Cliff Marleau never imagined he'd find himself in Ottawa. Recovering from an injury and released by the team he thought he’d retire from, he tells himself it could be worse. A good deed lands Cliff in the middle of the Rozanov family drama, caught between his captain and a man he only just met but cannot help wanting to protect. He's determined to bridge the gap between the brothers, but with the ugly voice of his own father echoing in his head and the end of his hockey career shadowing his every step, Cliff isn't sure he can be the man that Andrei needs. There are so many ways it could go wrong.
