As the pair walked to the stage, the awkwardness was almost suffocating. Around them, cast members could be heard doing vocal warm-ups, and footsteps scurried all around the area. Nene pointedly didn’t look in his direction and continued walking. She could handle this, right? Rui would be acting alongside her throughout less than half of the musical. When Nene's co-star is unable to perform due to certain circumstances, his replacement turns out to be the boy who'd broken her heart long ago… But maybe, just maybe, things were different this time around.
