It was supposed to be a normal day in Snezhnaya for Pantalone, normal weekend rest to spend time with the Zandik Segments in the laboratory. Unfortunately for him, he doesn't get the attention he usually gets when he with them today.
The Zandiks are experimenting on a device that "mysteriously" appeared in front of their laboratory gate. A device that shaped like an orb with unknown white energy emitting from it, the design is nothing from Teyvat.
It was rare to see all the Segments working together in one room, usually they be running around on their own respectfully funded experiments. (By Pantalone ofc)
Interesting... you dont see a room full of Crows everyday. Pantalone thought as he notice the room is "livelier" than it supposed to.
"Never thought I'll get to witness all of you in one room working together again after your death." Pantalone started with his usual cheerful tone while sitting on a chair, observing the room with an interest expression.
[35] "We all always have different motive, however this unknown device is quite intriguing to just pass to one another so we decided to just experimenting it all together." Dottore admits while analyzing the strange device with a scan tablet.
"I suppose one can get interested in something that is out of the ordinary." Pantalone says as he lazily lean back against the chair. He's a bit disappointed that their attention are on the device instead of him.
"I must say, i might go blind if i stare at it for too long." looks over to the device barely lifting his eyes to see them. Even if he closes his eyes it still hurts a bit.
[25] "You already ruined your lungs for the 100th time, dont make us replace your eyes too." thats true, if it weren't for those "do not smoke" sign the Zandiks put up everywhere, he would've probably finished a pack by now.
[8] "Wouldn't replacing his eyes help him see better? He wont have a problem with being sensitive to light anymore-!"
"-I humbling decline that offer." Pantalone says quickly to dispelled the topic. He quite like his eyes even though it brings him pain whenever he open them in a bright room. He noticed 8 pouting.
haha... would Dottore pout like that?
[18] "Dottore, look at these readings on its energy. Its starting to look as if its alive, like a beating heart." showing [35] the vitals reading they have attached to the device itself.
[35] "How peculiar, it have the ability to produce energy with nothing." while looking over the vitals he notice the energy seem to be faltering. Seeing this, [35] thought "Maybe something needs to activate it."
[65] "Maybe its just an energy light ball, nothing seem to react with it aside from emitting beating light." already losing patience when nothing worked.
[8] "Just a light ball? Such a useless device, even my nightstand is more useful than this." while tip toeing to see over the table. Somehow Pantalone finds this adorable but he tries not to show it.
[45] carries [8] so he gets to see the device better. [45] "You need to grow." saying to [8]."Hmph, its not like im stuck in one age forever." [8] sarcasticly. One might think that these two have a father - son relationship.
"I believe whoever send this to you just want to mess with your brains" As Pantalone gets up from his seat, wanting to see the device itself before Dottore brought his hand out to stop him from getting any closer to it.
Pantalone chuckle "My dear, I don't need to be protected. The device itself isn't even doing anything anyway, but i do appreciate the concern." He's so annoyingly thoughtful when it comes to my safety sometimes, i supposed it cant be helped.
[35] "Feofan." Pantalone stilled.
A warning, is he angry? no.. he sounds... cautious?
As Pantalone about to open his mouth to ask, [35] "Get him out of this room now." he directed to the segments.
Without question, 18 and 25 dragged Pantalone by the arms to the nearest exit while 45 (still carrying 8) and 65 backed away from the device as fast as they can. Its as if something about to explode. ("as if" well uhm....)
"Wait, what-" before Pantalone could asked, the room exploded with blinding light that threaten his sensitive eyes to be sightless. The explosion doesn't destruct, not the kind that hurts.
It releases high gravitational pull so strong that they all collapsed to the ground. (the pull is towards the ground not to the orb, just to clarify.)
Ugh.... i cant move my body- i need.. to get up!- "Feofan!-.." huh.. who-
"Feofan- dont lose-... get up!.." Zandik...
As Pantalone loses his consciousness, he felt his body falling.
