"Kid, if you take anything out of this whole situation, it should be that you can rebel, but it shouldn't be everything about you," Eliot said.
The teen looked at him like he was crazy. But he was going to keep giving the advice.
"Rebelling against things that are wrong is good," he continued. "But you need to find parts of your life, or make some that don't need you to."
"What if I don't want to?"
"You will never feel fulfilled if you don't find something. I promise that all of us have something we love other than crime."
