They’re not an item in the sense that they're not exclusive. Whatever it's this thing between them, they’ve never categorized it as a relationship. She was afraid of the implications of it. Kerry wanted to hear nothing of that. They almost brought up the topic a few times, but in all of them something happened that prevented that much needed conversation from coming to fruition. And then the letter arrived at her mailbox at the St. Joseph Hospital, back in Phoenix.
Yet, despite everything, the thought alone of finding Kerry Weaver in the arms of another woman shatters her heart.
What's more terrifying is that itself answers the question that’s been tormenting her for the past six months.
