What Should Have Happen
Kai is seeing red. Before he knows what he's doing, he punches AJ in the face. Causing him to fall to the floor with a thud. People are watching in shock and horror at the act of police brutality that just happened. Some of them were filming it causing the videos to spread to the media. Camera vans are blocking the road and reporters are asking questions about what happened. One person calls the police for help.
The sound of boots storming in echoes in the silent restaurant. He tries fighting the officers off, but they manage to arrest him. Looking at his dad and Hina for help. Only to find them looking at him in disappointment and anger. "Your mother would be ashamed of you," Wally says to him while shaking his head in disbelief. The words cut him like a knife. Imagining his mother standing there and crying in sadness and sorrow. Not paying attention to the cops reading him his rights.
It's all over the news. Former Marine gets arrested for attacking a civilian. A man who was just trying to get lunch. He's now sitting in an interrogation room with Curtis sitting in front of him. "Do you have any idea just how many months of work you just ruined?," he growls at him. Face red with raged. Kai says nothing in response. Feeling that his actions were justified. "Cause of you Hale is going to get away with what he did!," the older man yells as he slams his fist against the table.
"He tried to kill me!," he snaps back at him. "Let me get this through your thick skull. There is no evidence of him being the one behind the bomb. You and that boss of yours caused a lot of damage. I'm personally going to see to it that both of you get hold accountable for your actions," he replies as he gets up from the table. Walking out of the room and closing the door. He sighs and leans back into his chair. Meanwhile, in Washington D.C., Leon Vance is doing the paperwork for the reports that he's sending to SEC NAV.
At the same time he's looking for replacements to fill out the two empty spots in the Hawai'i team. Sends temp agents cause he knows Agent Boone will need a partner in the field. 'I knew I shouldn't have hired agent Holman,' he thinks to himself. Knowing that it said in his file that he has anger issues. Having had hoped that the young man could keep them under control. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. And now both him and SAC Tennant got arrested for interfering with an FBI investigation.
Deciding that for now on he was no longer going to allow hot heads in the agency. Feeling ill at the thought that one day an agent like that could end up killing somebody. That's the last thing that they need. It's already bad enough that NCIS and the FBI aren't getting along right now. Not that he can blame them. They haven't always played by the rules and it's coming to bite them in the ass this time. He decides not to focus on right now. Knowing that he has a lot of paperwork to do.
