a nice table somewhere while I take care of this.”
Mingi stood frozen for a moment and did not move right away. He was not sure what to do. He was used to having staff lead him to a table and pull out his chair whenever he went out to eat with his family, so the idea of choosing his own seat felt strange. Yunho noticed his hesitation immediately and gave him a reassuring smile to help him relax.
Mingi did not want Yunho to guess just how unfamiliar he was with all of this, so he forced himself to walk away from the counter and picked a table near the back of the room, somewhere quiet and out of direct view of most people.
While he waited, he let his eyes wander around the whole restaurant. Some tables were already filled with people, others were empty. He saw groups of friends laughing as they ate, families sharing meals together, and small children happily digging into their food. There was a steady hum of noise and activity, and it brought a warm, lively feeling to the whole space. Mingi was not quite sure what to make of it. He had spent so long living in the quiet, controlled atmosphere of his home, and here he was now, sneaking away from his family just to feel free, surrounded by the very noise and activity he was never allowed to be part of.
Only a few minutes later, Yunho returned carrying a tray loaded with food and drinks. Mingi’s eyes went wide as he watched him set everything down on the table. There were different kinds of burgers, crispy fried chicken in a few different flavors, large portions of crispy fries, and cold drinks for both of them.
“That is quite a lot of food,” Mingi said, sounding surprised as he looked at everything spread out before him. “I hope you did not spend all your money on this. How much does it cost? Let me pay you back right now.” He reached into his pocket to pull out his wallet, but Yunho stopped him gently.
“Please, do not worry about it,” Yunho said with a soft laugh as he sat down across from him. “I just wanted you to be able to taste a little bit of everything here. I promise, it all tastes very good.” He explained it with a big, friendly smile on his face.
Mingi could not help but smile back as he watched Yunho arrange the food neatly. When he took his first bite of the burger and then the chicken, his eyes widened in genuine surprise. “This tastes better than anything I have ever eaten in my whole life,” he admitted honestly, not even noticing that a small crumb had stuck to the corner of his mouth.
Yunho laughed softly and leaned forward across the table, gently brushing the crumb away with his thumb. “See? I told you it would be good.”
Mingi paused mid-bite the moment he felt the warm touch of Yunho’s fingers against his skin. It felt so soft and natural, yet it sent a gentle warmth spreading all the way down his neck and chest. Yunho did not seem to notice how much that simple gesture had affected him, and once his face was clean, he leaned back again and rested comfortably in his chair.
“You know, you look quite cute when you eat, even if you do make a little mess,” Yunho teased him gently.
Mingi frowned right away, feeling a little embarrassed. “I am not messy at all. It is just that the food tastes so good I did not pay attention to anything else,” he argued, trying to defend himself.
Yunho laughed again, clearly pleased by his reaction. “Alright, alright, I will not say you are messy anymore,” he said, looking at him with that same warm smile. “I will just say you look very cute instead.”
The words made Mingi’s face grow even warmer, and he quickly looked down at his food to hide the way he was blushing.
As time went on, their outings began to expand beyond just sitting in the park or eating simple meals. They visited the local arcade, where Mingi’s fingers fumbled at first with the controls and buttons, not quite sure how to play the games. Yunho would stand close beside him, guiding his hands gently until Mingi got the hang of it. When he finally started scoring points and winning rounds, Mingi would cheer loudly, his own natural scent growing rich and sweet like vanilla and soft peaches, a scent that Yunho quickly learned to recognize and loved more and more each time. They also went to the cinema, sitting side by side in the dim theater while sharing a large bucket of popcorn. Every so often their shoulders or arms would brush against each other, and that small contact sent tiny sparks of warmth running through both of them. They even rode buses and trains, forms of public transport that Mingi had only ever seen from behind the dark, tinted windows of his family’s luxury vehicles. At first he felt a little nervous, being surrounded by crowds of strangers, but with Yunho right there beside him, resting a steady hand gently on his lower back to guide him safely through the crowd, he felt protected in a way that was very different from the heavy, guarded protection he knew at home.
“You do not need to be afraid of anything,” Yunho told him once, when Mingi flinched slightly as someone bumped into them on a busy street. “I am right here with you. Nothing is going to happen to you while I am around.”
