“Be straight with me, kid,” she tells Isha. “What’d you think of the other me? Didn’t want to trade me in for the new model?” Ekko glances over his shoulder as he rinses off Isha’s plate, wanting to catch her response.
It comes as no surprise that Isha adamantly shakes her head, hands immediately coming up to dispute that line of thought. He catches something about the eyes being different and bites back a grin. He towels off the plate as well as his mug and sets them back on the counter when he hears Jinx snort.
“The other you had earrings?” She asks and Ekko turns back around. She looks like the cat that got the cream, Isha her devious conspirator at her side. His breath almost catches at the sight they make together. It’s more obvious than ever when they’re side by side that Isha belongs to Jinx. He never could see it with Powder, but the comparison is undeniable here. His brain catches up to her words a second later and he huffs a small laugh.
