Kiyoomi remembered the time, before he and Atsumu became a thing, when he used to drop him off the MSBY’s dorm building when he doesn’t have class scheduled or activities to finish. it was a particularly good day. Both of them had fun going around the campus area. It almost felt like a date, and he was sure his best friend noticed as well.
They bid their goodbyes. They shared a few words— both trying to imply that they wanted to see each other again. Kiyoomi tried to hide his feelings, whereas atsumu failed. It looked so cute, seriously. He couldn't help but let out a chuckle.
He rolled down the window just as Atsumu waved goodbye. Kiyoomi stared at him a beat too long. At that moment, he hesitated. He did not want to leave yet, if he were being honest.
Atsumu looked down then at him, then down again, contemplating something. His brows furrowed, his lips were pursed a little. What was it? Kiyoomi wanted to know, and so he said: “I’m going,” he almost chuckled when atsumu looked at him a little too desperate.
"See you, Atsumu.”
He waited for a few seconds, still hoping to know what's on his best friend's mind, before he started rolling up the window.
“Omi-kun!”
“...Yes?”
“I enjoyed today…" Atsumu's voice was so low, he almost missed it. "I’ll miss ya.”
Kiyoomi's heart skipped a bit. He had to control himself from smiling!
“I’ll miss you too,” Kiyoomi replied, “I’ll text you later.”
“Oh, ‘kay.”
“Okay.”
"Then.." Atsumu stepped back then tried to turn around but faced him again, now grinning. "Then—! later, Omi.”
“Mhm," Kiyoomi could only hum. With a nod, he faced forward then rolled up the window. He watched Atsumu ran into the building. He laughed, biting his lips as he found himself smiling too wide. He is weird.