And Mingi truly believed him. With Yunho, he did not have to follow any strict rules, live up to any high expectations, or carry the weight of his family’s name and status. He could walk wherever he wanted, laugh as loudly as he pleased, try new things without fear, and say exactly what was on his mind. Even so, Mingi still took care to stay out of sight whenever they went out. He kept his head down, wore simple hats or hoods to cover his face a little, and chose quieter streets and less crowded places just in case someone might recognize him. Yunho never questioned why he did these things, never asked for reasons or explanations. He simply accepted it without a second thought. Whenever he noticed Mingi starting to feel uneasy or nervous, Yunho would subtly move just a little closer, letting his warm, calming alpha scent wrap around him completely. It always worked instantly, soothing Mingi’s nerves and helping him relax, and without even realizing it, Mingi found himself leaning into that comfort more and more.
As weeks turned into months, the clear line between friendship and something deeper slowly began to fade. Their conversations grew softer and more intimate, their eyes lingered on each other longer than necessary, and every touch became more intentional and meaningful. Their fingers brushed together more often as they walked, hands rested lightly on arms or shoulders, and there were moments when they stood so close that their scents mixed naturally together, wrapping around each other without either of them trying to hold back.
Mingi felt the strong pull between them growing stronger every single day. Yunho’s natural alpha scent stirred something deep within him, making his own omega body react in ways he had never felt before. His skin felt more sensitive and warm, his heart raced faster whenever Yunho leaned in close to speak near his ear, and he found himself wanting to be even closer, to feel more of that warmth and comfort. There were times when he wished he could let go of all his secrets and fears, stop hiding who he was, and just be fully and completely with the man who had given him the first true taste of freedom and happiness he had ever known.
One quiet afternoon, as the sun began to sink low in the sky and painted the clouds in rich shades of orange and deep purple, they sat side by side on their usual bench. There was no need for many words between them, just a peaceful and comfortable silence that felt like a natural part of being together. After a while, Yunho turned his whole body to face Mingi directly, his expression serious and steady but still soft with the affection he held in his heart.
“Mingi,” he said, letting his voice drop lower and warmer than it usually was. “I know there are parts of your life and things about yourself that you have not yet told me, and I respect that completely. I would never try to force you to speak about anything you are not ready to share. But I need you to understand something clearly. What I feel for you goes far beyond simple friendship. Every single time I see your face, every time I hear your voice, or even just catch a hint of your scent in the air, it feels like I have finally found something I have been searching for my whole life without even knowing it.”
Mingi felt his breath catch sharply in his throat, and his heart began to beat so fast and loud in his chest that he was almost certain Yunho could hear it even over the soft sounds of the park around them. He looked deep into Yunho’s eyes and saw nothing but honesty, kindness, and warmth shining back at him, and he knew without a doubt that he felt exactly the same way. “I… I feel it too,” he whispered, his voice trembling just a little with emotion. “I have never felt this strongly about anyone before, not even close. But… my life is not simple or easy, Yunho. There are many things about my world that would make this difficult, and in some ways it could even be dangerous for both of us.”
“I do not care if it is difficult,” Yunho replied gently, reaching out to cup Mingi’s face in his large, warm hand. His thumb brushed lightly and slowly across Mingi’s cheek, a touch that felt both comforting and full of promise. “As long as you will let me stand right beside you, I am ready to face whatever comes our way together. All I ask is that you trust me.”
From that moment on, their relationship shifted completely. It moved past friendship and grew into something deeper, more intimate, and far more meaningful. They began to choose places where they could be entirely alone, away from the eyes of strangers or anyone who might recognize Mingi. Before long, Yunho’s apartment became their safe haven. It was a simple space, furnished with ordinary pieces and lit by soft, warm lamps, and it always carried the familiar, comforting scent of Yunho mixed with the faint smell of Bingo’s fur and the fresh air drifting in through the windows. It was nothing like the grand, spacious rooms of the Kim mansion, but to Mingi it felt like the safest and most peaceful place in the whole world. There, he did not have to hide who he was or hold back what he felt. He could finally let his guard fall completely, let his own natural scent unfurl freely through the air, and Yunho would wrap him in his own calming alpha scent, marking him gently in small, quiet ways that felt like a promise of protection and belonging.
At first, their physical closeness was slow, careful, and filled with patience. Yunho understood that Mingi had never been touched in such an intimate way before, and that aside from his own family, he had never been this close to another alpha. He took his time with every movement, always checking in to make sure Mingi felt safe, comfortable, and fully wanted. Their kisses began soft and sweet, just a light brushing of lips before slowly deepening into something more, their tongues exploring each other gently and carefully. As they grew more familiar, their hands began to wander over each other’s clothed bodies, learning the shape, warmth, and feel of one another, savoring every new sensation.
