“Ugh, she's so annoying.” Plasmaball remarked for the forty-seventh time that evening.
The bathroom smelt like lovely, fresh rose shampoo and bath water. The mirrors were fogged up from the steam coming from the bath which was filled so the water reached Knight helmet’s shoulders. The water was transparent but bubbly, radiating that signature scent of his.
She ran soap through Knight helmet's hair, her fingers working through his red locks. She wasn't too sure how to deal with hair, herself being bald, but she tried her best and tried not to accidentally tug on his hair so he wouldn't scream.
“Who does she think she is to be pulling these moves on everyone…” Plasmaball grumbled to herself, of course, talking about Slipper, “And for NO reason!”
She accidentally splashed at the water in the bath as she said that; drops of soapy water were splashed onto Knight helmet's face.
“Agh- Careful now!” He recoiled.
Plasmaball huffed, “Seriously? Whatever- sorry I just-” she sighed, “She is so DEAD this elimination…”
“Agreed,” Knight helmet nodded and crossed his arms, sloshing the bubbly water around the bath, “It took me ages to get out of those bushes!”
Plasma ball just grumbled as her hands reached the metallic “scalp” of Knight helmet's hair. She lathered the soap into his hair a little more before removing her hands. Knight helmet glanced at her and smiled at her gratefully.
“I can't thank you enough for agreeing to do this my fellow squire, I wouldn't want to look a mess at the elimination.”
“You begged me to help you.”
“Same same.”
Plasmaball exhaled a laugh as she rinsed off the soap on her hands into the bath. She picked up a cup from the side of the tub and filled it with water.
“Tilt your head back for me.”
“Not now! What is the rush?”
“Hm? Why not?”
“Oh, Plasmaball,” Knight helmet turned to her, “you don't just rinse soap out immediately, you let it sit so your locks can absorb it!”
“I don't know why you keep saying ‘you’ considering…” she didn't finish her sentence and just gestured to her shiny bald head, “But okay, sure, how long are you supposed to leave it in?”
“Three minutes.”
“THREE MINUTES?!”
“Three minutes is NOT that long.”
“Three minutes.”
Plasmaball sighed and put the cup down, she leaned against the bathtub, resting her head on her hand.
“Can't believe that Slipper has you wasting three minutes of your life…” her grip tightened on the side of the bath as electricity gathered in her head. (A/N I didn't know how to word this I was genuinely about to say electricity gathered in her ball ✌️)
Knight helmet noticed and leaned closer to put a gentle hand on hers, “Maybe we shouldn't talk about her right now,” he suggested.
Plasma ball blinked and blushed a little from the contact before glancing away and muttering “Yeah, she can wait.”
Knight helmet smiled, softly at first, then it turned slightly mischievous. He suddenly lifted his hands from the water, splashing a lot of it onto her. She was caught by surprise and jolted up before breaking into laughter.
“Hey- you don't just get to do that!” Plasmaball splashed water back at his face in response which turned into a short, immature splash fight.
At one point Knight helmet overdid it and splashed a little too much water onto her and all over the bathroom tiles. Plasmaball yelped and stepped back for a moment.
“Oh- goodness, I apologise I forgot that you're electric…” He recoiled his hand, “That didn't hurt, did it?”
“Nah, don't worry,” Plasmaball shook her head before stepping closer again, “It only hurts a little if I'm in water for a long time.”
Knight helmet hummed in acknowledgement before asking, “How do you bathe then?”
“I mean… I try not to get dirty,” She rubbed the back of her head, “But if I do I just splash some water on myself, it does the job.”
“You don't shower?”
“Don't make me sound like that. The only reason YOU shower is because you have hair that can collect dirt.” She scoffed before turning away dramatically, “I don't get the luxury of showering.” She leaned her back against the tub and put a hand to her head, somewhat imitating him.
Knight helmet sighed and looked down at the water, “How unfortunate…” He sighed, genuinely feeling bad for her.
He then perked up as he got an idea. He sat up and leaned forward closer to Plasmaball and turned her to face him.
“Wha- hm?!” Plasmaball was cut off when she was pulled forward by Knight helmet. His hands were slightly soapy and were gently rubbing against her glass face, careful not to touch the crack on her face.
Soap lathered in his hands against her face and bubbles formed on her cheeks, covering her subtle blush. Her mouth curved into a confused smile before she snorted a laugh.
“What are you doing??”
“Making you shine, my dear Plasmaball.”
She scoffed and glanced away from him, not exactly pulling away either, not like she wanted to. She did enjoy these little moments with him, even if they were pointless.
Suddenly, Knight helmet pulled her closer and placed a soft kiss under her face, just missing her mouth by a few inches. Plasmaball shoved at him in surprise, almost slipping on the water that had spilled onto the floor. She steadied herself, grabbing the wall to her right and standing back up straight.
“Falling for me so soon?” Knight helmet teased.
“How original of you,” Plasmaball rolled her eyes fondly. She looked down at the water puddle on the floor, “I should probably mop this up before one of us trips.”
She grabbed a mop in the corner of the room and began drying the floor. Knight helmet hummed a tune as she did, making her smile up at him before going back to drying the floor.
As Plasmaball went back to put the mop back in its place she heard the bath water slosh around again. Knight helmet turned to her, looking uncertain.
“Aren’t you a bit sad that CC isn’t voting with us?” He asked.
“Hm… not really,” Plasmaball shrugged and turned back to him, “I mean, she can vote whoever she wants, it doesn’t matter anyway, it’s definitely gonna be either Slipper or Basketball, which would both be pretty good.” She paused before muttering, “Though I really hope it’s Slipper…”
“Ah, you’re right,” Knight helmet nodded, “It’s not like Caramel cube would get voted out.”
“Gosh, you really never know in this game.”
They laughed together for a moment before Knight helmet turned around.
“Alright, you may rinse my hair now.”
Plasmaball sighed and nodded before picking up the cup again, “You really couldn’t have done this yourself?”
“Of course, but you like being here, don’t you?”
“...I do.” She admitted.
There was a long silence as Plasmaball ran water through Knight helmet’s red locks of hair, slowly rinsing out the bubbles. His hair was flat when it was wet, funny to see, but Plasmaball didn’t say anything about it.
She ran her hand through his hair one last time, making sure all the bubbles were gone, before she set the cup down and stepped back.
“You’re good to go now, my knight,” Plasmaball said sarcastically, “Unless you have another routine you need me to know about.”
“I do actually,” He stated rather bluntly, “Drying my hair takes much time and effort so I’d appreciate it if someone would offer to-”
“Fine.” Plasmaball rolled her eyes, grabbing a towel for him.
He accepted the towel and stepped out of the bath with it. Plasmaball was about to walk towards the door before his arms wrapped around her.
“I- what’s this?”
“A thank you, my love, for helping me in my time of dire need.”
“Oh… well this is nothing.” She leaned back into his embrace before turning her face to him and planting a little kiss on his face near his eye. He smiled warmly at that.
“By the way, Knight helmet,” She asked, “When did Gold Ingot say the elimination starts?”
“In ten”
“Ten? Oh, it’s nine right now, we have a lot more time than i thought-”
“-minutes”
“MINUTES?”
