Just for a moment, Mingi wonders if everything, the past few months, this conversation even, is just a dream. That he'll wake up and everything will be fine. He'll still be in his old job, Yunho won't be mad at him, and he won’t have made a huge mistake. Just for a moment, Mingi breathes in.
Then, it all comes crashing down. He inhales sharply and starts feeling the tell-tale signs of panic start in his hands, as they always do. His fingers begin fidgeting, and it's a matter of time before the shaking sets in. Yunho has sat himself on the edge of his bed, and looks down at them just as Mingi adamantly tries to get the twitching to stop. He knows. Yunho always knows.
Mingi's mother has always told him he needs to try his best. The problem is, lately, it never seems like his best is good enough.
Or, Mingi gets a promotion at work, and it all slips away from him faster than he can deal with. Luckily, Yunho and his friends are there to catch him when he falls.