“You feel so beautiful like this,” Yunho murmured against Mingi’s skin one evening as they lay together on the bed, his voice growing deeper and rougher, thick with growing desire. “So soft, so warm, and made perfectly just for me, my sweet omega.”
Mingi arched his back off the mattress, his fingers tangling tightly into Yunho’s hair, while his hips lifted and rolled upward instinctively, searching for closer contact and more of that wonderful feeling. “Yunho… please… I… I need more than just this,” he breathed out, his voice shaking with need.
Yunho lifted his head to look down at him, his dark eyes now blown wide and heavy with lust, his lips swollen and pink from all their kissing. He held Mingi’s gaze, his expression filled with love and careful restraint, but also with a hunger that matched and mirrored Mingi’s own. “Are you absolutely sure about this, princess? We can stop right here if you want.”
“I am sure,” Mingi answered without a single moment of hesitation. His voice trembled but held firm and clear. “I want this, Yunho.”
A low, deep rumble vibrated up from Yunho’s chest, a sound that was both possessive and tender, and it sent sharp waves of excitement running straight through Mingi’s whole body. Yunho shifted his position, moving lower between Mingi’s legs, and gently spread his thighs apart with his hands. His thumbs brushing lightly over his sensitive clit, making him gasp sharply and arch his back again, a soft, breathless curse slipping from his lips.
“God yes… do not stop touching me,” Mingi moaned, his head falling back against the pillows, his eyes fluttering shut as pleasure began to build inside him.
Yunho did not rush or hurry. He took his time, kissing and licking his way slowly up and down the soft skin of Mingi’s inner thighs, his warm breath fanning over the most sensitive area and making Mingi squirm and cry out softly. When he finally touched him fully, sliding his fingers slowly into the warm, wet heat entrance waiting for him, Mingi let out a loud, unrestrained sound, his hands gripping the bed sheets so tightly they crumpled and wrinkled beneath his fingers.
“Ah—Yunho… that feels so good… so deep,” Mingi gasped, his hips moving in time with the slow, steady rhythm of Yunho’s fingers. “More… please give me more…”
Yunho added a second finger, stretching and preparing him with great care, while his thumb still pressed gently against his clit that made Mingi’s vision blur and his legs tremble uncontrollably. He moved with skill and tenderness, finding the spot deep inside that made Mingi feel as though he was seeing stars, and curled his fingers to press against it over and over again, drawing louder and more desperate sounds from the omega lying beneath him.
“You take me so well,” Yunho praised, his voice thick and heavy with his own rising desire, his hips pressing down lightly against the mattress to ease the ache he felt. “You were made for this, made perfectly for me alone.”
“Yes… only for you, my alpha,” Mingi managed to say between gasps and soft moans, his words breaking into quiet curses as the pleasure built higher and hotter inside him. “I am so close… Yunho… I am going to come…”
“Come for me, princess,” Yunho encouraged him, his fingers moving faster and deeper while his mouth closed over the clit he had been touching. “Let go and come apart around my fingers. I want to feel every bit of it.”
It only took a few more strokes and the warmth of Yunho’s mouth to push him over the edge. Mingi cried out loudly, his back arching high off the bed, his legs shaking violently as wave after wave of intense pleasure washed over him completely. His body tightened around Yunho’s fingers, his inner walls fluttering and contracting again and again, and he rode out the sensation until he was left breathless and limp, his skin glowing with a thin sheen of sweat.
Even then, Yunho did not stop immediately. He kept touching him gently, prolonging the feeling until Mingi began to whimper from the sensitivity, pushing weakly at Yunho’s shoulders even as his hips still lifted unconsciously seeking more contact. Then Yunho moved back up his body, kissing and licking his way slowly up from his thighs all the way to his face, wiping away the sweat and brushing away the tears that had gathered at the corners of Mingi’s eyes.
“Is it too much?” Yunho asked softly, his voice still rough but filled with care and concern, his own breathing heavy and fast.
Mingi shook his head, reaching down to wrap his hand firmly around Yunho’s hard cock, stroking him slowly and steadily, which made Yunho groan and press into the touch eagerly. “No… it is never too much… now it is my turn to make you feel just as good.”
He shifted carefully, guiding Yunho to lie back comfortably against the pillows, then settled himself between his legs. Leaning down, he took Yunho into his mouth, surrounding him with warm, wet heat. Yunho’s head fell back instantly, his hands tangling into Mingi’s hair, his hips lifting slightly off the bed as he let out a long, rough groan.
“Mingi… yes… just like that,” Yunho breathed out, his voice deep and strained with pleasure. “Your mouth feels so warm and perfect…”
Mingi moved with growing confidence, taking him deeper each time, using his tongue and lips in ways that made Yunho’s whole body tense and tremble. He listened closely to every sound Yunho made and every shift of his body, adjusting his pace and pressure until Yunho was shaking beneath him, his grip on Mingi’s hair tightening just enough to show how close he was to his release. When he finally came, he pulled Mingi up into a fierce, deep kiss, sharing the taste between them as their bodies pressed tightly together, neither wanting to let go of the other.
Afterward, they lay tangled in each other’s arms, catching their breath and letting their hearts slow down. Yunho pulled the blanket up over both of them to keep the chill of the room away, and they rested comfortably, wrapped in warmth and closeness. The silence between them was soft and peaceful, filled only with the sound of their breathing and the gentle mixing of their scents in the air.
They did not go all the way, Yunho told Mingi that he wanted to wait until they were both completely ready, until they had talked about everything they wanted and needed, and until the moment felt right for both of them. Mingi appreciated that patience more than he could say. It made him feel safe, respected, and valued not just as an omega, but as a whole person with his own feelings and boundaries.
Slowly, Mingi began to feel deep inside that this was where he truly belonged. Not in the big, imposing mansion with its cold walls, endless rules, and constant watchfulness, but here in this small apartment, wrapped in Yunho’s arms and surrounded by his scent and warmth. He started to let himself dream of a future where they could be together openly, where he would not have to sneak out or hide who he was, where he could be Yunho’s mate and live a quiet, happy life far away from the pressures and expectations of his family name.
Back at the Kim Estate, Yeosang moved quietly through the long hallways, checking that everything was in its proper place and making sure Seonghwa had everything he needed for the evening. Yeosang was a calm and very observant man, with sharp and reliable beta senses, and he had noticed for some time now that Mingi had changed in small but noticeable ways. He had not mentioned anything to anyone else yet, choosing to watch and wait until he was sure of what he was seeing. But when he crossed paths with Mingi in the hallway that evening, he caught a faint trace of a scent clinging to the air that did not belong to anyone in the house. It was well hidden and lightly masked, but it was definitely there. It was the scent of another alpha, mixed clearly with Mingi’s own familiar scent.
He knocked softly on the door of Seonghwa’s private sitting room and waited patiently until he was invited inside. Seonghwa was sitting near the window reading a book, his posture relaxed but his eyes always carrying that quiet, watchful alertness that never truly left him. He looked up as Yeosang entered and set a tray of freshly brewed tea down on the table beside him.
“Is everything going well?” Seonghwa asked gently. His voice was soft, but it carried the quiet authority of someone who ran the household and commanded respect.
“Everything seems fine for the moment,” Yeosang replied carefully, choosing his words thoughtfully. “But I thought you would want to know that I ran into Mingi just now in the hallway. He was in quite a hurry to get upstairs to his room, and I caught a faint scent on him that I do not recognize. It is well hidden, but it is definitely there. It smells like another alpha’s scent mixed right in with his own.”
Seonghwa’s fingers tightened slightly around the spine of his book, and his expression shifted in an instant from calm to sharp and alert. For a while now, he had suspected that Mingi was finding ways to slip out of the estate grounds, but he had hoped that wherever he went, he was staying safe and not putting himself in any risky situations. Now hearing that there was another alpha involved made his strong protective instincts flare up immediately. His mind began to race, going through all the possible scenarios and dangers this new development could bring to their family.
“Thank you for telling me this, Yeosang,” Seonghwa said quietly, his voice growing cooler and sharper with concern. “Do not mention this to anyone else for now. I will speak to Hongjoong as soon as he is free from his work and meetings, and we will find out exactly what is going on. If our son has grown close to someone without telling us, we need to learn who this person is and what their true intentions are before we decide how to handle the situation.”
As Yeosang bowed slightly and left the room, closing the door softly behind him, Seonghwa sat back in his chair. He set his book aside and rested his hands firmly on his lap, his jaw set in a determined line. His eyes narrowed as he stared out the window at the darkening sky, his mind already turning over all the ways he would protect his youngest child, no matter what secrets or surprises they might have to face.
